Chapter 3

Harry's POV

"Hey, look!" Ron exclaimed, pointing at an elegant, chestnut brown owl with big, grey eyes. In its claws are four letters flying through the air. The owl swooped in, dropping the letters on the table, before flying back out. "The Hogwarts letter has arrived!" Mrs. Wealsey said excitedly, hurriedly rushing towards Ron, Hermione, Ginny and I, sitting at the table.

"How come there are four?" Ginny asked. Mrs. Wealsey snatched the letters, flipping each one over to examine it. "This is for you, Ginny," Molly exclaimed, passing one of the letters to Ginny. "And there's one for each of you as well!" Mrs. Weasley said. The three of us perked up, waiting anxiously for Mrs. Wealsey to give us our letters.

She handed us our letter, and we ripped them open with excitement.

Dear Harry Potter,

We are pleased to inform that you have been given a chance to redo your seventh year because of the Battle of Hogwarts. This is an optional choice, and you may decide not to go back to Hogwarts.

If you are willing to redo your seventh year, You will find a list of all necessary books and equipment for Hogwarts.

Term starts on September 1st.

Yours sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall

Hermione looked up with a shocked face, her mouth hanging ajar. We all read the letter once more to check if this was just our imagination. But we read it over and over again, until we were positive that it was true. We were going back to Hogwarts, to redo our seventh year.

Harry's POV

Ginny pushed her cart forward, sprinting at the wall between platforms 9 and 10. "Alright, you next, Hermione," Mrs. Weasley said, gesturing Hermione to come forward. Hermione walked over and pushed her cart into the wall before she disappeared. "Together?" Ron asked. I nodded. Together, we charged the wall, running straight through the barrier and arriving at Platform 9¾.

Mrs. Weasley appeared behind us just as we arrived. "C'mon, guys! We're going to be late!" Hermione shouted, beckoning us to join her and Ginny. We ran to catch up and we all climbed aboard.

We found an empty compartment somewhere in the middle of the train, and sat down, looking out the window to see Mrs. Weasley waving goodbye as the train slowly started to accelerate. We heard the roaring engine creaking against the rails and we watched Mrs. Weasley appeared smaller and smaller, until she was no longer visible.

"Hey, guys!" A voice called. A girl and a boy started to walk over, holding hands. "So, are you guys, like, official?" Hermione asked. Neville nodded, and Luna smiled. "You guys are so cute together!" Ginny squealed. They both blushed red at the comment, before joining us in our compartment.

We closed the door to our compartment, and Luna started to fiddle with her charm necklace; a dark, green color, with a venemous snake wrapped around the letter "V." "That's an interesting necklace." I observed. "Thank you. My father got it from a thrift store. He says it protects you from dark magic." Luna explained. Hermione stared at it for a moment, but eventually moved on.

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door. "The trolley is already here? We've only just boarded the train," Neville asked. We slid open the door, but we didn't see the trolley. Instead, there was a tall boy with his blonde hair gelled back, perfect green silk robes, and his trunk in hand. "What do you want, Malfoy?" Ron scowled. Draco sneered, but he didn't say anything back. "Ron, be nice. I invited him to sit with us in the ride to Hogwarts," Ginny explained.

Ron crosses his arms and glared at him occasionally, a scowl forming on his lips. Draco sat down next to Ginny, and he placed his trunk down. "Is there a particular reason that you're here, Malfoy?" Hermione asked, not bothering to hide the hatred in her voice.

"See? I knew this was a bad idea!" Draco exclaimed, getting up to leave before Ginny pulled him back down. "Say it, Draco." Ginny warned, pointing her wand at him. He sighed. "I'm here to form a truce between all of us," Draco explained. "I don't want to spend my last year of Hogwarts getting back at each other. I'm sorry for bullying you these past years, and I want to fix my mistakes. What I'm saying is, I want to be friends, Potter," Draco said.

Ginny elbowed him, and he winced, clutching his arm. "-Harry," He corrected. Ginny smiled. Luna and Neville grinned, nodding at each other. "Of course," Luna accepted. "Sure," Neville replied. Everyone stared at the three of us, and we stayed silent. "I- S-Sure. I accept your apology," Hermione accepted reluctantly. Ron and I stared at Hermione in surprise. "C'mon, guys. Draco is trying to fix his flaws. You should too," Ginny urged.

"Fine," I exclaimed. "I accept your apology. But don't think we can just be friends after what you've done," I argued. Draco faintly smiled, nodding at my comment. Ron gaped at me, his eyes wide with shock. "Alright, fine!" Ron blurted, leaning back in exasperation. Ginny smiled. "Well, I should go back," Draco noticed, checking his watch. "See you at Hogwarts," Ginny said. "Yeah," He replied, hurrying off to his own friends.

We hopped off the train, talking to each other about our eighth year at Hogwarts. "I don't think anyone was ever allowed an eight year at Hogwarts," Hermione noted. We nodded, following her to the carriages. Hermione, Ron, Neville, and Ginny marveled at the Threstals, standing elegantly in front of the carriages. Even with it's ghost-like appearance, it still looked beautiful in the moonlight, ready to pull the carriage to Hogwarts.

We picked a random carriage and climbed on, sitting in a circle. "Where do you think Eighth years sleep?" Ginny asked. Ron shrugged, glancing at Hogwart's marvelous architecture. "Its incredible, isn't it?" Luna sighed, also observing Hogwarts. We were silent for a few moments, staring at the architecture.

"They fixed the castle surprisingly fast, didn't they?" Ginny noticed. "Magic, of course," Hermione explained. "It-"

"Please don't explain," Ron interrupted, pleading. Hermione rolled her eyes. "Alright, fine,"

"Adams, Vance!" McGonagall called. A scrawny, skinny boy stepped out of the crowd, stumbling towards the front. He reminded me of Neville when he was first at Hogwarts. I glanced at Neville, who had stood up to Voldemort, killed Nagini, the last horcrux of Voldemort, and so much more. I was shook out of my thoughts as a cheer erupted from the Hufflepuff table. Vance smiled and made his way to the Hufflepuff table.

The rest of the first years were called to come up and take a seat with the Sorting Hat. Occasionally we would cheer as the Sorting hat called our house, welcoming the wizard or witch. As the last first year was sorted, McGonagall rolled up her scroll of names and took the Sorting hat back to Dumbledore's office.

Everyone chattered excitedly, glancing in our direction every once in a while. A loud, sharp noise cut through the conversations, and everyone went silent. Dumbledore stood up, clearing his throat. "Welcome back to Hogwarts," He cried. "I am very happy to see that everyone is alive and well," He observed.

"As you might have noticed, we have some previous students joining us this year, who have decided to come back and finish their school years, due to the war with Voldemort." Dumbledore explained. A few people winced at the mention of Voldemort, but most people seemed fine with the name.

"But, that does not mean the rules have been repealed. Everyone must abide by the rules. No one is allowed to go into the Forbidden forest without a Professor beside them. And no student is allowed to be out of bed at night," Dumbledore reminded them.

"There is just one last thing! Previously, Voldemort was, of course, defeated, once again, by Harry Potter!" Dumbledore explained. Everyone applauded and cheered, staring at Harry, who sat next to Ginny. "However!" Dumbledore cried, allowing everyone to settle down.

"We have recently discovered that he has two grandchildren, Perseus Jackson and Selena Anderson."

Thanks for reading my story, love you all so much! I hope you enjoyed this longer chapter, and I'll try to update as soon as possible. x3
