Chapter 2
The Plaza is the only place that isn't always woods and doesn't make you feel like your walking in a maze all of the time so I'm alright with letting Rose stay there for an hour.
I am in our special spot and Perry isn't here yet so I try to admire the view for a moment. The view is absolutely stunning and I start to wonder why I haven't even glanced at it for a second while I've been up here with Perry for all of these years. In the far distance I can see the clock tower with a beautiful blue sky and in front of it are the beautiful autumn trees colored red, orange, and yellow. Then I stare at the view for a little more and I start to notice something strange. I notice that the trees are red but soon turn into red with fire. And the yellow and orange trees are turning into yellow and orange flames catching on to the red fire. The clock tower is crashing down into pieces and all I can hear are the screams of innocent adults and children. The sky is changed from blue to about as gray as the clothes the gentlemen have to wear in our world Silva. But loudest of all of the screams is the sound of Rose's searing laughter that I know isn't actually laughter. Rose sounds like shes laughing when she is scared and crying which lets me know that it is definitely Rose who is screaming in pain or sacredness. I look down at my feet dangling from the tree branch, shake my head, and then look up again. I see the view I first saw, the beautiful autumn trees with a clock tower and blue sky's in the background. I start to pant at a very rapid pace and feel as hot as a boiling pot of water burning on a stove. And Perry asks me, "whats wrong?" He comes out of no where in front of me which makes me jump and I start to pant even more.
"Did I startle you?" He asks confused. I think he's confused because I usually laugh or smile after every time I see him, even if he did make me jump, but this time there is a tear dripping down my cheek. "I'm sorry I thought you knew I was here," he says as he puts his hand on my hand. I feel much better and actually a little tingle of joy spreads through my body because I have always thought of him as more than a friend and maybe even a person I would like to spend the rest of my life with.
"No it wasn't you. It is just that..." And then I decide to tell him what happened because he is the only person I have that is mature enough to be trusted-not that I don't trust Rose but Perry is older and this is different.
"Oh my goodness all you alright?" He asked in a soothing voice.
"I think so, it just made me really confused. This has never happened to me before. Has this ever happened to you?" I ask hoping I'm not the only one with such an odd vision.
"Sorry but this has never happened to me before." He says. Then a few seconds later he gasps with a face that proves he has an explanation and says,"this has to be one of your talents."
"Perry it was probably just a little vision. I could see why because I had a few less hours of sleep last night and I haven't eaten since yesterdays dinner at your house. And even if this was one of my talents how would the Principles see what I see by looking at only my actions for this afternoon when they view me today. They are powerful but they don't have the power to see what I see." I say this trying to get as many excuses as possible so that I get away with this not being a big deal.
"Ok but if you need any more help just let me know alright?" He says.
"Alright," I say. He lets go of my hand and climbs down the tree. I wait until he is out of sight to climb down the tree and head back to The Plaza.
