Chapter 5
"He did not!" Grace squealed down the phone.
"Yes I've told you twice now Grace," I chuckled a little. I decided that Grace deserved to know where Nathan took me earlier as I kind of left her in school, but now I kinda wished I didn't.
"I know I know, but that's so cute Gretch!" She squealed again.
"Shut up."
"Touchy." She teased.
"Just drop it okay, we barely know each other so he thought it would be a good idea to get to know one another." I explained shoving some chocolate into my mouth and swinging my legs.
"Yeah Gretch that's what I call a date,"
"It wasn't a date!" I moaned down the phone at her.
"Okay okay whatever you say Mrs indenial." She paused "But he's totally into you."
"Goodbye Grace." I rolled my eyes hanging up. I kind of knew that was going to happen, but I shouldn't blame her, she doesn't know anything about my past record with boys or should I say a boy, and to be completely honest I still don't know whether I'm ready for all that stuff again. I'm too scared....

"Jesus Christ..." I mumbled to myself trying to pull my high waisted denim shorts up. It had been ages since I had worn these but Taylor insisted on wearing a pair of shorts today but refused to wear them unless I wore mine. After what seemed like a lifetime of pulling my shorts up I pared it with a light grey off the shoulder top and shoved on my low top blue converse. I shoved my hair up in a messy ponytail full of curls and shoved some mascara on and was done.
"Breakfast!" Bellamy called.
"Coming!" I shouted back, cursing as I whacked my elbow on the doorframe. "Mother fucker..." I whispered entering the kitchen.
"You know, we really are going to have to get a swear jar for you..." My brother tutted at me.
"Like hell you heard that!" I complained still rubbing my elbow.
"I have ears like a bat."
"and a face like one." Bellamy glared at me so I gave him a huge smile.
"Love you."
"You better." He glared before turning round and flipping a pancake. "Especially as I made pancakes." He smiled.

My day at school sucked. I failed my science mock, have an essay to write on how Hamlet puts on an 'antic disposition' and Max continued to piss me off, he clearly didn't get the message.
"Hey look Gretch if you want to come mine sometime to do the English essay I don't mind at all," Taylor suggested as she shoved her books in her locker.
"I didn't have you down as a Hamlet expert," I said raising my eyebrows at her.
"Please my brother did it last year so I just read through his old notes," she shrugged.
"Isn't that cheating?" Grace frowned.
"No...I just have a head start and will probably nail the exam." She smiled laughing at Grace and I.
"You totally suck." I complained.
"Your still on a violent streak then." A new voice joined the conversation, I looked over my shoulder to see Nathan leaning casually against the lockers behind me.
"Well you would be too when you find out everyone else is just about understanding Shakespeare and your not." I sighed folding my arms across my chest.
"So take it out on some punch bags."
"Say a what now?"
"Like a workout Gretch," Taylor rolled her eyes.
"Ohhh, um okay?" I said tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ear.
"Was that a solid answer or a question?" Nathan smirked at me as I realised and rolled my eyes.
"Fine. Yes, as long as I get to punch you." I smiled giggling a little.
"Gretchen!" Grace slapped me on the arm.
"Calm down Grace, Gretch can't hurt a fly let along this...hunk of a guy." Taylor stuttered. Oh my god kill me now, a blush tickled my cheeks but Nathan seemed to ignore the ending of Taylor's comment.
"You seriously have an anger issue." Nathan shook his head.
"Shut up." I said walking away anf heading out the doors and into the parking allotment.
"Ladies," Nathan nodded pushing himself off lockers and heading outside. I waited by the passenger side of his car and immediately got in as soon as he unlocked it.
"Someone's eager." He commented.
"No someone's cold." I corrected.
"Then why'd you wear shorts to school?" Nathan asked turning the heating on.
"Taylor asked me too," I shrugged. "So where are we going to practise?"
"My house."
Wait what! Did he or did he not just say 'my house'?
"Your house!" I choked on air.
"You have a problem with that?" He asked stretching his arm over the back of my seat to look out the back window.
"Um...no." I said not really knowing what to say.
"Well then lets go." He pulled out of the school drive. The drive consisted of light chatter which was nice unlike the last time, it took fifteen minutes to get to his house and boy it was big. The roof was covered in clean brown tiles with not one out of place, the four windows glistened in the sun, a small glass porch protruded from the center of the house where the front door was.
"Wow." I breathed eyeing up what seemed like a mansion. Nathan parked on the driveway in front of a huge garage, defiantly big enough to fit four cars in.
"So are you teaching me in the garden?" I asked unbuckling my belt.
"No," Nathan smirked jumping out of the car a d swiftly walking to my side to open the door so I can jump out.
"Ummm?"
"We've got a gym," Nathan smirked waiting for my reaction.
"Of course. Of course you've got a gym, you probably have an inside pool as well." I glanced up and him pulling a face. "Your kidding me!"
"Does an outdoor pool count?"
"Jesus Christ..." I muttered as Nathan laughed at me.
"Come on." He said gesturing towards the porch. I reluctantly followed him and watched him put his keys in the door and then sigh.
"I forgot to tell you." He said turning round.
"You forgot to tell me what? You have a spa and a horse stable to?"
He smiled "Not quite. My brothers are in..."
"Brothers?"
"Two of them..."
"Oh right, I remember now." I nodded.
"They're a lot to take in so just ignore them, that's what I do." He huffed.
"Got it." I laughed a little. Great, I was meeting the Blake brothers...this will be interesting.
Nathan unlocked the door and allowed me to step through first.
"Mum!?" A deep voice called.
"Have you got the stuff on our list?" Another voice called. I looked up at Nathan and smiled he looked down and just shook his head rolling his eyes.
"Last time I checked I'm not a woman," Nathan shouted back chucking his keys in the bowl.
"That could be argued over!" One of them called back laughing. I looked up at Nathan who just shook his head and rolled his eyes.
"How come mum takes forever-" a boy with dirty blonde hair just like Nathan stopped mid sentence standing in the hallway staring at me.
"Hey Mason, lookie what we have here!" The blonde boy said folding his arms over his chest cockily.
"What the fuc- whoa! Nathan!" This Mason boy laughed.
"I never thought I'd see the day when Nathan brought a girl home..." The other boy said smirking. Nathan sighed heavily.
"Come on then Nath are gonna introduce us?" Mason raised his eyebrows. Nathan sighed again while I was trying not to laugh at how he hated this.
"This is Kendall and this is Mason and guys this is Gretchen." Nathan introduced pathetically indicating whose who with his arm.
"Nice to meet you Gretchen," Kendall walked towards me and kissed my hand cause my cheeks to redden.
"Gretchen." Mason bowed.
"Nice to meet you both," I smiled "Call me Gretch."
"So Gretch!" Kendall grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the kitchen. It was absolutely huge! There was a breakfast bar in the middle of the room the size of an iceberg with fancy stools all around, then to top it all off there was about four ovens a fridge and loads of counters, a sink and a dishwasher along the outside of the room.
"So what drew you to our Nathan?" Kendall asked plonking me down on one of the stools.
"Oh no its not like that-" I began to protest.
"Oh I'm sure it is," Mason sauntered into the kitchen followed by Nathan. It seemed as though Kendall was the more energetic and sociable, Mason seemed cool and collected and Nathan well was the one with a temper.
"Kendall, leave her alone this doesn't involve you," Nathan rolled his eyes.
"Oh no your right," Kendall nodded "That sort of thing only involves two people..." He wiggled his eyebrows at me.
"Gross." I said standing up.
"Looks like she's not that into you Nath," Mason sighed dramatically patting Nathan on the shoulder.
"Fuck off." Nathan shoved Mason into the fridge.
"Violent." Mason muttered rubbing his shoulder.
"And you moan at me for being violent," I tutted at Nathan.
"Yeah okay, thanks for the family meeting guys but we're going upstairs." Nathan rolled his eyes placing his hand on my lower back, slightly pushing me out the kitchen door. Mason and Kendall burst out laughing clutching their stomaches.
"You have to admit you walked straight into that one." I laughed looking up at Nathan.
"Don't encourage them." Nathan scowled "And you two don't go in the gym unless you want your head smashed against the pool."
"Violent," Mason, Kendall and I said in unison then burst out laughing.
"I like her," Kendall approved. Nathan rolled his eyes and let me upstairs and down to the last room.
He opened the door for me and it was like a fitness instructors heaven. The whole front of the room was glass, the was sunlight pouring through bringing light to all these machines.
"Oh my god..." I whispered. Nathan chuckled scratching the back of his neck.
"Don't worry about people seeing you by the way, it's on way glass." Nathan said taking my bag off me and hanging them up.
"You like in heaven!" I said walking over to the glass. "Your gardens huge,"
"Come on stop sightseeing," he chuckled pulling out some wrist and knuckle supports and chucking them at me.
"Put them on." He said taking his leather jacket off.
"Um do you expect me to know how to do that?" I asked staring down at my hands. Nathan strided over to me and took the supports of me and held my hands to wrap them up. He was standing this close to me again just like last time in my room.
"Sorry about my brothers," Nathan sighed.
"Its fine," I smiled "They're kind of funny in small doses,"
"Extremely small," Nathan emphasised. "Right."
"Right." I repeated.
"Show me how you punch now," he said grabbing the punching pad thingys.
"Nooooo," I moaned.
"Gretchen, you need to show me so I know where to start with you,"
"But I punch like a girl."
"You are a girl." He pointed out blankly.
"Shut up." I huffed "Just start from the basics."
***
"You really do punch like a girl," He sniggered.
"Hate to say I told you so," I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Mature."
"I sure am." I winked taking a sip of my water he'd given me. We'd spent an hour on just trying to get me to throw a punch.
"So next time we'll work on distributing your weight," Nathan said grabbing our bags.
"Ohh look at Mr Blake getting all technical," I smirked whilst watching him rolling his eyes. He opened the door for me and shut it behind him gently.
"So which rooms yours?" I asked glancing at him.
"Why?"
"Well you've seen my room so its only fair..." I said.
"On your left." He rolled his eyes. I smiled and opened the door next to me. Surprisingly, his room was clean there was a double bed that was made, an oak drawer and wardrobe, bedside table, desk and another door which peaking through was a bathroom.
"Your rooms clean," I commented.
"You sound surprised," Nathan smiled leaning in the doorway.
"I am," I laughed coming out his room "Nice," I smiled. He laughed and led me back down the stairs.
"Gretch! You haven't broken a sweat," Mason said opening the fridge.
"No I guess I haven't," I smiled shrugging.
"It's coz she's fit," Kendall winked walking past Nathan and I. I blushed a little and looked up at Nathan whose jaw was clenching.
"Well it was nice meeting you both," I smiled.
"You too Gretch," Kendall jogged over to me and engulfed me.
"You can have a feel if you want," he said over my shoulder. Rolling my eyes I pushed him away.
"I'm good thanks," I laughed.
"Bye," Mason hugged me. I could definitely tell that Kendall worked out the most he was the most muscley then it was Nathan then Mason.
"See ya," I waved being led out by Nathan.
