Chapter Two

Niu awoke in a foreign area; when she stood, she looked around; this did not appear to be her planet or time. She gazed around the room, believing she had seen a scene, or something like in one of those historical dramas, but she knew it could not be. she looks at her clothes, she felt conformed.

It wasn't long when she noticed young ladies enter the room, this was her chance to see where she was or at least ask if they had anything to eat at least.

'Excuse me,'

The ladies didn't say a word as they stood in lines as if waiting,

'They are not permitted to talk unless spoken to, by one of us.'

She turned to see a young man stroll in with his hands behind his back.

"Who are you? "Niu inquired, unconcerned about how impolite she sounded.

he laughed to himself. Before addressing her,

'I should have asked you the same thing, in fact you should be thanking me, I spared you from being murdered my father would have shown no mercy, as he would have told the guards to cut off your head, for breaking into the mansion.'

She was at a loss of words, "Um, when you say decapitated, are you talking about the head separating from the body?"

He gave her a strange look. "What else will I be talking about when it comes to beheading?" Out of curiosity, he lifted his brow.

She fell back coving her face with the sheets, she must have told herself a dozen times that it was a dream soon she would wake up and she would be back in Mr. Wong's shop. Taking a deep breath, she removed the sheets coving face to face with a smiling person closing her eyes she knew it was real.

The young man hopped from the bed.

'Don't take it personally, I was only kidding with you lil sister,' he replies, waving the women away that stood still like status, Niu had forgotten they were even in the room.

he observes her 'I thought it was really amusing, don't you think?' He goes to the fruit dish and takes an apple.

'You know I was found you," she watched him toss an apple into the air.

'By the river?' she inquired. He nods 'I was on one of my many walks that day when I came across you; at first you were dead, but after checking and seeing you had a pulse, I brought you back here, had the doctors examine you, and here you are,' he says.

Feeling nerves, she reached for the neckless but found it gone, hopping up she begins her search. He stood quiet and watch her as she made a mess.

'Are you on the looking for this?' He inquired, suspending the stone from the rope as he held it up. Niu turns around and reaches for it, but he snatches it away.

'I was wondering, how you got Second Brothers stone?' his gaze fixed on the stone then back to her.

'That's my stone,' she said as she lowered her arms and looked at him strangely. I got it back. -'she paused

'Where did you locate it?' he asked.

Just before one of the Guards walked in.

'Youngest master, the king and Queen would like to see you.' he gave Niu one last look before heading out. 'Wait!' she calls out he stops, 'you never told me your name?' he turns to her with a big silly grin on his face., 'Cheng Yu. I'm the fifth son.' He says proud.

'It's a pleasure to meet you.'

'My name is Lee Niu,

'Nice to meet you, Lee Niu,' he adds before departing.

Not long after Yu had departed, one of the servers strolled in. 'The queen has requested that I show you around the mansion.' Niu smiled as the woman lead the way, maybe she would find a way out this place.
