We somewhat tried to push the car, but what can I say. I'm a girl, and James is a younger boy. We really don't have much muscle.
I made a deal with James that if we get the chance we should deffinently try to gain some muscle in the near future. We sat on the hood now waiting for the other two boys to come back. The dog was back, and was staring at us from the ground. It was a little weird.
It's been a couple of hours now, and the sun was beating down on us. I pulled out a pair of sunglasses, and handed James it, then I pulled a pair out for me. I looked across the horizon. I spotted something coming toward us, but the thing(s) were going to fast for people walking. Way to fast. It was a car. I had to think fast. I put the dog in the car with James, and had James push the dog down so the people driving won't see him. I opened the hood of the car, and poured two water bottles on the hot engine, so it would steam, and look like smoke. I then got into the car, and handed James the dog's muzzle so the dog wouldn't bark.
I opened the glove box and pulled out my Colt hand gun. I peeked out of the window. The other car was almost upon us.
They slowed down when they drove by, but they didn't stop. I let out a breathe, and slowly sat up. The car was turning around. I sat down real quick. Too bad I didn't have my makeup kit from drama class. We could put fake blood on us so it looked like we were dead.
This time when the car went by it stopped. I could hear the door open, but not shut. I checked the gun to make sure the bullets are in it. They were. I could hear the person walking toward us.
“He is anyone in there. I don't want to hurt you." Came a males voice. All I could think about is, where are all the girls? I took a second to think. “I saw you sit up in my review mirror, so I know you're in there." I take a real quick breath, and I sit up with the gun pointed at where I thought he was. I was right. He put his hands up as quick as he could. “I just want to make sure you were okay." The boy standing in front of me was maybe fifteen or so. A little younger than me, but older than James.
“James you can get up, and take the muzzle off of the dog, please." I asked. Then to the boy I said, “Is there anyone else with you?"
“No just me. I'm kinda a...lone ranger."
“You look fifteen, you're no lone ranger."
“Well when city bombed, my family was killed. We just immigrated here from Russia. I passed through town, but I did not see no one, well not until you." That's when I realised he had a thick ascent like Afanasi, and wasn't very good at speaking English.. Why are there so many orphaned Russian boys in our town? It's so little, nothing ever happens there. It's weird.
“So what's you're name" Asked James.
“Pasha Pudovkin the 3ed." He said it in such pride.
“Pasha is a name?" Asked James.
“Yes, that's my name."
“One second, Pasha." Then I turned to James and whispered, “Remember he's knew in America, he probably doesn't know a lot of English." Then I get out of the car still holding the gun. “See this gun? I know how to use it."
“No, no there no need. I--or is it me? no it is deffinently I--will not hurt you." I feel bad for this boy. His family is dead, he can't speak English very well, and as I look into his car, I can see that his gas light is on.
“I see that you see my car, yes? Uh...Do you know what beep is?" He asked. I took a second and listened.
“I think it's you're car telling you it's out of gas."
“American cars can speak!" He got really excited for a second.
“No, no it just makes those beeping notices when something is wrong."
“Is me car going to blow?" It took me a second to understand what he said.
“Blow up? No, it needs gas."
“I can ride with you!"
“Uh, sure, but we're waiting for some people to come back."
“There is others! I can not wait!" I offered for him to sit in the car, but I don't think he heard me, he was so excited over the fact that there was more than just the two of us. When he saw the dog though you couldn't believe his face.
“You tame wolf here in America?!" His face was complete horror.
“It's a dog, Pasha."
“Dog? I think I ate dog one time long ago." It was James' turn for his face to look horrified.
“You ate dog!" I looked over at the dog, he looked completely horrified also like he could understand Pasha.
“Yes, yes, very distasteful." I got bored of the conversation then and turned my attention to the horizon. I see two people coming our way, but they're not walking, nor running.
“Hey James look" I point out to the people coming toward us. “Is that Aaron and Afanasi?" Before he could answer though they were in seeing distance. It was, and they were on bikes. It seemed like they were racing each other. I got back out of the car.
“These are the people we are waiting for Pasha, so don't worry ok?"
“Okay." Soon enough they came to a halt in front of the car.
“I won!"
“No you didn't, I did!"
“You tied so stop acting like babies we have a guest." I yelled.
“A guest?" They said in unison.
“I'm Pasha Pudovkin the 3ed." I looked over at Pasha, and he was staring at Afanasi . “I'm sorry sir." Then Pasha knelt down to the ground.
“What are you talking about? Sir?" Asked Afanasi .
“Aren't you the Prince of..."
“No I'm not a prince, I wouldn't be here if I was one."
“Oh sorry for mess up." Aaron looked at me, and I shrugged.
“Well let's get this gas in the car, and get going then." I asked
“Can me come with?" Asked Pasha.
"Yes" "No" Aaron and I said at the same time. “Yes you can Pasha." Then we emptied the gas cans, and piled into the car. James, and Pasha is in the front seat with me, while Aaron, Afanasi, and the dog is in the back seat. Then I drove again, right past the gas station, and into town. I drove down the secluded street James and his brother use to live on, and pulled into their drive way.
