"Who's Peridot?"

I feel my heart raising as my newly awakened body struggle to receive oxygen. I couldn't hear anything, but I can see the concerned face of my friend.

She was saying something, but I couldn't make out what.

"Lapis!" She yelled as she began to shake me.

"H-huh? What?"

"Who the heck is Peridot? You kept yelling their name in your sleep. You're starting to make me worry, man." She said.

I stayed silent, trying to get back to my senses.

"I never heard you mention them before, but the way you called for them makes me think as if they were important to you. Are you hiding something from me?"

She knows too much.

I quickly grabbed her shoulders and tried to erase her memory.

"H-hey!" She shoved me away. "I don't want to kiss you, bro. What's wrong with you?"

"W-wha? I'm not trying to kiss you!"

"Then what the heck was that?"

"Ugh. Just trust me." I said as I tried to approach her again.

"Nah uh. Not until you tell me what's in your head." She said as she began to run away.

Ugh. I don't have time for this.

I enhanced my abilities and chased after her, pinning her down on the ground.

"W-wha?!" She muttered before receiving a slap from me, making her pass out.

What?! I didn't mean to knock her out!

Oh well.

I proceeded to remove her memories about what happened earlier and everything after that.

Ugh. Done.

I carried her unconscious body to the spot where she slept earlier and sat next to her, waiting for her to wake up.

I looked around and noticed that the sun was about to set.

The surroundings were beautiful. The forest felt really calm and peaceful. The skies were somewhat red and orange, it was outstanding.

I continued to stare in awe at the surroundings, it reminded me of something, but I couldn't make out what.

Then it hit me.

Peridot..

Are you out there?

Where did you go?

Why did you leave me?

Why didn't you say good bye at least?

Where have you been all these years?

..Are you real?

I snapped back into reality as I felt my friend move.

"Ugh.. my face hurts.. what happened?" She groaned.

I laughed. "You fell asleep, dumbass."

"What? What time is it?" She said, drowsily.

"The sun just set a few seconds ago."

"What?! I still need to meet my older sis!" She said as she hopped on her feet and began to run.

"H-hey, wait for me!" I managed to say as I stood up and ran after her.

A couple of minutes later..

We finally arrived at Amethyst's place. She was out of breath.

"Sis! I'm here!" She managed to say as she pounded at the door.

She plopped at the door step.

I laughed at her and she gave me a suspicious look.

"How come you're unfazed? We ran for half a mile you  know." She grumpily said.

"Well, you're talking to someone who's physically fit." I snickered.

"Why you little-" She got cut off as she got slapped by the door.

"Ow!" She yelped.

"There you are!"

Her older sister was tall and muscular, total polar opposites with Amethyst. She then proceeded to pull at Amethyst's ear and dragged her inside.

She looked back to give me a smile. "Thanks. You should get going as well."

I smiled back and nodded. "Bye Amethyst!"

I started walking back to my house, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the streets.

I wonder what's for dinner?
