Newt's POV
I woke up on the floor. I got up and sat at the end of my bed and studied Emma. She was wearing an army green long sleeve shirt and skinny jeans. Her black tennis shoes lay on the floor next to the bed. I realized how skinny she was unlike Gally.

I gently shook her.
"Emma it's time to wake up. I have to give you the tour." I said. She sat up and grabbed her shoes. She put them on and stood up. I led her outside.
"Those are the walls. Behind them is the maze. You never go out there unless you're a runner. Now we have different jobs Slicers, Runners, Builders, Medjacks, and a few others. Alby said you could skip the Slicers cause it's bloody work. You'll be with Jeff today. He's the is the keeper of the Medjacks." I said. She nodded and followed me to the Medjacks. I left and went to go to the gardens.

Emma's POV
After Newt left Jeff explained everything to me and what was for what. About half way through the day Newt came in with a large cut on his hand.
"Can you handle this? I have to go check on someone." Jeff asked. I nodded my head. Jeff walked off and left me with Newt.
"Why don't you talk very much?" He asked. I noticed his accent sound like me.
"What's the bloody need?" I asked.
"I just want to hear you talk." He replied. I finished wrapping his hand. His face was so close to mine. I could feel his warm breath. He was cuter up close. I became embarrassed.
"We'll I'm finished. See you later." I said. I walked off and went to find Jeff.

Newt's POV
I'm such an idiot. I scared her off. I went to find Gally. I eventually found him working on the Homestead floor.
"Hey Gally. Let's just say a glader liked your sister how would you react?" I asked. He stopped what he was doing and sat back on his heels.
"I'd hurt the shank if he broke her heart. If it was Minho or anyone else I probably would be pretty mad but, I've seen the way you treat her. So basically I'm ok with it as long as you don't break her heart." He said.
"Was it really that obvious?" I asked.
"Yeah. Now can you go away I'm trying to work on this floor shank." He said. I went to find Emma. The sun was starting to set. Jeff said Emma had headed towards deadheads. Then Minho went in a few minutes later. I limped into the woods. I found Minho pinning Emma to a tree.
"Minho leave her alone." I said.
"Why should I?" He replied turning slightly towards me. Emma took advantage of him not paying attention and kicked him. He crouched over in pain. I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her to my chest. She was a little bit shorter than me so she put the side of her head on my shoulder. I put my other arm around her small waist.
"I loved you when I was little and I still do. Please be my girlfriend." I asked. She pulled away slightly. I was really confused.
"Really?" She asked. I nodded.
"Yes." She said. She put her arms around my neck. I leaned in my lips met her soft lips.  When we pulled away I smiled.
"You're mine and I'll never let you go." I said and buried my head in her brown hair.
