Surprisingly enough, someone found me.
"Everyone's been looking for you. It's been an hour."
"I don't care."
"I know you don't care, OTHERWISE I WOULDN'T HAVE TO LOOK FOR YOU FOR A HOUR!"
"Shut up, Vapor."
"A HOUR!"

He had black hair from his father but blue eyes.  He had pale skin, although not as pale as most dark mages.
He has the personality of his mom, however

"TRY TELLING YOUR SISTER WHY YOU SUDDENLY HAVE TO LEAVE WHILE TALKING WITH HER! SHE'S CLINGY!"
"She's seven."
"By the gods."
"Everything's been so crazy lately and I got all these thoughts in my head. Then my stupid mark."
"Your hair's different."
"I know."
He glances at my hand.
"Wanna tell me about it?"

We were friends. Even if we did have arguments.
We trusted each other.

"Nothing I haven't already told you."
"Your mom?"
"Yeah..."
"She's trying her best."
"Well maybe she wouldn't have to try to hard if she stayed alive."
"She is alive. Be grateful for that."
"Why? She decided to die. She didn't tell us. She barely brought up Lucifer. Then out of the blue, she doesn't come back home. My dad is crying in his room. Everyone is crying. She doesn't give us as much as a note."
"Your parents never brought up Lucifer much?"
"Never. Just that he was a terrible man that killed."
"My parents told me a lot. He... did things I'm too afraid to say."
"Like what?"
"He burned down Uncle Dani's village."

My eyes widen.

"W-what...?"
"He burned down most of the kingdom. People died."
"I-I..."
"He killed your grandparents."

I knew that part. He took a lot of things from my life.

"I know..."
"Don't be so harsh on her."
"I just wanted her to stick around."
"I know, but she did this for Etheria. For you guys. For us. For everyone."

I hug him. He was like his father in some ways too.

"Come on. Let's go back."
"Sure."

I smile at him and we walk back.
