How they met
Two previously pregnant women sat beside each other on hospital beds with a baby in hand. They never expected to give birth on the same day. It was decided there and then that their sons would be best of friends.
"Such a cutie!" Linely squealed at her friend, Danna's baby. The newborn kept his fingers folded and his big brown eyes wide open as if observing the new world he sudden found himself in. He gurgled and squealed at Linely, grabbing her finger with his tiny velvety hands. "He is an active one! What's his name Danna?"
"Ayo." Danna mumbled to which Linely frowned at.
"Why do you sound unhappy?" She asked.
"I lost a bet with Matthew." Danna sighed, thinking about the horrors her husband would put her through. "Can a boy be named Gwendolyn?"
"Danna!" Linely yelped. She was wondering why the boy was wrapped in pink blankets, so that was it.
"Kidding, kidding. He's my beautiful boy." Danna caressed Ayo's cheek lovingly with her finger, eliciting the baby to gurgle again. "Your boy is also a cutie, what's his name?
"His name is Logan." As if the boy heard and recognized his name, Logan opened his eyes and stared from one woman to the other. Danna took note of his unique eyes and gasped in awe.
"Linely, his eyes are wonderful! He took both your eyes and Dorian's eyes!" Danna squealed in delight.
"Yes he did."
At the same time, the babies started squirming and searching around for something which made the mothers laugh. "Look, they even get hungry at the same time." Danna commented.
"They would be best friends." Linely said.
"Hey ladies." Matthew came inside the room with Dorian behind him.
"I think it is now too late to call them ladies." Dorian spoke flippantly.
"True but old women are called ladies too." Matthew teased, knowing that Danna's temper would be poked. Both men laughed when their wives and children exclaimed at the same time. They allowed the women to breastfeed their babies before taking them home. Today was a happy day.

Ayo, now four years old, stared in horror at the girl using the potty in front of him. Having grown up wearing dresses and skirts (mother's influence), Ayo (innocently) did not know the difference between boys and girls. Now he stood in the bathroom wondering why his pee pee was (horrifically) different from another person's.
Ayo cried for hours thinking something was wrong with him.
When his kindergarten teacher asked what was wrong and he told her, she explained the concept of boys and girls to him (even though that was the first time she knew that Ayo was a boy and not a girl). The next day, Ayo rebelled against his mother when she removed a frilly pink dress from his wardrobe for his play date with Logan.
"NUUU!" Ayo yelled and sprang back.
"No?! What's wrong darling?!"
"He's finally realized that he is not a Barbie doll." Matthew commented dryly from the door which earned him a sharp glare from Danna.
"Come on Ayo, Logan is coming soon so you have to dress up!" Danna tried again but the boy was not having it.
"NUU! ME A BOY!" He yelled and ran out of the room butt naked.
"Yes but you were supposed to be my MODEL!!!" Danna yelled and ran after him with the dress. Matthew decided to put this legendary day in black and white so he grabbed the camera of memories, as Danna dubbed it, and ran after his family.
Meanwhile, the Dawns had arrived and had been let in by the gardener. By the time they stepped into the big lawn, Ayo was running outside through the mahogany front door. Logan took in the sight of his best friend and his smile dropped when he noticed something very wrong about 'her'.
Unlike Ayo, Logan was well versed in the concept of girls and boys so when he saw a wiener dangling between Ayo's legs, he (as much as bedtime horror stories told) imagined that a pee pee thief had cut off another boy's (maybe Ayo's dad) pee pee with a pair of scissors and glued it to Ayo's own. The mental image was devastating and so Logan screamed.
"AAAHH! AYO HAS A PEE PEE!"
"Poor boy, you've scarred them both for life Danna."
"Shut up!"
-
"Mama, why can't I see Lo and aunty Lin and uncle Dory anymore?"
Danna's heart shattered into tiny pieces as she realized that her son could not see his best friend and god parents anymore. The news of Linely and Dorian's deaths affected everyone especially those closest to them. Danna and Matthew had fought for Logan's custody and lost to Martin Rutherford. How he won against all odds was beyond Danna but he did and sent Logan far away to a military boarding school overseas.
And that was how Logan and Ayo broke apart, both forgetting about their childhood days due to traumatic experiences.

Donald had always been an awkward kid. He was awkward in size, awkward in speech, awkward in games, awkward in everything. In short words, he was rather chubby for an eight year old. He loved soccer but couldn't even keep up with the ball without taking a break three times in five minutes.
As a fat kid, bullying is something you (unfortunately) can't evade and it led to loneliness and isolation for Don. Nobody wanted to be friends with the fatty because he was too slow and could eat up all your lunch. He made his first friend at the playground of his elementary school when his bullies surrounded him.
"Stop!" Don yelled as they pushed his massive size to the ground. They laughed at his plight and pointed fingers at him, bringing the sensitive boy close to tears.
"Fatty! I heard you could eat anything. Eat this!" A boy from the group of boys that cornered him extended a hand holding an ice cream bowl. The bowl didn't contain ice cream, however, but a mixture of sand, water and lemonade.
"I can't eat that, stop it!" Don tried to get away but he was cornered.
"Fatsy fatty. You broke our swing with your fat bum so you eat it!" The boy growled and took a spoon of the mixture. He brought it closer and closer to his face despite the other's protest.
"Stop it or I'll get the teacher." A voice from behind them stopped their laughter. The boys turned to see an ebony haired boy with matching coal eyes scowling at them. "You are being really mean! I'll get the teacher and she would tell on you to your mamas." He threatened.
The boys visibly paled at the thought of their mothers and ran away screaming threats of revenge at the ebony and Don.
"Hi there. I am Bryan." The ebony haired boy smiled down at the chubby boy, who wiped a tear from his cheek.
"M-my name is D-Don." He replied.
"Don! Do you want to meet my friends?" Bryan asked.
"What if they don't like me? What if I mess up?" Don asked nervously.
"Don't worry! Even if they don't like you, I would be your bestest friend forever!" Young Bryan declared with a bright smile that could make the sun jealous.
"Bestest friend?" Don repeated. Bryan nodded enthusiastically and helped him up.
"Yup! All my friends are girls and girls like pink, yuck! You will be my nearest friend! Come on Donny!" Bryan chirped. He had lisp because of he broken tooth and the loose one next to it but he was understandable. He dragged his new friend to the sand pit where three girls were playing house. Bryan paled when he remembered the reason he left the sand pit...he was the 'daddy' of a doll.
"Bryan! You meanie, you made Patty (the doll) cry!" A dark haired girl exclaimed. She had beautiful onyx eyes and long black hair. Next to her was a silverette asleep on the sand and beside the sleeping girl was a blondie who had black root hair and sharp caramel eyes.
Bryan blew a raspberry at the doll and pointed at Don. "Look at my friend, his name is Don!" He chirped.
"Hello, my name is Shelia!" Shelia said cheerily.
"H-hi." Don muttered shyly.
"Fatty." The blondie said. Don looked down, immediately feeling self conscious. Tears brimmed his eyes and before he knew it the waterworks exploded.
"Phyllis, you're mean!" Bryan scolded and tried to console his new friend but it was in vain.
"Phyllis, that was bad of you." Shelia scolded and also tried consoling Don.
"He is a big baby. Fatty!" Phyllis snarked and blew a raspberry at him. Yep, certainly not a nice kid.
"Phyllis!" Bryan and Shelia yelled as Don's cries increased tenfold, waking the silverette that was asleep. Sharon yawned and glared at her friends for waking her up. The glare dropped when she saw the crying new comer.
"What's wrong with him?" She asked.
"Sharon, Phyllis was being mean." Bryan complained.
"Phyllis, that's not very nice." Sharon scolded and went over to comfort the new friend. Once Phyllis saw that all her friends had deserted her for another person, tears filled her eyes and she started crying too. Shelia, who hated it when others cried also started crying and dragged a frustrated Sharon along. Bryan stared at his crying friends and tried to stop his own tears in vain.
Needless to say, they bonded after they soaked the sand pit with their tears.
A lot of time had passed since then and a lot of things had changed. They were now thirteen years old and Don wasn't so chubby anymore. His dreams of joining the soccer team came to pass and he had three best friends and a bestest friend. That term was childish but it stuck.

"Did you see him? He has metal teeth!"
"What's with his hair? Is he trying to look cool?"
"Oh my God, the glasses."
"His dressing is so tacky."
"Who wears a tie to school?!"
Jordan tried to make himself invisible but that was unfortunately impossible. He was what you would call the classic nerd. His silver hair had flecks of white, black and brown scattered here and there which made it look like hawk feathers. He was often teased and called a birdbrain because of it. When the bullying in his last school went overboard with him ending up with broken ribs, his parents changed his school to BVA but unfortunately, things were not looking good.
His first few weeks in the school proved his intuitions correct as he had to do homework for at least ten people in class. Jordan avoided everybody, especially the popular ones but nothing ever went his way until that particular day.
"Hey nerd, here's my homework." A burly boy tossed a note to Jordan which hit his head squarely and fell to the ground. As Jordan bent to pick the notebook, a leg kicked the book away and a hand picked it up. When Jordan traced the hand to its owner, it turned out to be one of the popular girls, Goldberg Phyllis.
"Hey jackass." She called and the boy turned back. His eyes widened when he saw one of the prettiest girls in school talking to him. "Eat your notes!" Phyllis snarled and flung the book at the boy. Its hard paperback hit his head harshly, causing Phyllis to smirk.
"Are you crazy?!" The boy snarled, taking an intimidating step towards Phyllis and Jordan. His head hurt but he shook the pain away. "Why are you standing up for metal teeth?!"
"Back off Julian." Another voice interrupted their banter. The boy, Julian, turned around to see Don and Bryan advancing towards him. Once he saw that he was he was outnumbered, Julian ran away.
"What a sissy. Hey nerd, what's your name?" Phyllis asked.
"It's Jordan."
"Josh!"
"It's Jordan."
"So Josh, how about you meet the rest of my friends? I know you know Dumb and Dumber already." Phyllis said gesturing to Bryan and Don.
"It's Jord-"
"Forget it man, she won't listen to you." Bryan swung his arm over Jordan's shoulder.
"Yeah. Oh and..." Don stopped walking and glanced at Phoebe's retreating figure. "What ever you do in life, do not agree to go shopping." Don warned grimly.
Bryan paled considerably and turned Jordan around to face him. "Dude we're speaking from experience, do not ever agree to go shopping."
"W-why?" Jordan stammered.
Needless to say, that was the year Jordan's fashion sense changed.

Logan met Nata when he was fourteen. At first the girl was mad at him because of his father and punched him in the face a repeated number of times but she suddenly warmed up to him during one lunch break.
Logan stayed back in the empty classroom because he had nothing to eat. It surprised Logan when Nata offered her lunch box to him and he was suspicious that it contained poison but she just laughed and ate a bite.
"See? Not poisoned." She said between mouthfuls but Logan was still skeptic.
"Eat, I can't focus in class with your stomach making noises." She pushed the lunch box to me and he ate reluctantly.
"What's your name? I never caught it since we just call you bad news." Nata was blunt.
"L- Logan." He stuttered and she smiled brightly.
" Logan, I like that name! By the way, sorry for punching you the other day. I'm aggressive natured so my actions speak louder than my words and thoughts."
No kidding.
"Why are y-you–" Logan started but she interrupted.
"–talking to you? It's cause you're a good person, aren't you? Or...are you a spy? Did Maru send you here?! I doubt that though. With all the scars and starvation and threat video I'd say you ran away. You're a good person, right?" She babbled.
"Uhm..." He wasn't sure of what to say.
"Let's get you to my guardian, I'm sure he will like you since I do. I think you need a place to stay too, you should stay with us! That would be so much fun..." She babbled on and on as she dragged Lloyd through the halls ignoring the stares she got. Her guardian was the new principal, Mr Kamile and he treated Nata and Logan like his own.
The both of them met Sean a year later when he was on a field trip to Beastgrovia. Sean also gave Logan a beating because of who his father was but he warmed up to him because of Nata.

Ayo hated his new school. He hated the town, he hated the people in this school, he hated the stupid boys that thought they were the 'kings' of the school.
"Fuck off." Ayo stated dryly.
"Look here, it seems like you don't know how this school is run."
"And I do not give a flying fuck about how this shitty ass school is run. Get out of my way before I ram your fucking face up your goon's shitty ass." Ayo had a very colourful language...rainbows of them! Viewers discretion advised!
The boys that surrounded Ayo burst into laughter. One of the boys pushed Ayo back and sneered at him. "So you want to prove that you're tough huh?" Ayo pushed him back and started walking away but he was dragged back and punched in the face. Before the boys could do any further thing, Bryan and the rest interrupted and sent them away.
"Hey new comer, I'm-!" Phyllis trailed off when Ayo walked out on her. "Jerk! Shelia, how do you put up with him as your seatmate?!"
"Hey! We helped you so you should at least say thank you!" Don yelled. Ayo stopped and faced him with bored eyes.
"You look like somebody that was a fat ass. What did you do, get liposuction?" Ayo sneered.
*gasp*
"Thank you? Don't joke me. A birdbrain nerd, bet you had metal teeth," Jordan mouth hung low. "Three sluts," Phyllis, Sharon and Shelia gasped. "An empty headed fucker," Bryan gasped. "And a fat ass." Don frowned. "Tell me why I should say thank you to a bunch of lowlife losers like you dickwads."
Needless to say, they bonded after a huge fight that had Ayo suspended on his first week in a new school.

The girls met April not too long after they met Ayo . It all happened in the locker room when the slim girls ganged up on chubby April. However this chubs had power and did not hesitate to break a few noses and rip some hairs away. When April was getting overwhelmed by numbers, Phyllis, Shelia and Sharon stepped in to help and they bonded.

Scarlet was the boss. That fact was made clear when she singlehandedly sent the whole lot of the 'new comers orientation squad' to the hospital. It made the fact that she was king even clearer when it was revealed that she was a Fredrickson. She was silent, deadly, cold and dangerous.
Had her own table, had her own locker room, had her own cafeteria, or so the rumours said. Rumours or not, she was the king but then a particular blue and green eyed boy came along. He was annoying, persistent and irked her in many ways than one. She did not even know his name for the sake of all things red!
Needless to say, they bonded after she gave him numerous black eyes and the first time she sat with the rest of the gang at the cafeteria was solid awkward.
-
Crystal was always a trouble maker. She was teased a lot because of her pale eyes and was often lonely because people found her eyes strange and a curse instead of a family trait. Because of her loneliness, she caused trouble and played wild pranks (like looting a shopping mall) just to fill the void in her heart.
She never expected herself to have a boyfriend or even friend so it was funny that she met Ayo when he almost rammed her over with his car.
She initially thought that the gang approached her just because she looked like their deceased friend but it was made known to her that she was her own person and that was why she was befriended.
Needless to say, a crazy addition to the gang was celebrated.
Things happened, secrets were revealed, a friend close friend died, a new friend was made and bonds were developed. They started rough (especially in Ayo and Scarlets case), broke apart, came back together, helped each other and grew together. Indeed, a bond with true friends was more than enough.
