Liam woke up at ten, which was surprising given the early time he had gone to bed. He got out of bed a few minutes later and used the bathroom he also took a shower. Once he was done, he came out wrapped in his towel. He walked across the hall to his room. He opened his drawers and got out of his clothes. He pulled them on and looked in the mirror. He saw a skinny, tall, tan boy with bright green eyes and black hair. Wearing black jeans, a shirt that said 'I speak fluent sarcasm', and a blue hoodie. Will Mia even like my outfit? He thought. He shook his head quickly, of course, Mia will, you idiot!

He walked to the kitchen. "Good morning Liam."

"Morning mom."

"How did you sleep?"

"Okay, you?"

"Okay."

They sat at the table and had brunch. Afterward, Liam helped clean the kitchen, then went back to his room, planning to read until it was time for him to go to Mia's place.

After an hour of reading, Liam's phone rang. He answered it. "Hello?"

"Hey L!"

"Oh, hey Lilac."

"Watcha doing?"

"Talking to you, breathing-"

"I meant what were you doing before I called?"

"Reading."

"What?"

"A book."

"Ha. Ha. So funny. I meant what book were you reading?"

"It's kind of a funny story."

"What's kind of a funny story?"

"No, that's the title, the book is called, It's kind of a funny story."

"Well that's kind of trippy, isn't it?"

"I guess so."

"Anyway, how are you doing? Are you excited?"

"Yeah, I am."

"Are you nervous?"

"Honestly? Not really. I'm definitely not as nervous as I thought I was going to be."

"Well, that's good."

"Yeah."

"Well, I'll let you get back to your reading, but you HAVE to call me when the date is over, okay? As your best friend, I need the details."

"Okay, bye L."

"Bye."

They hung up, and Liam went back to reading.
