Ha! A word that is supposed to spread hope
Alas! It constricted her life inside the four walls.
The ways of society is such an irony
It tells something, but ends up as something else.

Individuality, Right to Freedom and what more?
But no wonder the rules are set for the pronoun 'He'.

Baby is born,and the choice begins,
Between blue and pink,
Between jeans and frock.
Agreed it is too small to decide
Agreed it needs help.

Irony comes when more decisions are made much after she is an adult.
Decisions which she should be making
Decisions which she is supposed not to make.

Later,she is given a chance to decide
Be aware,there is a mastertrap hidden

The choices are already set,
It is all about you choosing the same.
Society expects,you follow
If wronged,oh!Hell is about to follow.

So many dreams lay under it.
Unfulfilled, incomplete.
So many cries suppressed under it
