I went back to the towers to do the training. I tried all the three towers this time and aced them all. It had become easy now, I knew all the secrets and the attacks of the tower. After completing them three times I finally thought of taking a break. I started going back towards the castle.

I took the stairs on the right first and went up to the kitchen. With all these trainings I was hungry so, I ate a light supper before coming down and going to the left stairs.

climbing up the stairs I reached the first floor, I took a step towards the rows of rooms when I Suddenly stopped and looked back at the stairs that were going up.

I knew that on the other side of the room there were restrooms and baths for us but, what was upstairs?

I had never gone up the stairs but, I had seen Cyril coming down various times from up there. It wasn't that we were forbidden to go up there, it's just I never really gave it a thought.

But, now I was curious I have been around three weeks in the castle now and still I didn't know most of it. Well at least I knew where three of the four stairs went but I didn't know where the left staircase at the back goes.

The left here at the front comes up here, the right one goes to the cafeteria and meeting room while the right one at the back goes to the kings and the royal chambers.

I was pretty sure only the left staircase at the back remained.

I spared a moment of thought guessing what could be up there but, after pondering for a minute gave up.

You can always go and check that place dumbo.

"I could" I said unsurely.

Still, I focused back on the stairs in front of me, should I take a risk and venture above.

Oh, don't do that, please... You will piss your pants if you did that.

I could practically see him smirking in my mind. I sighed shaking my head and then started going above.

I treaded up slowly, looking every few seconds behind my back to see if anyone had spotted me or not.

I was up the first flight of stairs and now only one more remained. I was praying for someone to catch me, I didn't want to go up now. No one came to stop me, I continued going up and finally reached the second floor.

I looked first at my left and then at my right, it was similar to the floor below, there were rooms on the right while restrooms and baths on the left.

Curious to see if someone lived here or not I went to the room directly above mine and came to a stop in front of the door.

I took hold of the knob, my hands were shaking but, I turned the knob and slightly opened the door, and took a peek inside.

No one was there in the room. I opened the door wide and looked at the room in awe.

The bed was like a royal palanquin, made with gold with interlacing floral design and patterns. I went to the bed and touched the fabric. It was soft, softer than cotton. I could imagine myself falling asleep in a minute if I slept up here.

Not that the bed in our rooms were uncomfortable they were pretty good themselves but, nothing compared to this.

There were even cabinets and wardrobes that surprisingly had code locks. There was even a royal purple wallpaper throughout the room and.......

I couldn't believe what I was seeing above. A chandler albeit a small one, it looked the same as the ones that always fall in a Indian ball parties.

There was an air conditioner to the top on one side and the window on the opposite wall showing the same scenery that could be seen through my window.

Looks like it's the guest house for other royals to visit.

"Other royals, I thought the whole Aldgaris was ruled by the one and only king"

It's just a guess dummy, still, we really don't know if that is the truth or not.

"you're right," I said coming out of the room and slowly closing the door behind me. I went back to the stairs to go down.

Where are you going

"Back to the room, now shut up," I said rolling my eyes.

Don't you want to see how the baths and restrooms are

"Nope, why"

Comon idiot, if the rooms on this floor are so royal how much good their baths would be

I can't deny that he had a point there but, what will I gain by looking into a bath. It's not like I will have some extra superpower or knowledge.

Nope but, still we are seeing it.

I sighed, he was right. I knew it would just be something royal, to say the least, but, still my mind wanted to see it. Man how curious race we humans are I thought shaking my head.

I started walking towards the nearest door, that was when I saw the adjoining passageway. There was another passageway that led deeper into the palace.

From where it was, I would say that the passageway connected the floor to the floor above the courtroom.

I stopped all the curiosity about the bath faded now, I myself was curious as to where the passage led.

I changed direction and slowly started walking through the passage, there were many frames and artworks adorning both the side of the passage. I didn't wait there much to inspect them.

I kept on going straight ahead in the dark passage. It felt like an eternity by the time I reached the other side.

It was dazzling like the courtroom below. The rays of the sun reflecting on the marble floor and walls. There were many rooms here flanked on both sides by the guard.

I had emerged into the middle of the place. On both sides there were rooms. There was a staircase on the corner going down to the courtroom. Just beside it was a big open door. With guards on both the side.

They had seen me coming out, so there was no point in being snoopy. I mustered my courage and confidently trotted to the big room that they were guarding.

They looked at me and said nothing. I went inside the room. The guards eyes followed me but, they didn't stop me.

I went inside and was soon out of their side. I let out the breath that I was holding and looked around. It was a library.

Correction it was a LIBRARY, there were racks and racks of books going up to the ceiling, and believe me, the ceiling was high.

I looked above and rotated in my place, my eyes going to all the racks around me. There were stairs winding around that made the top of those racks accessible.

I went to the rack that was just some way ahead and looked through the titles, they had weird titles with names that I had difficulty pronouncing. Some even weren't in english or any earthen language.

The only best things about the books were their richly crafted covers and their placing in alphabetical sequence.

Bravo idiot you just found your key out

"Do you have to comment when things are going peaceful," I said placing back the book that I had taken out of the rack.

Whatever, still I have to give it to you, you aren't as scardy pants as I thought you were.

"Did I say you always speak uninvited," I said rolling my eyes.

Oh, that's my specialty, thank you for your comment.

I sighed and shook my head, he can be a real pain if he wants.

"What did you meant, when you said that I had found my key out," I said changing the topic.

I didn't say anything, knowing well that it would annoy him more and he will eventually come to the point and he did after a minute.

What is the most important thing that you need right now?

"Peace from your constant blabbering" I provided.

Really, okay then idiot I won't say a thing. You can find a way out of here all on your own, peace out.

His blabbering stopped, I waited for another minute knowing full well he can't shut up and he will speak up. He didn't, I waited for another minute no voice came. Another minute goes and then another, no voice comes.

"Okay, I am sorry now speak up" I don't know why I said that but, it was enough for the torturer to return.

See you can't live without me, you need my dumbo. you can deny it all but, in the end, you know you need me.

"Whatever, now come to the point and explain me everything," I said to him.

But before he can tell me anything one of the guards came in.

"The kings coming up here, leave the library," he said coming to stop in front of me.

I nodded and started towards the entrance of the library. The guard stopped me.

"Not from there, the king is coming up," he said "Follow me"

I gave one last look to the entrance of the library before following the guard.
