Chapter 10: A chance of life or death
1 week until Project: Chaos
James stood in front of the old house. He had to do it. He had no choice. No choice.
"Better sooner than later." He muttered under his breath. No he had a choice. He always had a choice, he just never saw it.
"Come on. Move stupid body!" He muttered. He calmed down and moved slowly to the door.
"Hello!" He called out into the darkness not daring to go farther. The wind blew behind him almost as if it was trying to warn him to run away.
"Hello dear!" A voice greeted him he tried his hardest to not flinch at hearing that voice again. He almost wanted to run away.
"Why did you call me here Alice! You know I don't like having you so close to me!" He exclaimed as she laughed.
"Oh I just want to make a deal my dear!" She giggles. "One I know you won't be able to resist!"
"Oh yeah?"
"We both know your not telling your little friend everything and we both know what is coming. So I have a deal for you one you can't say no too!"
"Go on."
8 hours until Project: Chaos
"I'm telling you today something was there!" He told Hunter.
"I know. You've been telling me since we got to school. Now I need to head to health class. See you later James." Hunter was about to walk off.
"You still take that class!?" James laughed.
"Oh haha laugh all you want, just don't come crawling to me when you get hurt and don't know how to disinfect it." Hunter said annoyed.
"Whatever. See ya Hunter." James waved as he walked to first period.
'Time to start the plan and spread rumors.' James thought. The kid next to him sat down and he told them about what he 'saw'.
He continued to do this for all his periods until school is over and he gets into a 'fight' with someone who didn't believe him.
5 minutes until Project: Chaos
"Are you sure about this James?" Hunter asked worried.
"I'm sure Hunter. I'm not crazy!" He exclaimed.
"I know." Hunter said as he walked next to him. They finally got to the house. The plants looked dead, the glass windows broken, the wood of the house was peeling off, and the door was on the porch floor.
"It's not to late to turn back you know." He said trying to convince him as Hunter began to walk the direction of his house.
"Oh no you don't!" He said as he grabbed the back of his jacket. Hunter sighed and walked with him up to the old house.
'Forgive me Hunter.'
