Ace instantly melted into the kiss. Fuck he needed that. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him, kissing her like a starving man finally being fed.

Her lips were soft and sweet. The taste of the velvet cupcake she just had still lingering on those beautiful lips. He kissed her harder and deeper wanting to consume the very essence of her through this kiss.

He knew he had to maintain his distance. He had planned to but he couldn't deny how much the devil inside him craved her. He had never met someone like her. Someone who could make his inner devil bow. He needed her more than humans needed air to breathe.

They just met but there was an instant spark between them from the first moment. A sizzling hot fire that was spreading rapidly destroying any self control and ethics he might have. He knew from that moment he wanted her. And she was going to be his. There was no escaping anymore.

“You are playing a dangerous game Ace,” Kaida whispered between kisses.

“Then stop me” Ace whispered back
tugging on her bottom lip.

“You are fucking with my head” Kaida muttered yet she kissed him harshly.

He kissed her equally harshly in response. They were both fucking with each other's head yet no one seemed to have the will power to stop.

No one was strong enough to resist the desire coursing through each other's veins.

“I shouldn't want you this much. I shouldn't” Kaida whispered, barely pulling away, her eyes flickering with emotions.

“Why?”Ace whispered. He knew they were not supposed to be together but there was no true taboo against dating your bodyguard. Then why.. Just why was she pushing him away so fiercely?

Kaida looked up into his eyes battling with different emotions. Desire, anger, need, guilt. What was going on in her head?

“I just can't. That's it” Kaida muttered, finally pushing him away and leaving from there.

He sighed. Just when he thought they were making improvements. He walked after her and grabbed her hand. “Alright.. I won't ask questions but at least let's enjoy our time here..”

“I don't need it, let's go back” Kaida replied coldly. Back to square one. Great.

“Come on, Leonessa. I'm not asking for much. I just want you to relax and enjoy yourself"Ace said and it was true. The original plan was to bring her to the Amusement park so she could enjoy herself. Learn to have fun. Though things took an unexpected turn, he still wanted her to experience what it felt like to be free.

“Alright,” Kaida replied after a few seconds.

Ace held her hand tighter and walked towards the different roller-coasters and rides. “Are you scared of such things?”

Kaida scoffed “No of course not”

“Good” He grinned, paying the man in charge.

“You will love this” He added just as they settled in buckling their seat belts for the roller coaster ride. It was the longest one.

“If you say so” Kaida mumbled looking around just as the engine roared to life.

“Let go, Leonessa. Welcome the thrill” Ace whispered, grabbing her hand just as they went down full force.

She sucked in a breath gripping his hand tightly. Right, definitely not scared.

“Relax, let go. I got you” Ace whispered soothingly in her ear and soon enough as the track changed from turns to slopes. Kaida slowly relaxed, her tense demeanour softening and gradually giving way to a more carefree girl.

His eyes widened as a soft laugh escaped her lips when the track took a sharp turn dragging them down another curve. The wind blowing through her silky red hair, her eyes sparkling with freedom, excitement and adrenaline.

He didn't say anything but during the day, Ace slowly remembered what he said when he was drunk. Watching her right now seeming lost in the moment only reinforced his statement. She was a free spirit. A Restless soul. Deep down her inner child had a thirst for adventure, a desire for freedom. And he intended to give it to her.

He held her hand tightly enjoying this moment with his ruthless Assassin. It's been a while since he last enjoyed himself and allowed his guards down. A little bit of fun wouldn't harm him.

As hours went by, they still didn't leave but instead tried all the different rides. From the roller coaster rides to the ferris-wheel, pendulum ride, flying chair. Each ride seemed to bring out another side to Kaida. One who was more soft, carefree, happy. Her eyes were sparkling with contentment and he was addicted. Addicted to keeping that joy in her beautiful charcoal grey eyes.

This woman had just entered his life yet he was already under her spell and there was no returning back from this. Definitely not.
