Kaida pushed him away. “You are impossible”

“Same goes for you. You can't treat me like I'm nothing and expect me to just accept it"Ace said, his voice cold. It was true, he had been putting up with her from the start. It was true, she was just his bodyguard in everyone's eyes but he knew damn well she wanted him. Yet she refused to accept it and instead pushed him away. Ignored him. Well that fucking hurts.

He thought carefully before coming here. This cottage was in the middle of the forest, well hidden and cut off from the world. His father knew about this place and it seemed he didn't tell Kaida about it. Ace was glad that despite his father's protectiveness, he still respected Ace’s choices and need for space.

“Why did you look for me so much, Leonessa?”Ace asked, stepping closer to her.

“You knew I would return eventually. Why make so much efforts to find a man you don't apparently want?”He added taking another step closer to her.

Kaida stepped back. “You are my charge. It's my duty to protect you”

“Cut the bullshit, Leonessa. The true reason” Ace demanded sternly. The more she stepped back, the more he stepped closer till she was caged against the wall.

“Give me a good reason why you are here right now” Ace whispered, staring into her eyes.

Kaida looked up into his eyes, defiantly. “I don't owe you any answers” She retorted using his own words against him.

“Tsk, wrong answer,” Ace said, wrapping his fingers around her throat tightly.

“I'll ask again. Either you tell me or I'm spanking you till the truth comes out. Which one will it be?”Ace asked, raising an eyebrow.

Kaida’s eyes widened. “You wouldn't dare” She whispered.

Ace grinned. That devilish grin that meant no good. He swiftly lifted her up and threw her over his shoulder before she could react.

“Ace, put me the fuck down.” Kaida snapped, gripping his jacket as he headed upstairs.
