Chapter Two
Saturday, June 10th 2017, Yuvia POV
I woke to Olivia shaking me. Ughhh. I love my sister, but jeez, I was not fond of her waking me up this way every summer morning.
"Yuvia, wake up!" I heard Olivia's voice tell me. " It's something important!"
I groaned. Right. She and stupid Lake had probably started dating or something.
"I mean it!" She snapped. This time, I realized that that there was actual urgency in her voice.
I sat up, and rubbed my eyes, "What is it, Via?" I mumbled, slightly annoyed.
"Olive and Lacy!" she said dragging me out of bed.
"They're dating? I thought Ollie was with Thistle or whatever?" I asked, confused.
"They're HURT!" She shouted, finally losing her patience with me, "REALLY hurt! I'm not sure what happened, but as far as I know, Olive could die, now come on!" the usually slow to anger 14 year old yelled at me.
I obeyed, and quickly left the cabin after getting dressed.

"S-she was in the s-strawberry fields..." Lacy began to explain, teary eyed. " I had just gotten here early this morning from m-my school in Brooklyn, and-and a h-hellhound attacked." She stuttered, as a sob built in the back of her throat. " Ol-Olive heard me scream, and c-came to help..." she squeezed her eyes shut and we told her that she didn't have to go on.
Lot's of people drifted in and out of the infirmary, checking in on Olive, who had fallen into a coma, and trying to reassure Lacy that it wasn't her fault. It brought back memories of when a different person went into a coma.
"Rachel went into a death-like sleep last night after reciting a new prophecy." Chiron explained wearily. "We had to cancel everything planned for last night, including cabin 9's lightshow, but I've heard that some of your fellow campers got that covered last night, am I correct?" Chiron asked, shooting a glance at Hermes campers. Some of the Hermes kids gave Chiron weak half-smiles, and while others remained as grim-faced as the rest of the crowd.
Thoughts swirled through my mind, How could something like this ever happen to Rachel? Our energetic, artistic Oracle? The lively girl was now probably pale in a hospital bed in the Big House. It was a terrifying thought.
Finally, a voice from the back asked the question that was beginning to form in my head.
" Could you tell us the Prophecy...?" Izzy Singe, daughter of Hermes, voice asked quietly .
Chiron nodded and began reading from a small scroll.
" The Master of Rain will feel great pain " I almost scoffed. I wonder who THAT could be. I sighed, beginning to think about what that could be referring to. " But from it will get great gain" He continued. Peachy, I thought.
"The Prankster's favorite ship shall sail again" Ship? Prankster? Yeah, that probably had something to do with Liv and her obsession over Jade and Connor's now ended relationship. "If she follows them into the deadly den" oh no....
"The sun shall venture forth" Apollo? "and find the one she loved in the north" She? Maybe a daughter of Apollo? Rebel or Dani maybe?
"The Ghost becomes evil's 'friend' but she shall be their deadly end." Chiron finished. I shuttered. I had no idea what that last line could possibly mean, but it scared me. This little Prophecy included a lot of things that could be directly connected to me and several of my friends.
This will be fun.....
Jade Torch seemed to read my thoughts. "Hey, don't read to much into the words, what you think it might be could be completely wrong, you shouldn't worry yourself. It's never a good idea to try and figure out a prophecy, Yuvia." She told me with a sad smile. She looked exhausted, and her usually almost glow-y bright green eyes seemed sort of dull.
"Why not?" I protested. "This Prophecy could be a big deal! To my observation, it includes a lot of things that could be connected to us!"
"Just don't. It never turns out right. Nico was telling me..." she shook her head "Just don't." Jade repeated herself.
"Fine." I mumbled.

Olive died late last night.
I felt like the ground was being pulled out from beneth my feet. Yeah, there have been a few disappearances in the last few months. I was never very close to the people who disappeared, but now... a good friend was dead. It probably had nothing to do with the whole Rachel siutation or the disappearances, seeing as it was a monster attack, but... yeah.
Nico was in charge of Olive's funeral, and everyone attended. Well, minus Liv Stoll, seeing as she wasn't going to be at camp until next year. I think someone told her, but she wasn't able to make it. She said she had to go with her mom for the summer to help her with some things, and that she intended to go to mortal school this year, or something or the sorts. She really didn't tell us all that much. All I know is that this summer has been a bit boring without the 15 year old daughter of Hermes. But of course, as if the Gods thought, 'Ya know what, camp has been kinda boring lately, we should probably kill off the sorta obnoxious friend!' and now Olive's gone.
I sniffed. Jade gave me a small, sad and tight smile, and her usually glowing bright green eyes were dull looking, and sorta glossy looking, probably due to her tears. She looked almost exactly as she did back on Christmas Eve when Chiron told us about Rachel. And I'm no, I'm not kidding, she's a Hunter of Artemis, she doesn't age, she looks the same way she did 7 months ago.
It was little Harley was the one who lit his half-sister's shrine aflame. The 9 year old's body was shaking with sobs, but he insisted on lighting the shrine. Even those who weren't all that close to Olive, or found Olive to be annoying, seemed deflated.

There's been another disappearance. Harley disappeared early this morning. The Hephaestus cabin is in shambles. First Olive's death, and now Harley's absence, all in less than a week.
Harley was the youngest camper to disappear, Hades, Harley was one of the youngest campers in general. What could this sick kidnapper want from a scarily buff pipsqueak like Harley? The poor boy was already devastated from his half-sister's death, the demented person who's doing this probably did it on purpose, to mess with us even more.
They probably had a spy in camp... maybe the kidnapper was one of our campers, for all we know.
It was horrible of me, but I mentally ran through a list of people who could have been the guilty party.
I accidentally rammed in Nyssa, who's eyes were red-rimmed, probably crying over the loss of her little brother.
I searched for the right words to say to her to attempt to comfort her, but failed. " I-I'm sorry about Harley..." I mumbled.
Nyssa gave me a hard look, she hardly looked like herself today, her red bandana wasn't in sight, and her dark brown hair was hanging limply in front of her face, and her expression was somewhere between depressed and furious. I haven't seen any of the Cabin 9 kids like this since Valdez died. Instead of her black tank-top, she was wearing a camp t-shirt like most of us did. I don't think any of the Hephaestus campers were even working in the forge today. If they did, they would probably end up burning themselves in some horrible way.
Nyssa eventually nodded her head, and walked away.

Maybe just haven't paid close enough attention, but I had never realized just how much these disappearances affected the missing camper's friends and half-siblings.
Instead of running through the lists of potential suspects like I had done before, ran through the list of missing campers. Harley, Cecil, Piper, Damien, Pollux, and Ellis have all disappeared in since January. All of these campers had siblings that were probably affected by their absence. Well besides Pollux, seeing as Castor died during the Battle of the Labyrinth. But everyone had at least two people who deeply cared about their well being, friends or half-siblings or maybe their mortal parent. I had ignored that fact, and just been thankful that it wasn't someone I was close to. Is that horrible of me? Probably. Selfish? Almost definitely .
I sighed, exasperated with myself.
I bitterly wondered who would be next as I made my way to the Athena Cabin. Maybe it would be me. I probably deserved it.
Hey, maybe the kidnapper will stop?
"Doubtful," A voice in the back of my head told me with a scoff.
I hate to admit it, but the voice was correct. Or worse, if this kidnapper stops, it means that they have gotten whatever they needed out of the 6 missing demigods. I hoped none of them were dead, but I think I'm a bit late. The first person to go missing was Cecil, and that was on January 24th, he could be long dead by now. I hoped that Harley would be okay, and that the others were still breathing.
What if...? My mind started racing. What if that Prophecy that Rachel gave had something to do with the kidnappings?!
What if-? I groaned and remembered what I had assured Jade I wouldn't do.
Jade had said not to try and decipher the prophecy. I bit my lip and smiled softly. Since when do I listen to direct orders anyway?
