"CARLY" Reba yelled from the living room."Yo!" Carly said jogging into the kitchen."Can you take the baby up to your room? I'm going call you dad and tell him that it's time to come home." She asked.Carly gave Reba a soft smile and picked Garett up out of his cradle. Reba called Narvel, he picked up on the second ring. "Hi baby" Narvel said "Hey darlin" Reba replied."I think that you should come home." She said bluntly."Really-I mean are you sure that's a good idea?" He asked surprised."Yes the kids need their dad" "So we would be over if you could do this alone?" He asked slightly hurt.Reba could hear the hurt in is voice "no because I love you too much to let you go" she said.She heard him sigh/laugh on the other end of the line. "I love you too." He said."Please come home?" I miss you ."Of course.Im on my way." He said"Okay I love you" she said."I love you too." He said." Oh and tell Carly that I'm sorry""Okay I will" Reba said and hung up the phone to talk to Carly.She found Carly sitting only couch holding Garrett watching Spongebob. It was a new episode so she was singing the theme song to him.

"Hey darlin, I need to talk to you" Reba said."Go ahead." Carly said making a funny face at Garett.."Your daddy is coming home" she said "when"Carly asked."He's on his way here." Reba replied."Ohh" she replied."Yea..."Her voice trailed off"he wants me to tell you that he is sorry.""I know he is" she said "I'm excited to see him."So your okay with everything he said to you?" Reba asked." I kinda deserved it." She replied."You didn't deserve that Carly" Reba said."Name one good thing I've done for this family." Carly replied."You have been the best daughter or sister we could asked for"'Reba said pushing a piece of Carly's hair behind her ear ."Does that count as your pregnant mother getting depressed and almost divorcing her husband because her daughter purposely got kidnapped?" Carly said. "Sweetheart we loved you through all of it and still do"Reba said."Mom h-how?
I almost killed Garett when I kicked you in the stomach." Carly said."Garett was on the other side of my belly, he was fine" Reba side."What about the huge bruise I made.? You couldn't sleep on your left side for two weeks."."I couldn't sleep on my left because of Garett's position, not because of the bruise." "Right." Carly said handing Garett to Reba and walking to her room.

"Carly" reba said calling after her daughter ."Yes?" She replied cracking her door."Please talk to me" Reba begged. "I'll talk if you'll be honest." Carly spat."I was being honest, I wouldn't lie to you Carly" reba said."How can you not hold any hatred towards me?" Carly asked walking downstairs."Because you are my daughter and I love you" she said following Carly."Classic mom comeback."Carly rolled her eyes."We'll what do you want me to say Carly" reba asked.Carly turned around and met her mothers eye."Hoe about the truth.That you have the slightest bit of regret about going to that gig that night you met me.Tell me that you agrees with everything dad said!" Carly yelled."I never regretted that night Carly"Reba said putting Garett in his swing in the family room."I guess you ignored the red flag when I passed out." Carly said walking to the couch and sitting down."How was that a red flag Carly" she asked."I passed out from having a panic attack when I met you." Carly said looking down."Do you know how many times that has happened to me Carly" Reba asked."Did any of then happen to be your daughter. I did it out of fear not excitement." Carly said."None of us know that we're mother/daughter yet" she said."What about that vision I had when I shook your hand? That didn't give you a hint? Or when I yelled to Danny that you were my mother?" Carly was trying not to cry."Of course I had a feeling that you were my daughter, but I didn't want to freak you out more" Reba explained."Like that was possible?" Carly said sarcastically."Did something happen with Danny" Reba asked."No if you haven't forgotten the abusive ex boyfriend." Carly said."Right,sorry" Reba apologized.

Narvel walked I. And dropped his bags by the door."Warm welcome huh ladies" Narvel said."Don't push it." Carly said."Hi darlin" Reba got up and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.He hugged her back and said "I'm sorry." She pulled away and wiped his tears away, and kisses him again."Carly?" He asked seeing her on the couch. She got up , walked over and hugged him, avoiding eye contact with them."I missed you pretty girl" he said hugging her."I missed you too." She said burying her face into his chest.He kissed the top of he head and smiled.She pulled away and returned to her spot on the couch."Look, we need to talk." Reba said sitting across from Carly."Carly we need you to open up." She added on." How many times to I have to open up for you to be satisfied!?" Carly yelled."Carly I'm only trying to help you" Reba said "If you really want to help me, you'll let me go." Carly said turning her head to focus on something else."Why do you want to go so badly"Narvel asked."Because I don't belong in this family!" She admitted." I never have! I've been passed around my whole life so I don't feel like I belong anywhere."That broke both Reba and Narvel hearts. "You do belong here baby" Reba said with tears in her eyes."Yea, I've proven that so far." Carly said sarcastically as a Lonely tear ran down her cheek."You don't have to prove the belong here because. You already do darlin" Narvel said."How long have you been feeling this way?" Reba asked, slightly scared of what the answer would be."The day Garett was born" Carly answered."I saw the 4 of you together, you were a family and I was like a burden standing in the hall, not being missed."She added on.Reba was crying and Narvel had tears in his eyes."I guess we just got distracted by the baby." Narvel replied sadly."Which understandable, but it shows how forgettable I really am." They were speechless. They never in a million years would've made her feel this way."Carly..." Reba said softly, choking back tears."Yea mom"Carly answered."I-" what could she say? What would possibly make this better?"I-I'm so sorry" she criedFor some reason when Reba said sorry. Carly felt that Reba actually meant it this time."I'm sorry too." She replied.Carly got up and walked over to her mother."I need to go."Before Carly could get away Reba grabbed her hand and pulled her into a very tight hug.Narvel joined in but they were interrupted by a knock at the door."I'll get it" Narvel said."No I got it." Carly said jumping up. When she opens the door her knees went weak and she fell, scrambling backwards"DADDY" she screamed in pure terror.It was to late. The man grabbed Carly and Narvel tried to defend her but two more men stepped in and restrained Narvel and Reba."LEAVE THEM ALONE" She yelled. The man punched her right in the face She fell to the floor but quickly recovered and stood I front of Garett. "Well look at that."he smiled."Is he yours?"he asked."Did you finally find some one to live you and leave you?" He smirked. "Don't even think about laying a Finger on him" she said.He stepped to wards her and she shoved him away. The rage in his eyes scared her. He shoved her down and picked her up. "LET ME GO" she screamed."Honey I'm not done with you." He said. She spit in his face. He threw her down and drug her into the kitchen.they couldn't see what was going on, but they sure as hell heard it. Garett was screaming his lungs out. "GET AWAY FROM ME" Carly screamed.

They ran back into the living room and he tried to cut her. She jumped back and he grazed her stomach. She cried out in pain.She fell to her knees and Reba screamed "NO!"but he was far from finished.

As soon as her eyes closed he said it was time to go. The three of them left and the sounds of a speeding car faded. "Carly?" Reba and Narvel cried, still tied up. She stumbled out of the kitchen."Carly just try to make it here.Untie me and I'll get help." Reba coaxed. Carly stumbled towards her and fell. She was in arms reach of the ropes that bounded Reba's wrists.she untied Reba and collapsed onto the floor."What did he do you to you" Reba asked helping Carly."Help dad." She gasped out. Reba untied Narvel and went to check on Garett.

Carly was bleeding pretty badly. Narvel called 911 and focused on Carly."Shit it hurts" Carly cried out ."Carly I'm sorry." He said crying. Reba returned and they helped Carly to the couch."I can't stop the bleeding mom" she said.Reba ran to grab a rag and applied pressure to her stomach.Narvel lifted Carly shirt to see how bad the cut was and was horrified at what he saw.The wound was about 8 inches long and very deep, the bleeding didn't show any signs of stopping."Carly what did he cut you with?" Narvel asked.It looked like he took a couple more swings at her. "He had a butcher knife from the kitchen." She said."I'm so sorry Carly" Narvel said crying.She just shook her head telling him it was okay. Her eyes grew heavy and started to close."Carly stay with me" Narvel yelled.She was out of it but hope came along with the ambulance.Carly kept slipping in and out off Consciousness.the paramedics rushed through the door and lifted Carly on to the stretcher. She was struggling to stay awake.

"Don't leave us Carly, cmon baby stay with us" Reba said on their way to the hospital.She was riding with Carly in the ambulance, Narvel and Garett were driving behind them. Her stomach hadn't stopped bleeding and she was getting a fever."Why don't the bleeding stop"Reba asked the paramedics frantically."We don't have the right amount of equipment on board to fix it, there may be internal bleeding." The paramedic said."Mama" Carly breathed out."What is it baby?" Reba asked trying not to break down."I love you" she breathed out again."I love you too bug." Reba said grabbing Carly's hand.Both Reba and Carly are crying, they are both terrified of losing one another."Mom if I don't make it-" Reba cut her off "you are going to make it. Don't say goodbye Carly Blackstock.""I love Dad, Shelby, Garett and you so much. Don ever forget that" Carly said half conscious."Carly, no."Reba demanded.

They arrived at the hospital ,Reba felt Carly's grip grow weaker rapidly.The paramedics rushed through the halls and were met by several doctors and nurses.

"How is she" Narvel asked Reba as he was carrying Garett.She shook her head and let the flood gates open. He pulled her into a hug with his free arm.Both Narvel and Reba were crying. Garett just starts laughing.They give each other a funny look and stare at their son."What so funny baby boy" Reba asks taking Garett from Narvel.She bounced him on her knee, he kept laughing waving his arms around. She smiled and cried."It's like he knows that we need cheering up" narvel said watching his son.Reba looked at Narvel "Narvel she said goodbye." Reba was trying to hold it together, it wasn't working so well."What do you mean she said goodbye" he asked."She said goodbye." She emphasized the word goodbye."Why would she say that"
He asked."She didn't honk she was going to make it."Reba cried,Both of them just broke down at this point. The thought of losing their little girl was too much.

The doctor came into the waiting area. He looked exhausted."Mr and Mrs Blackstock?" The doctor asked."Mr and Mrs Blackstock?" The doctor asked.The couple stood up"Yes?" Narvel said."You might want to sit down for this" the doctor said.The couple sat down with shaking knees "What's wrong?" Narvel asked scaredly."The cuts on Carly's abdomen were much deeper expected" he said."And..." Narvel asked. Reba was to upset to talk."I'm afraid that your daughter didn't survive her injuries." He said sympathetically. Both Narvel and Reba both broke down. Their worst nightmare has just come true."I'm so sorry for your loss"he apologized. He left the couple to grieve in the private waiting room. "Oh God why'd you take my baby girl?" Reba prayed."Why did you take my baby away from me" she cried out.Narvel wrapped his arm around her, Garett was in His other.He cried along with her. He never got a chance to say sorry.
