Y/n: Weiss is taking forever......

Blake: Right...

Ruby: Yep.

20 Minutes Later

She finally came out of the changing room with her rapier in hand.

Y/n: Jeez how long does it take to put on a dress.

She looked at me annoyed.

Weiss: Quiet you!

She then walks into where she should stand and got into her fighting stance.

Yang: Gooooooo Weiss!

Blake: Fight well!

Y/n: Come on ice queen! Don't let it take your throne!

The whole class snickered while Weiss was getting really annoyed

Ruby: Yeah, represent Team RWBY!

She then put her arms in the air cheering her on.

Weiss: Ruby, I'm trying to focus!

Ruby then looked down slightly sad while putting her arms down.

Ruby: Right, sorry...

I slightly get annoyed on how she only said that that Ruby.

Y/n: (Annoyed) Well that was rude...

Port: Alright, let's begin the match, begin!

The borbatusk then rolls charges to Weiss, when she got close enough she struck its side and rolled to the left, dodging it. Then it turned around to face Weiss.

Portapotty: Haha, weren't expecting that were you?

Ruby: Hang in there Weiss!

Then they both charge at each other with Weiss pointing her weapon at it. The borbatusk then tilting its head causing Weiss' rapier to get trapped.

Weiss then was playing tug of war with the borbatusk

Ruby: Come on Weiss, show it who's boss!

Weiss then glares at Ruby. However, making the mistake of not paying attention to the fight. The borbatusk then launches Weiss and her weapon on opposite sides of the field

Weiss: Uhh!

Porty: hoho, what will you do without your weapon?

Weiss Then goes running full speed for her weapon. Once she was close enough she slid on the floor to her weapon.

Ruby: Weiss, go go for its belly! There's no armor underneath-!

Weiss then turns to her very angry.

Weiss: STOP TELLING ME WHAT TO DO!

Ruby then sinks down sad.

Y/n: She's only trying to help!

She then rolls her eye and looks towards the grimm to see that to was rolling very fast towards her

She then forms a glyph and blocks the grimm's attack causing it to fall over on its back while Weiss jumps up and stabs the grimm in the stomach.

She then starts panting heavily.

Bort: Bravo! Braa-Vo! It appears that we are indeed in the presence of a true huntress in training.

Pete: I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings and stay vigilant!

However, Ruby looked really sad while she glared at her.

Jaune: Sheesh what's with her?

Y/n: I can taste the salt.

She then exits the class, so Ruby followed her while I stay a reasonable distance away from them both. Ruby then turns a corner so then I stay behind a pillar and listen in.

Ruby's POV

I ran to where Weiss was and turned the corner to find her. I then go behind her and confront her about what happened in Professor Poop's class.

Ruby: Weiss!

She turns to me clearly annoyed.

Weiss: What?

Ruby: What's wrong with you? Why are you being-

She then gets really frustrated I already regret coming here. If only Y/n was here to help me.

Weiss: What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you? You're supposed to be a leader and all you've been so far is a nuisance.

I then look down sad and scoff while turning to Weiss.

Ruby: What did I do?

She then slightly leans in slightly towards me.

Weiss: That's just it, you've done nothing to earn you position. Back in the forest you acted like a child, and you've only continued to do so, just like Y/n

Ruby: Weiss, where is this coming from? What happened to all the talk about working together? I thought you believed in acting as a team.

She then closed her eyes and pointed towards me, slowly.

Weiss: Not a team... Led by you. I've studied and trained and quite frankly, I deserved better. Ozpin made a mistake

I was left heartbroken while my hand dropped. She then walked away from me. Then I heard footsteps behind behind me I then looked to see Y/n.

Ruby: Y-Y/n!? How much did you hear...

Y/n: Enough...

Ruby: Was she right...did Ozpin make a mistake...

I then looked down and shuffle one leg back and forth.

Y/n: Nope!

I then looked to see his cheery face.

Ruby: Huh!

Y/n: Nope! In fact, I actually suggested to Oz that you be the team leader.

I looked at him shocked... He would do that for me...

Ruby: But...Why...

Y/n: Well, I see a great leader inside you.

Ruby: What do you mean?

His eyes Dilated.

Y/n: It's only been one day. Being a team leader isn't just a title you carry into battle, it's a badge you wear constantly. If you're not always trying your hardest, then why should others let you lead them. You've been burdened with a difficult responsibility... Take some time to think on how you will uphold it.

He looks like he broke out of his trance.

Y/n: Did I say something? I felt like I said something. Was it stupid?

I looked down and smiled.

Y/n's Pov

Y/n: Alright, there's my daily words of wisdom for the day! Come on Ruby lets go back to o-

Ozpin: That was well said Y/n.

Me and Ruby both get startled, and we both look to see Ozpin standing there drinking Hot chocolate... as usual.

Y/n: Umm, hey.

Ozpin: That was well said just like a lea-

Y/n: Cut to the chase.

Ozpin then sighed.

Ozpin: I am appointing you as Co-leader of Team RWBY.

Both me and Ruby's jaw drop so I lift mine and Ruby's jaw back up and stare in disbelief at the young headmaster.

Y/n: But I'm not even going to be a good lea-

Ozpin: Y/n, you may not see it, but you have as much potential as miss Rose for being leader. Don't worry It's merely a thing where if Ruby is not there to make a decision you will have the authority to do so. Most teams have this type of emergent 2nd in command. Im simple prescribing you this role.

Y/n: Well, I'm not even going to tell an-

Ozpin: Your team has already been informed.

I then get a notification on my scroll.

ThatRWBYguy: This is probably my best one TBF. Rate it out of 10. I'll give this on a 6.5

I cursed under my breath and grabbed Ruby's hand while walking to our dorm We then see Port walking past Weiss while she is in shock.

Y/n: Heh thanks Port.
