The River

3rd POV
Adrik continued walking until the sun was directly over everyone.
Adrik: alright....take ten minutes to hydrate and rest.
All of the mercenaries sat down and pulled out their canteens.
Man: Adrik...I'm going to take a piss.
Adrik: be quick Marco.
Marco walked away from the group and went behind a tree. He unzipped his pants and began going. From behind him he heard the sound of a twig crack, making him sweat and look around.
Meanwhile
Adrik opened up a pill bottle and swallowed one. Dew tried to close her eyes and concentrate. She held her breath as nothing happened.
Alicia: Dew is everything alright?!
Dew breathed out and in heavily.
Dew: my semblance....it's not working.
Adrik: you come within 25 miles of this island and your aura and semblance is useless, the only thing that keeps you alive is wit.
Dew: that's...that's why I couldn't do anything to stop.....
Adrik: even if you had it you would still die.
Marco zipped up his pants and turned around, only for an arm to reach down and grab him by the face.
Marco: Adrik!
Marco was then pulled into the trees as if he weighed like nothing. The sound of a snap was heard before the sound of the jungle overtook it all.
Adrik: let us move.
Man: what about Marco?
Adrik: he can handle himself.
Adrik took one step forward for a body to drop in front of him.
Adrik: Marco?!
The man laid lifeless on the ground. Adrik looked up to see nothing above, only a few leaves falling.
Dew: what is that thing?!
Adrik: take off his shirt and pants.
Man: sir?
Adrik: the college girl....I'm tired of seeing her so.....revealed.
The man walked over to Marco's body and I clipped the bullet proof best and took off his bush green shirt and camo pants.
Adrik: Maxim....throw it.
Maxim tossed it over to Dew.
Maxim: put it on. Behind tree.
Dew quickly got up and walked behind the tree.
Adrik: I wouldn't run girly....after all....the Chelovek-obez'yana will more than likely kill you. You don't have a semblance or an aura to keep you alive.
Dew reluctantly threw on the shirt and the pants. They were definitely loose on her, but it beats walking through the jungle in nothing but a green bikini. She walked back around the tree to see everyone ready to move.
Adrik: 10 more miles and we should be at the river.
Timeskip 10 miles.
The mercenaries placed down their bags and began to take out small devices to make tents and cages.
David: we....have to get out of here.
Alicia: your fingers are broken...there's no other way, you can fight, neither can Dew without her semblance, aura, or weapon.
Dew: what do you think they're going to do?
Alicia: my only guess is Hunt.
Adrik set down some bear traps and covered them with brush. He also placed a cage against a tree, using the natural cover along with fallen leaves and other forest jungle items to camouflage the cage more. The cage was built to hold an ursa.
Dew: whatever this creature is....these people mean business.
Adrik: I'm glad you think so.
Dew's eyes widened.
Dew: how did you hear me?
Adrik: I've been trained by many people....now I'm a generous man. What would you like as your last meal? We have stew, Jaguar or MRE's.
Dew: you're going to kill us?!
Adrik: you're a silly girl, I don't plan to kill you...but it...I don't know what it has planned for you. I'm a gentleman, the youngest goes first.
David then stood up even with his broken fingers.
David: you will not lay one hand on my dau-
David was then decked in the face with the butt of the gun, sending him to the ground with a broken nose.
Alicia: David!
Dew: fine! I'll do it....I'll see if I can help with this thing.
Adrik: so willing, I like that, shows that you're strong. Unlike everyone else I deal with, you have these.....people come up to you and they think you owe them the word. I can't stand that. But you....I may almost feel bad for it.
