Emma's POV

I woke up at 6 am and got dressed for work. I didn't have time to get Henry's coffee, so I texted him.

Text conversation

Princess 👸: Hi Hen.

Henry ❤: Hey princess.

Princess 👸: sorry I didn't have time to get you your coffee.

Henry ❤: no problem princess.

Princess 👸: good, cuz, get one Vanilla Latte for me.

Henry ❤: sure Ms. Lawrence.

Princess 👸: do I see a hint of sarcasm Mr. Hart???🤨🤨🤨

Henry ❤: no princess, absolutely not.

Princess 👸: that's what I thought.😏

Henry ❤: but I don't think it would look good if a boss gets coffee for his intern.

Princess 👸: I am not asking my boss Mr. Hart, I am asking my boyfriend Henry 😎

Henry ❤: okay okay....i am sorry. I will get it for you.

Princess 👸: good, now I want it on my desk, by the time I arrive at the office. Okay?

Henry ❤: yes ma'am 👍

Princess 👸: k bye 😙

Henry ❤: see you soon 😚😚😚

"Who are you texting at 6.20 in the morning?" Jenna asked casually leaning on my bedroom door.

"No one" I said plainly.

"Oh, so you were texting "no one" and that brought a smile on your face?" she gave me a questioning look.

I huffed "okay, it's my friend Sam from work. Alright?" I said and walked out of my room before she could bombard me with further questions.

After getting into the cab, I sighed in relief because that was a close one and lucky me, I didn't call Henry and just texted him.

When I reached the office, I went straight to my cubicle and saw my coffee on my desk. I smiled to myself and drank my coffee.

Henry had some important meeting and he was busy the whole day. I finished my work and went home. I saw Jenna sitting on the couch leisurely.

"Hey, Jen?" I said surprised because Jenna is usually still at work this time of the day.

"Hey Em" she said casually.

"I thought you were at work" I said

"Oh yeah, I took permission because we are going out tonight" she said excitedly.

"We?" I asked confused because it's a Friday and normally Jen and Paul go out on a date on Fridays.

"Yes, we" Paul said coming out of Jenna's room dressed in a casual outfit.

"Don't you two go on a date on Fridays?" I asked still not understanding their statement.

"Yes, but we want to take you out with us on a double date" Paul said with a wide smile.

"Double date?" I panicked.

"Yeah, we just thought you should get back out there now that your mom is okay and all." Jen explained.

"uhhhhmmmm.....I...." I was tongue tied because I don't want to tell Jen yet but they are being persistent.

"Use words Em" Paul smirked.

I am going to regret this but I don't have a choice. I took a deep breath and said "fine"

"Yayyy" Jenna shrieked clapping her hands.

"But, I can assure you that I won't like the guy" I said in a firm voice.

"That's okay. We just want you to start dating again." Paul said.

"Come on we need to get dressed" Jenna said pulling me to her room.

She gave me one of her dresses and I reluctantly agreed to wear it. Jen said we are going to Starbucks, the one near our apartment and that is good because I don't want Henry to know anything about this. I will have to tell him later but right now, I have to get through this double date thing.

When we entered Starbucks, Paul met with a guy and then he brought the guy and introduced to me.

"Emma, this is Charlie. Charlie...Emma" Paul introduced.

"Hello, Emma" Charlie smiled.

"Hi" I smiled politely.

Something felt weird about this Charlie guy but I shook it off. Maybe I am just imagining things.

"So, where are you from?" Charlie asked me.

"Oh, I am from Philly" I replied.

"I have been to Philly a few times. Some of my relatives are from Philly actually." He said.

"That's good" I said.

"You know Emma, Charlie is a good singer." Paul chimes in.

"You sing?" I asked trying to be polite because I am not okay with the situation I am in and want to get out as soon as possible.

"Yeah sometimes" He replied with a nervous smile.

I feel sorry for him because he really seems like a great guy and I don't want to do this to him.

"So, you live in New York?" Charlie asked me.

"Yeah, Jen and I are roommates" I replied.

"Oh, that's great, because when Paul moves in with Jenna, we can go on double dates every weekend." Charlie said excitedly.

What? No, this is getting out of control. I can't do this. I have to come clean before things go awfully wrong.

"Uh, Jen?" I said turning to Jen.

"yea.....Hey isn't that Mr. Henry Hart?" She said looking behind me.

"What?" I was shocked.

"Look. There" she pointed to the counter and I turned to see him ordering.

OMG....what is he doing here? What am I going to do now?

"Mr. Henry hart" Jenna called him before I could stop her.

"Jen. No" I said but it was too late because Henry was already heading towards our table.

I turned back and put my head down trying to come up with a plan to get out of this situation.

"Hello, Ms. Jenna" he said politely.

"Hello Mr. Hart, I am Paul, Jenna's Fiance" Paul introduced himself.

"Hello, Paul" Henry said.

"Uh hello Mr. Hart, my name is Charlie, I work with Paul" Charlie introduced himself and I sighed in relief. Lucky me he didn't .......

"Yeah, he is Emma's date" Jen chimed in.

Dang it.

OMFG.....kill me. Kill me now......I wish I could get into a hole and never come out because I don't want to face Henry right now.

"Date?" he asked surprised with a trace of anger in his voice.

Even though I am not looking at his face right now, I am sure he is angry as hell.

"Yeah, we are on a double date. Isn't that right Em?" Jenna asked me.

"Huh?" I looked up not knowing what to say.

Just then Charlie's phone starts to ring.

"I am sorry, I have to get this" he said and excused himself.

"Wanna join us for a drink, Mr. Hart?" Paul offered.

"That's okay Paul, I don't want to intrude on your date" he said in a sarcastic tone.

I am dead.

"It's nice to see you Ms. Lawrence" he said in a stiff voice.

I slowly turned to face him, praying to god and saw him glaring at me.

"You too Mr. Hart" I replied just louder than a whisper.

"Okay then, I should get going now" Henry said and walked away hurriedly.

I know he is mad but more than that I know that he is upset and I feel very bad.

"I will be back in a minute Jen" I said and followed him outside.

Once outside, I called after him.

"Henry.....Henry" I called him and he stopped near his car.

I ran to him and caught his hand.

"Henry. please wait. I can explain" I said looking at him.

"Can you? Can you Ms. Lawrence?" he asked with anger rising in his voice.

"Look, I know, I shouldn't have done this but Jenna and Paul put me on a spot and I didn't have a choice." I tried to explain.

"You do have a choice, Emma. You can tell them instead of going on double dates with some guy or do you really like that Charlie guy?" he said with hurt clearly visible in his words.

"I am sorry Hen. I....." he cut me off.

"Save it Em. If you really love me, why can't you tell your best friend?" he asked me.

He has a point. I shouldn't do this, at least not with Jenna because she is bound to find out sooner or later.

"Okay, come" I grabbed his hand and started to walk towards the entrance.

"Em, what....." Henry began to speak but I cut him off.

"You are right Hen. We should tell them right now"

Before we could enter, Jen and Paul came out. They saw me holding Henry's hand.

"I knew it" Jenna shrieked.

I was confused.

"I am sorry?" I said trying to understand what she meant by that.

"You and Mr. Hart. Didn't I tell you Paul?" she said turning to Paul.

"Yup" Paul said with a wide grin.

"You knew?" I asked them.

"I had my suspicions but when I caught you smiling at your phone at 6 in the morning, I was sure that you were hiding something but you wouldn't tell me. That is why we planned this double date thing because we knew you would eventually cave in and tell us the truth." Jenna explained.

"Yeah but the thing we didn't expect is that you would be dating your boss" Paul added.

"Sorry guys" I said blushing.

"That's okay. We are happy you found someone" Jenna said looking at Henry.

"Thanks, Ms. Jenna" Henry smiled.

"Please, call me Jenna" she said.

"Sooooooo, I am sorry about Charlie." I apologized and Jenna and Paul started to laugh so hard that they probably got cramps.

"What?" I asked confused.

"Charlie....has....a.....boyfriend" Paul said still laughing hard.

"Boyfriend?.......ohhhh" I said realizing.

I knew something was off about him.

"So, you two are official?" Jenna asked me after she finally stopped laughing.

"Yes we are" Henry replied and I blushed.

After that, Jen and Paul invited us to go to the movies and we had a great time. 

It was indeed a Double Date after all.

A/N: Jenna and Paul know the truth now. How long will it take for the others to find out (including Henry and Emma)?
