"Umm, you see. The thing is", he was really struggling to talk, he was breathing quite heavily, I already know the answer to that but it looks like he can't leave his trust in my hands.

"There's no secrets between us Zen! If you have one you better spit it out NOW!" I waited for a response but he turned his head away from me"if that's the case then forget that I ever met you! I know it's something and it's not very good. A prince, lying to his people all this time. I knew I couldn't trust you, I can't trust anyone these days. Not even my own parents."

"Akashi, I'm sorry. I kept this secret from you ever since we met. But still, I can't tell you the truth!"

"Then forget that we even met!" I turned around then walked towards the exit.

"Wait!"

"What is it this time?" I turned around seeing him fall on his knees.

"Akashi, you're the only person in the world who truly understands me. So I .... I ....."

"Just SPIT IT OUT!"

"I LOVE YOU!"

"Huh!" I gasped widening my eyes by what he just told me. No one has ever said that, not even my own parents. People don't even smile at me when I look at them, so who in the world would love a hideous person who does nothing but study hard and stare into space?

"I'm not joking, I've felt that way ever since you saved me from falling down that tree. The truth is... The truth is..." I held my hand up in front of his face.

"Arigato", I blushed.

"I'm sorry", I heard him whisper.

"Goodbye ........ Zen."

I walked home thinking about what I said. I could have earned a friend who doesn't care about what I think. But instead I just lost one. The rain started storming down as hard as rocks but I just kept walking slowly.

"Akashi! What are you doing in the rain?!"

"I'm ok Mum. Nothing for you to do here." I picked up a towel and dried my hair with it.

"Why are you so late?" She asked bringing me a blow dryer.

"None of your business!"

"Ok", she walked to her room slowly as her frown turned into small tears.

"I don't give a crap of what my Mum thinks about me. She made my life miserable. I WISH I DON'T EXIST!" I shut my door as hard as I could.

"I feel woozy", I placed my hand on my head."Must be because that stupid jar fell on me!" I changed into my nightgown then went to bed trying to leave my headache.

The Next Day

"I feel way better", I scratched my head, yawning.

After I finished getting ready for school I walked to my window to fill the bird house with birdseed.

"Ohayo, how's your morning today?" I asked pouring my cup of Birdseed into the house attached to the tree.

I slipped my hand and dropped the cup on the roof.

"Don't worry, I'll get it!" I climbed down the tree branch slowly and picked up the cup.

"Got it!" But the tree branch broke ................

"Wait! I'm not dead! Where am I?" I glanced around me seeing the sky and clouds.

"I must be dead. This is impossible for me to fly into the sky. Wait! I HAVE WINGS!" I turned my head around seeing black feathers keeping me above the clouds."ok, calm down. This has got to be a dream! Then if it's a dream then I can definitely do what I want right? Ok, here goes!"

I started flapping my wings high into the sky. Then dived down out of the clouds.

"I can see my house from here! And the tree branch that killed me. Wait, the tree branch that killed me? But I'm here! It's not a DREAM! Holy gravies! I'm flying! Whooooo hoooo!" I laughed as I flew around the neighbourhood. This is so exciting!

"Here's your bird seeds!" I refilled the box as I picked up my bag and flew to school.

I still don't know if it's a good idea to show people my wings at school. I flew into a dark alley to try and figure out how to hide them.

"It's no use!" I cried.

"Akashi? What are you doing there?" Zen walked in the alley.

"Back away Zen!" I tried to hide my wings.

"Look I'm sorry for what I did. So please, forgive me!" He apologised.

"Well well, look what we've got here. Prince Zen and a wittle girl!" A gang came in holding weapons.

"How dare you call me little!?" I yelled as my wings popped up.

"A-aakashi! You have wings!"

"Oh crap! Too late to hide it now!" I flew above Zen and reached out to Zen's hands."Grab on Zen!"

I flew towards the tree where I met Zen and let him down on one of the branches.

"Akashi, how did you get them?"

"I think I know why", I stared at the top branch of the tree as I took off to that branch.

"It's GONE!" The hole was gone. I was sure I went through a tunnel in the tree last time. It was the elixir in the bottle that hit me, it gave me strange wings.

"What's gone?" Zen climbed up asking me.

"There was definitely a hole here. It led me to a whole room of potions and everything! There was!"

"I don't think you're feeling very well. I'll take you home", he grabbed my hand gently as I shook it off.

"There was! Why don't you believe me?" I flew home leaving him stranded.
