Jimin and Taehyung didn't talk again after that. Jungkook had heard about what happened between them because it had spread around school especially the part where Jimin kept calling Jiyeon, Taehyung's girlfriend names. Jungkook tried to find out the details from Taehyung but he told him nothing. Likewise Jimin. He didn't even want to hear the mention of Taehyung's name.

Jungkook was trapped between the two because Taehyung was his very good friend. Jimin was his friend as well and was his link to Yoongi. Without Jimin, it would be hard to have an excuse to hang around Yoongi without arousing Taehyung's suspicions but he had to make a choice so in the end, he chose Taehyung.

Park Jimin sat on the couch drinking a beer when it was suddenly snatched away from him.

Jimin grunted glaring at the one who snatched his drink. Namjoon frowned hard.

"Snap out of it Jimin. This isn't the tough guy I know"

Jimin murmured under his breath.

"What?" Namjoon barked.

"I don't get why he treats me like this. Sure, I'm bad but I never tried to hurt him. I've only always been good to him. I've only ever tried to be nice only for him to be treated like rag"

"Are you talking about that friend of yours Kim Taehyung?"

"Don't mention his name. I don't even want to hear it" he said, gritting his teeth.

Namjoon nodded his head. "Whatever's going on between you both is not my business but you really have to put your head in the game. You hear me? Prove to me why Yoongi chose you to be a part of the brother hood"

At that moment, Yoongi entered into the room wearing a troubled look on his face. That look vanished as he exposed his gummy smile.

"Is everyone here?"

They all responded in the affirmative. They had their meeting which lasted for just an hour. They were planning a hit on a lecturer who was sexually abusing a female student. After planning out the details of their attack, they separated.

As Jimin was about leaving, Yoongi caught up with him.

"How are you doing?" He said smiling nervously.

"Hyung, do you need me for something?"

Yoongi scratched his head nervously. "This is embarrassing...but it's about that little friend of yours"

Jimin grinned. "Kookie?"

Yoongi smiled wryly. "Yeah...he didn't come for the last two parties. Didn't you invite him?"

"He wouldn't come regardless. People like us aren't worthy to be around people like them"

He sounded very bitter
Yoongi was extremely confused.

"What are you talking about?"

"Don't waste your time hyung or you're only going to get yourself hurt in the end"

"Is this about that friend of yours...Kim..."

"Don't mention his name"

Yoongi rolled his eyes. "Okay whatever. I don't know what's going on between you guys but my relationship with Kookie is totally different. He digs me. I just know it. He looks at me the way no one else does and I like that feeling he gives me"

"But he hasn't been picking my calls and I want to see him"

"You want me to take you to him?"

"Exactly... that's what I want"

Jimin shook his head. "Sorry...I can't...if I take you to him, then it means I have to see Taehyung and I don't want that"

Yoongi arched his brows. "But he's in the same department as you"

Jimin clenched his fist. "It's not the same thing"

"Look, you don't have to talk to him. Just take me to his dorm that's all"

Jimin sighed. "Okay...fine"

They left together. Yoongi had a car so they drove to the dorm. Jimin had been really good at avoiding Taehyung. In fact, he had left the dorm after their quarrel and was staying somewhere else for the mean time. They only met during classes but they never spoke to each other. They were worse than strangers.

They finally arrived at the dorm and Jimin led Yoongi to Taehyung's room. He silently prayed that the latter wasn't home because he really wasn't ready to face him. When they arrived at the dorm, they knocked on the door and Jungkook opened.

His eyes lit up in surprise as soon as he saw them.

"What are you doing here?"

"You weren't picking up my calls so I had to come see you"

Jimin had secretly looked around the room and noticed Taehyung wasn't around so he cleared his throat. "I'll be leaving now"

"Oh... okay" Jungkook said. He too had been feeling awkward in Jimin's presence. Yoongi thanked him and entered the room with Jungkook while Jimin turned around and started to walk away when he stopped at the sound of voices in front of him.

Taehyung and Jiyeon were walking side by side, hands intertwined. They were both laughing, looking extremely contented with each other. They suddenly saw him and the three stopped, staring at each other. Jiyeon had a smug look on her face while Taehyung looked red.

Jimin tightened his fist and decided to ignore them. He walked past the two prepared not to give them a single glance. He had already walked past them when Jiyeon spoke.

"What's wrong? Why are you avoiding us?"

Jimin gritted his teeth. "I have nothing to say to you"

Jiyeon laughed loudly. "You should have known not to open your mouth. Did you think you were going to break us up? How funny, your plan failed!"

Jimin suddenly marched towards her, fist clenched tightly and raised high to strike when Taehyung appeared in front of him, pushing Jiyeon behind him.

"Don't! Don't touch her!"

Jimin bit his lips hard staring painfully at Taehyung.

"Move aside..."

"I'm sorry but if you touch her, then I'll have to act!" Taehyung said leveling his gaze at him.

Jimin nodded his head and dropped his hand.

"You're going to regret this Tae!" He whispered and walked away.

Taehyung watched him until he was out of sight. He kept looking towards his direction until he felt an arm around his waist. He gathered his breath. For some reason, he had been feeling stifled with Jiyeon. It was like he couldn't breathe properly around her. Ever since his fight with Jimin, their relationship had been going downhill but the problem was that both of them were pretending. Neither wanted to be the first to break up.

Taehyung pulled away from her frowning hard.

"Why did you confront him? You should have just ignored him"

Jiyeon pouted "I couldn't stand him. Seeing him just got me riled up"

Taehyung sighed. "Whatever, let's just go in..."

They started walking towards Taehyung's room when the door opened and two people came out.  Taehyung's eyes widened when he saw Yoongi. He wanted to say something but held himself back. Jungkook stiffened when he sighted him but when Yoongi grabbed his hand and squeezed it reassuredly, it gave him a bit of courage to face Taehyung. He raised his head as Taehyung glared at their hands.

Yoongi smiled. "Nice seeing you again Taehyung....I'm taking your roomie out. He won't be long okay"

Taehyung just nodded his head and watched as the two walked side by side swinging their joined hands. He looked and noticed the expression on Jungkook's face. It was one full of absolute happiness and he discovered he only looked like that when he was with Yoongi. Despite how bad Yoongi was, only he could make Jungkook that happy.

He thought to himself. Has he ever looked that happy when he was with Jiyeon? He thought being with her would be enough but he only felt empty.

Taehyung and Jiyeon spent the day together. After tutoring her, they made out for some time before she eventually left him feeling more empty than ever. Yoongi was wrong. Jungkook was taking long to return. Taehyung had already started to suspect that their relationship had gone much farther. He didn't want to think too much about it and decided to fall asleep much earlier when he received a strange text message that night

"What's this?" Taehyung said to himself. He was confused. Who sent this? Jimin? Was this the proof needed to get rid of Jiyeon? He didn't know what else to do. After thinking for a while, he made his decision.

He dressed immediately and walked out of the room.
