Realization
"A wolf?"
Mark asks quickly, his brown eyes now matching the seriousness of the Swede.
"As in-"
The red haired man begins to ask before being cut off by the blonde man.
"A werewolf..."
He acknowledges with a sigh. Mark pushes a hand through his dyed red hair, before his eyes go to the living room where Jack still sat, and worry lines his brown eyes.
"There can't be a werewolf... Jack's here, what if he gets hurt?"
The red haired man ask quickly, Felix simply shrugging his shoulders and looking almost apologetic.
"We'll just have to hunt it before it can hurt anyone else..."
Felix states nonchalantly. Mark opens his mouth to ask who it had hurt already before an Irish accented voice interrupts the two.
"Felix!"
The voice cries out, Mark turns around just as the green haired Irish man nearly tackles the Swede in a hug. Felix laughs, any seriousness replaced by a happy façade, though Mark saw straight through it.
"Hey Jack, long time no see."
The blonde greets him with a laugh, pulling away from the embrace, Jack nods and smiles brightly, nearly bouncing up and down on the balls of his feet. Mark releases a silent sigh and plasters on a small smile as well, though worry still twisted at his gut.
"Well now that we're all here, how about some food, what are you in the mood for?"
Mark questions, his chocolate brown eyes moving between the two other men. Felix shrugs, seeming to truly not care, Jack however always knew what he wanted, and obviously was going to speak his mind.
"Chinese!"
Jack shouts loudly, his excitement making a genuine laugh escape the red haired man. The Irish man was just like a child, a small guy who needed to be protected from the monsters of the world.
"Chinese it is... let's go."
Mark agrees simply grabbing his keys as he follows the Swede out of the door. Jack follows as well, but lags behind, his blue eyes scanning the two males skeptically. Of course though Mark and Felix hadn't thought he noticed, Jack had seen the tension between the two, the serious energy, something was up with them, but Jack didn't know what, but it was now his goal to figure it out.
Less than ten minutes later the three men sit at a booth, each with their own plate of food, Mark and Jack on one side, and Felix on the other. Talking about nothing in particular, though Jack's eyes watched the two closely, each small movement of theirs still holding a bit of tension.
A part of the Irish man wants to ask the two what was wrong, but he pushes aside his curiosity for now, and simply laughs along with the conversation, but for once, his laughs were forced, a feeling of unease occupying his gut, making him slightly squirm in his seat, though the two men seemed to not notice.
A few hours pass and the three return to Mark's house, walking in the door a yawn instantly escapes the Irish man who stood at the front of the small group, his blue eyes tired though it was early. He really didn't sleep much the night before, because of... other reasons.
"Tired already Sean?"
The red haired man questions, snapping Jack out of his thoughts and his blue eyes to travel to the two men who stood at the closed door. Felix checking something on his phone and Mark looking at him with a small gentle smile. The Irish man smiles and nods gently.
"Yah... I uh... Didn't sleep well last night..."
He mutters softly, instinctively running his fingers through his already messy green hair. Mark looks at him, now a bit of worry in his chocolate brown eyes as he silently tells the man to elaborate.
"I... I'm just not used to your place yet I suppose."
He finally explains after a minute of thinking, a part of him desperately wanting to tell the man the truth, but knowing he couldn't, he had to hide what he really was. Mark looks at him for another few seconds, Jack thinking for a minute he'd caught his lie before the man nods and smiles gently once again.
"I have some coffee if you'd like to make some?"
Mark suggests, the mention of coffee making the Irish man smile once again, and nod somewhat excitedly.
"That sounds heavenly. I'll be back."
Jack calls as he turns walking to the kitchen. With the green haired man out of sight Mark finally turns to Felix once again, his brown eyes questioning.
"Who has this wolf hurt? And when?"
The red haired man asks quietly, his voice a soft grumble. Felix lifts up his phone to show Mark the screen, a picture of a man shows up, he couldn't' have been more than 20 years old.
"Mike Earnings, 19 years old, body found this morning, torn to shreds."
Felix lists off the males information, his blue eyes void of emotion, though his hand held onto the phone tightly, he clearly wanted to catch this thing and quick. Mark couldn't blame him however, if it truly was a werewolf they had to do something, those beasts were unpredictable, and could attack at any time.
Thankfully however, killing one of the things was fairly easy, silver through the heart, silver being one of the only things that could hurt or kill one of the monsters.
"Right. So how are we going to hunt this thing?"
Mark asks, raising an eyebrow at the Swede who grins slightly, determination clear.
"Well werewolves need to feed often, so chances are it's going to attack again tonight, we can scan the area Mike was attacked, and hopefully kill this son of a bitch."
~~~~~~~~~~~In the Kitchen~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The green haired Irish man's breaths came in short spurts, his hands nearly shaking as he clung to the wall, threatening to fall to the ground.
He'd heard the two talking. Every word, and now he knew. Why they were acting so strange.
Hunters, the two of his best friends were hunters. Their life goal to kill monsters, monsters like Jack.
He was their next target, he had to be even more careful. He couldn't let them find out his true nature.
