 It’s now May, and the North American leg of the 7STARz Carnival has ended. The tour proved to be very successful. What helped drive the ticket sales was 8STARz’ raunchy uniforms, and their underage peepshow and make out session at a movie premiere. That got Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace exploding like crazy. So much so, it angered both 7STARz, and Seth.

 The very next day of that movie premiere, Seth gave a scathing warning concerning the 8’s future. He told them that if their debut single fails, he’ll give them one more shot. But if that falls through, he’s dropping them. And season 4 will never see the light of day. That made the 8 scared.

 Yet, something interesting happened. A week earlier, 8STARz released their debut single, Explode, on iTunes and on the radio. Now the charts are out, and the 8 debuted at number 30. On the iTunes main music chart, they debuted at number 20. As for airplay, it’s just starting. It gave 8STARz hope that they will succeed.

 Now they’re at a meeting with Seth. He began: “Your debut on the charts have been surprising. I didn’t expect you chart so high. Now we begin promoting your song. I have set up TV gigs with Good Morning America, Ellen, and Tyra Banks. But I just got a hold of a very big gig. You would be the very first Disney act to perform on this show.”

 This made the members excited. Greg asked, “What is this gig?”

 Seth answered, “It’s MTV’s Total Request Live, also known as TRL.”

 That made the 8 even more excited! It was a very big gig, and this could catapult them even further with success. Sarah asked, “So, when is this gig? We haven’t even filmed the music video yet.”

 Seth replied, “The gig is in the two weeks, and this week you’ll be filming your music video this week.”

 The members were satisfied. After the meeting was over, the 8 went straight to their social media pages, and announced their upcoming TRL performance. They even announced they’re about to film their debut music video.

 It’s the next day. Breanna was at a coffee-shop. 7STARz were taking some time off before they go back on tour. Their next stop was Latin America. She was on her phone, reading the latest Twitter feeds on 8STARz.

 She saw that the 8 announced they were going to start filming their music video for their climbing hit single, Explode. And on top of that, they’re scheduled to perform on TRL. 

 To be honest, Breanna didn’t expect 8STARz to be tearing through the charts so quickly. They’re climbing rapidly on iTunes. Radio Disney has them on heavy rotation. Even mainstream radio is taking notice, and has begun playing their new single. All it took was that mall performance to be on YouTube, and now they’re moving away from being YouTube and MySpace stars. Oh, and their raunchy uniforms and their peepshow made them even bigger.

 She didn’t like that. They were supposed to be nothing more than kiddy spin-off band that doesn’t chart high on the Billboard Hot 100. They weren’t supposed to receive international attention. Instead, they’re becoming the most talked about Disney Channel act since Miley Cyrus and her Vanity Fair photo shoot!

 As Breanna was reading through the Tweets, Vaughn entered the coffee-shop. She looked up, and he saw her. He pulled out a chair, and sat with her.

 He asked, “So, why did you call me?”

 She replied, “It has to do with 8STARz.”

 “What about them?”

 “Did you read their latest Tweets? They’re going to start filming their music video, and they’ll be performing on TRL in two weeks.”

 “Yeah, I read that. Why?”

 “Why?! Their music video will gain a bunch of hits, and their TRL performance will be on YouTube, and that also means hits. 8STARz will be unstoppable, and before you know it, they’ll bring down 7STARz!”

 With that, the customers stared at Breanna and Vaughn. Then they looked away. Breanna said to Vaughn in a loud whisper, “8STARz are a fucking kiddy spinoff band! They’re not supposed to be more famous than us. We worked our asses off to get people to talk about us. Them? All they did was perform at a mall, dress like school sluts, and act like trashy pornstars. They got people talking about them overnight. They don’t deserve fame. We do!”

 Vaughn looked at her nervously, and said, “So, what do you want me to do?”

 Breanna gave a sly grin. It was obvious she had a plan. A plan to stop 8STARz’ steamrolling success. Will it work?
