Joshua's P. O. V

     Today is Avery's birthday and I want to make it a memorable one for her. She will be 19years old.

    I intended to take her shopping to pick whatever she wants, she can finally get the novel she has been bugging me for and maybe play that 3d game without interruption.

    "How long is it going to take you?", I asked her as I sat on her bed.

   " Will you chill already? Do you want me to look like a monkey,it's my  day okay? So let me take all the time in the world ",Avery said from her closet.

   " Where is Mil and Angel by the way?",I asked her.

    "Mil went to visit Charles and Angel travelled but she will be back soon", Avery said.

     I stood up and walked round the room, I was looking at the picture of Avery and Mil when they were little, they looked adorable.

    " You and Mil resemble an ugly dolphin",I joked.

    "I always knew you never had eyes so I don't blame you", she said and I smiled.

    " Ugly children "I laughed and she hissed.

    " I am done, let's go",I heard her say from behind me.

      I turned and saw how beautiful she look. She wore a crazy jeans with a crop top and a GUCCI shoe, she applied a light makeup and fell her hair. In total she looks amazingly gorgeous. I just stood and stared,my jaws dropped.

    "Let me go and change, you don't like my cloth", she said as she headed towards her closet. I ran to her and drew her back.

   " You look ravishing. You look beautiful ",I said.

    " Thanks. Can we go now?",she asked.

   "Yeah sure", I said

   " I don't want that",Avery said.

   "What do you want then? I am not giving you that,its too sugry and I don't want you to have diabetes ", I insisted.

     " Its my birthday and I get to choose what kind of ice cream I want",she said.

    "But I am the one buying it for you so no.", I said.

    " Fine,I will buy it with my money",she left to buy it.

    Avery's P. O. V

    When I came back from buying the ice cream Josh refused to give me, I saw him kissing a girl, I didn't know when I dropped my sweet ice cream and the one I bought for him. They pulled away and when Josh saw what I saw he kept calling my name but I didn't listen,I ran as fast I could,away from him, away from that girl.

    "Evie listen up please", he said when he finally cut up with me.

   " Leave me alone ",I said trying to break free.

    " Let me explain first",he said.

   "What do you want to explain? I caught you okay, you were kissing her", I sobbed.

   " She kissed me"

   "You should have pushed her away from you but you didn't you enjoyed it and your stuff rose. You were enjoying it okay, so cut that bullshit out and let me go", I said trying not to break down in front of him.

    " I am sorry"

   "Is that your excuse?"

   "No,its just that it's been long I actually had sex that's why it rose but I swear to you,she means nothing to me, believe me"

   "That's what every guy say when they are caught cheating",

    " But we are not dating so why are you talking like this(he realised what he said and begged) I am so sorry, its not what I meant".

   "You are right, we are not dating so I shouldn't feel hurt,I don't have the right to feel jealous. You were never mine and I doubt if you will ever be mine. I am sorry I got jealous, I am sorry I felt hurt, I am sorry for acting possessive, I thought we were actually something but I guess we are not. I am sorry", I said as I pushed him and ran away.
Did we just break up?

   When I finally arrived at my lodge, I opened the door and saw my friends.

    " Surprise!!! ",I heard them say.

Awwwwwn, this is amazing.

  " Thanks a lot",I faked a smile

But now is not the right time, you guys should leave I want to cry

    "I thought you guys forgot my birthday", I said.

   " How can we?",Mil said.

    "Thanks, it means a lot to me but I-"

    "We have a surprise you. Guess what it is", Mil asked.

     " A rewind button that makes you go back in time ",I said and they all laughed,I am so serious.

    " No, even better",Charles said as he stepped aside and I saw Joel and Angel.

   "Happy birthday, sweetheart", Joel said as he walked towards me with Angel by his side.

   " Happy birthday, sis",Angel hugged me when they finally stood in front of me.

   "This actually amazing, best surprise so far", I said as I left go of her and kissed Joel.

     The door opened and Joshua walked in, as he saw I and Joel kissing his expression changed. He felt hurt....now he knows how I felt earlier.

    " When did you come back?",Josh asked.

   "Yesterday. I needed to surprise her and to get her the best birthday gift ever"Joel looked at me and smiled.

   " This is the best birthday gift. Thanks hun",I said trying not to look at Josh.

   "Who said this is your birthday gift? ",he smiled and that confused me.

    " Is there anything that can beat this?",I asked.

     "Oh yeah", he took my hands and drew me outside. When we finally got outside, I looked around and saw nothing.

   " Are you ready?",he asked and I said "yes". I prayed it wasn't a marriage proposal.

     " Take this",he gave me a key.

    "What's the key for?", I asked.

   " For this",he pointed to a car.

  "If you are pulling my legs I will kill you,I swear", I said.

    " You know I can't do such, even if I am dying to do that someday, it won't be on a special occasion like this", he smiled.

   "Go and check your new car out", he pushed me towards the car.

    He bought me a 2018 Lexus LC, the car is crazy and it came in black, my favourite colour. God bless Joel. I went it side the car and it smelt like a new car. I love you, Joel.

     I came out of the car and hugged him so tight that I didn't care if his bones break.

    "Who told you,I needed a new car",I asked.

    "Mil has a car and Angel's dad is planning on buying her one so I thought it would be best if I bought this for you. I don't want you to trekking all the time", he said.

  "Awwwwwn, that's so thoughtful of you. So that's why you travelled ",I asked.

   " One of the reasons ",he smirked.

    " Huh?",I asked.

    "Mum wanted to arrange a dinner date with your family. She asked when you and your dad will be free, I told her I don't know, so she asked for your dad's number which I gave to her so we fixed a date. It was actually mums idea to get you a car.", he said.

   " Send my regards to mum. Wait, wait...... What was the date they fixed?",I asked.

   "A day before we travel for Charles mum wake keep or anniversary.", he said as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

     " Hmmmm, that's close",I said.

    "She's will still give you her birthday gift, this is my own gift to my girlfriend", he smiled as he kissed me. I placed my hand on his neck and enjoyed the feeling.

   " Sorry to interrupt but can I have a word with Avery please",Josh interrupted.

   I and Joel pulled away from each other and Joel said,"Sure(turning to me he said) don't take too long okay, baby?"

   "Yea sure", I said and he pecked me on the lips and left. After he left I looked at Joshua with that killer eyes and he looked at me like he was angry, why is he angry?.
