Chapter 13

I smiled as I brushed my hair as I sat at my mirror. I had a shower and was changed into my white dress and heels. I'd finished my simple make up and left my hair down and wavey.

"You ready?" Bellamy called up the stairs.

"Just coming!" I called back down. It turns out that Bellamy's slut was invited and was allowed a plus one, so I've got my babysitter for the night, which I was not happy about.

"Gretch!"

"Coming!" I rolled my eyes grabbing my phone and making my way down the stairs the best as I could in my heels. As Bellamy turned around his face lit up and I smiled at him.

"You don't scrub up too bad," I smirked at him as I looked at his crisp white shirt and black jeans.

"You look great Gretch," he smiled. "If we didn't look so alike people would think we're dating," he laughed.

"Please don't go there...." I laughed a little.

"Are you sure your going to survive in them heels?" Bellamy asked.

"Please I'm a pro," I smirked. "Come on we're going to be late!" I rushed him as I held the door open and slipped my iphone in my bra.

"Classy." Bellamy commented.

"Shut up." I smiled grabbing his keys and getting in the car.

***

Half an hour later we arrived at Jason's house. It was huge and almost the same layout as Nathan's house.

"Don't get too drunk." Bellamy warned.

"Don't have sex with your slut." I shot back.

"Her name is Victoria..." Bellamy sighed.

"Yeah yeah," I laughed getting out of the car. Bellamy got out the car and rested his hand on my waist as he led me into the house.

"See anyone you know yet?" Bellamy asked over the thumping music.

"No," I replied trying to look for the girls or one of the Blake boys.

"Hey Bellamy!" A deep voice called.

"Ahh Todd!" Bellamy smiled pulling this Todd boy into a man hug.

"Is this your sister your always on about?" Todd let his eyes drop to me.

"Yeah, Gretch this is Todd and Todd this is Gretch." Bellamy introduced.

"Pleasure to meet you," I smiled as I took his outstretched hand and shook it.

"The pleasures all mine," he kissed my hand.

"Alright Todd your not trying entice my sister into bed, she has higher standards." Bellamy rolled his eyes and led me to the drinks table. He poured vodka into two shot glasses and pushed them towards me.

"These are the only shots your doing tonight." Bellamy raised his eyebrows, without protest I downed both of them.

"Why?" I moaned.

"Because you and shots don't go well together," he said "I won't be drinking so I can drive us home."

"Kk love ya," I kissed my brother on the cheek and disappeared into the crowd.

"Gretch!" I heard Taylor call "You made it," she smiled handing me a bottle of something.

"Did I have a choice?" I laughed as I downed the bottle.

"No not really," she laughed.

"Is Grace here?" I asked scanning around me.

"Yeah she's with her boyfriend,"

"What!?" I exclaimed "Boyfriend! I was never told of a boyfriend..." I almost shouted.

"They've kept it quiet untill now," Taylor shrugged "She's dating that Andrew boy."

"Oh right," I nodded, I was Andrews partner in maths once he's a nice boy so he wouldn't hurt her, well he wouldn't dare.

"I'll be back in a minute..." Taylor whispered as she passed me and took the empty bottle from my hands. What was with her? Now I was alone again... I hated being alone at parties it made me feel like such a loner. Deciding to look for Bellamy again I walked through what I thought was the lounge when someone slipped their arm round my waist. Spinning round frantically I found myself in Nathan's arms.

"Hi," I smiled going on my tiptoes and hugging him.

"Hey," he greeted hugging me tightly. "You look beautiful."

"Thanks," I blushed a little, as I saw he was wearing dark rinsed jeans and a black shirt.

"My brothers want to see you," he rolled his eyes.

"Of course," I smiled. Nathan led out into the garden when I saw Mason and Kendall with a beer each.

""Gretch!" They said in unison as they bombarded me.

"You look hot," Kendall smirked.

"You don't look too bad yourself," I laughed as I felt Nathan's grip on my waist tighten.

"I'll get you a drink," Mason smiled as he disappeared into the house and reappeared with a cup in his hands and passed it to me.

"Thanks," I muttered knocking the drink straight down me.

"Jeeze Gretch, anyone would think your drinking for a reason," Mason laughed with Kendall.

"Mmm..."

"Gretchen?" Nathan asked turning me round to face him.

"I'm fine," I smiled "Let me just go find my brother quick." I lied. I walked back into the house and bumped into Taylor again.

"There you are!" Taylor smiled "You drunk yet?"

"Nope...can you get me something strong?" I asked her.

"Sure, stay right there!" She demanded as she hurried off. The truth was I did want to get drunk. What with Daniel being on my mind more than two times this week had played havoc with my emotional state and to be honest I thought getting drunk would wipe it from my mind, at least for tonight.

"Here," Taylor shoved a full cup of liquid in my hand and I didn't hesitate to down it.

"Here's another," she handed me one more.

"Thanks," I slurred a little feeling a little boost of confidence as I downed the second cup.

"Where were you earlier?" She asked.

"Blake brothers." I replied steadying myself by holding onto her shoulder. Taylor studied me for a moment then a huge grin spread across her face.

"Oh I see what your trying to do!" She smirked.

"And what exactly do you think your doing? I mean I'm doing..." I hiccupped.

"Yeah your definitely drunk now," she laughed "and you wanted to get drunk enough to be brave to kiss Nathan!" She smirked.

"No!" I laughed.

"Your totally lying!" She laughed too.

"Look shut up and lets get me one of them drinks again and then I'll take you to the Blake brothers," I smirked.

"Deal." She smiled as she led me off.

With a fresh drink in my hand I wobbly led Taylor outside and over to the Blake boys as I'd promised.

"Boys!" I called quickly glancing back at Taylor. "This is Taylor, and Taylor this is Kendall and this is Mason." I pointed.

"Wrong way round Gretch..." Kendall sniggered.

"You drunk?" Mason asked with a smile playing on his lips.

"Pffftttt noooo...." I giggled leaning on Taylor.

"Gretchen." Nathan took my hands and led me away from the others to somewhere quieter in the garden. "Why did you get yourself drunk?"

"Why not." I shrugged "Free country."

"Your 17." He said sternly.

"Since when did you become Bellamy?" I rolled my eyes and rejoined the others.

"Taylor was telling us about the bikini," Kendall laughed.

"Fucking hell, I bet its uglyyyyy." I moaned, dragging my words out.

"No trust me Gretch," Mason smirked which earned a glare from Nathan.

"Lets dance!" I shouted at the top of my lungs suddenly taking Taylor's hands and leading her to where the speakers were outside and started dancing. Kendall and Mason joined us after a while and we danced for what felt like hours and hours. Taylor gave me secret drinks as Nathan had rudely banded me from drinking anymore as he watched closely from the bench he was sitting at.

Pulling away from the mass of bodies moving in the garden I stumbled my way over to Nathan as he stood to greet me.

"Your more drunk now then you were when you begun to dance." He said in a monotone voice.

"Maybe..." I smiled a cheeky smile.

"Gretchen, your brother is here and he'll be checking on you soon. Not to mention that when he see's you with me he'll hate me even more." Bellamy sighed holding my waist so I wouldn't fall over.

"But I needed to get drunk..." I whispered.

"Why Gretch?" He asked gently.

"Because of....."

"Who?"

"I'm tired." I sighed "I hate feeling like this Nathan...." I huffed allowing tears to form in my eyes.

"Come on," Nathan led me back to the quiet place in the garden and we sat on the floor, I quickly kicked off my heels and laid back on the grass. I stared up at the stars with Nathan beside me.

"The stars are pretty." I commented, slurring my words a little.

"They are." Nathan agreed "Gretch, do you feel the need to get drunk for attention?"

"No."

"Then why?"

"I told you..." I huffed.

"No you didn't." Nathan shuffled a little closer to me and I decided to rest my head on his chest.

"Just someone."

"Someone?" He questioned stroking my hair.

"Mmhmmm...." I hummed staring at the stars and entwining my legs with his.

"Who?" Nathan whispered softly. I raised my head to look in to Nathan's eyes.

"No one you know." I whispered staring at the reflection in his eyes and slowly leaning in. Nathan leant in a little too, then the butterflies started in my stomache when I realised what was happening to me I just lightly kissed Nathan on the cheek.

"Thank you...honestly." I smiled as I burried my head in his chest.

"Its fine," Nathan whispered. I was enjoying this moment, as drunk as I was this was too much of a precious moment to forget. However, all of a sudden I felt my stomache do twists and flips. I sat up in a shot and held my stomache.

"Gretch?" Nathan sat up beside me.

"I'm fine...." I muttered as I sat up on my knees.

"Are you sure Gretch?"

"Yeah." I mumbled standing up. "I need more drink..."

"You just said you hated feeling like this and your tired then you want to go back for more?" Nathan stood.

"It's a fucking party," I threw my hands up in the air.

"I don't fucking believe you!" Nathan raised his voice.

"Whatever." I huffed grabbing my shoes as I made my way back over to Taylor, Kendall and Mason.

"Ew gross." I rolled my eyes as I saw Kendall kissing Taylor. "Don't eat her fucking face off."

"Just because your jealous." Kendall pulled away quickly.

"Oh look a pig flying." I rolled my eyes as I pointed to the sky laughing.

"You lost lover boy?" Mason asked.

"Not in the party spirit," I rolled my eyes as I looked over my shoulder and saw him come towards us. "Here comes Mr.LifeOfTheParty now," I rolled my eyes sarcastically as Mason laughed.

"Your funny when your drunk," Mason whispered just as Nathan arrived.

"Gretch, I'm-"

"I'm getting a drink as I dropped my shoes and headed back into the house. Pushing my way through grinding bodies and people making out I made it alive to the drinks table, grabbing whatever I could find I decided to go for a pee.

"Need a pee..." I muttered to myself as I started thinking how unfair it is that girls can't just pee anywhere unlike boys can. Making my way through people I noticed a familiar figure, it looked like my brother but he seemed to be latched onto someone's face. A girls face. A surge of something powered through me, jealousy maybe? I may be his little sister but he was the backbone of my life and I anything were to happen to him my life would not be worth living. So seeing him so engrossed in this other girl, kinda did make me jealous, knowing that I wasn't the only girl in his life, and I wanted to be. I didn't want my brother to walk off into the sunset with a slut and leave me behind all broken longing after Daniel. Hell no. I was not having this.

"What the fuck do you think your doing!?" I shouted pulling them apart.

"What the fuck!" Slutty McSlut shouted.

"I think you'll find I used that phrase first." I shot her and evil death stare.

"Gretch what are you doing?" Bellamy asked.

"Yeah what the hells your problem!?" She shouted.

"Your my problem! Throwing your weight around, thinking you own my brother."

"What are you talking about?" She glared at me.

"I'm saying that I am the priority here not you!" I yelled back.

"Gretchen your drunk." Bellamy stated.

"Pfft I'm not drunk your drunk. Have you seen the slapper your kissing?" I rolled my eyes.

"Slapper?" She folded her arms across her chest.

"Victoria, she's my sister and she's drunk lets just leave it." Bellamy looked to her.

"No she's a low life drunk that likes attention."

"Victoria!" Bellamy grabbed her arm.

"You did not just call me that." I laughed.

"Get off!" Victoria slapped Bellamy's hands away then glared at me just before bringing her hand up to slap me but Bellamy caught her hand.

"Hell no you were about to hit me!" I shouted as I brought my hand up and slapped her round the face. Victoria battled Bellamy off her, grabbed my hair and started pulling it in all directions.

"You fucking bitch!" She shouted, as I grabbed her hair.

"You fight like such a girl!" I yelled as I brought my fist up and punched her in the stomach forcing her to let go of my hair.

"Gretch!" Bellamy shouted as he reached for me but I managed to duck and push him away. I shoved Victoria hard against the wall as tried to grab my hair again. Suddenly I felt strong arms wrap round my body and lift me off the floor away from bitch face whom I also saw being carried away by my brother.

"Get off me!" I screamed in protest as I was carried outside.

"What the fuck do you think your doing starting fights like that!" Nathan shouted as he let go of me.

"She fucking started it!"

"Gretchen Rousso!" Bellamy boomed from behind me.

"What!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.

"What do you think your playing at? Starting a fight with my girlfriend for doing nothing?" Bellamy demanded.

"You just don't get it! None of you fucking get it!" I cried out as I turned and ran. The garden was pretty big so I guessed I could find a secluded spot and hide.

***

Half an hour had passed and finally I saw the distant figure of my brother jogging towards me. I shot up and started walking in the opposite direction as quick as I could.

"There's no use running Gretch." Bellamy called over.

"I can try."

"No you won't." He stopped behind me. "Can you explain please? I can't help you if you don't talk to me Gretchen. Why did you do that?"

"Because. Your the only one in my life I fully trust. The only boy I can deffiently count on 100% that you'll be there for me. I just didn't want you to be falling in love too quickly and running off into the sunset leaving me behind. I mean who's going to be there for me? My parents? Fat chance of that happening." I sobbed.

"Gretch..." Bellamy spun me around and engulfed me in a hug. "I'm going no where you hear me? I'm rooted to you okay? No other girl can break the bond that we have."

"I feel selfish now..." I muttered in his chest.

"It is a little unfair that I can't have a girlfriend," Bellamy chuckled.

"You can!" I pulled back so I could look at him "Just don't do stuff like that in front of me." I smiled a little.

"Got it."

"Plus I'm a little drunk." I added.

"A little? More like an overload." Bellamy rolled his eyes as he wrapped his arm round my waist and guided me back to the party. "Anyway I'm taking you home."

"Okay..." I smiled leaning my head on his chest as we walked.

"Although I think you should speak to Nathan first." Bellamy said nodding his head in Nathan's direction.

"I thought you didn't like him?"

"I don't but he pulled you away from the fight so I owe him." Bellamy said as he pushed me a little in Nathan's direction as he held back.

"I'm sorry." I said as soon I was in earshot of Nathan.

"But why Gretch." He sighed.

"I guess I just don't like that fact that my brother could have loved her more than me." I shrugged.

"I've heard of the jealous ex but not the jealous little sister." He mocked a little.

"I know," I smiled a little "Guess I'm changing the history books." I shrugged.

"You sure are." He smiled back.

"Do you forgive me?"

"Yes," he smiled as he pulled me in for a hug. "I know something's been bothering you since the night you left my house upset and I just want to let you know you can tell me anything in confidence." He added quietly. Pulling away I nervously nodded a little and walked away back to my brother.

"What did he do?" Bellamy asked his eyes firmly on me.

"He knows something's wrong with me. That I've been acting strange since the other night." I muttered.

"Stay right here." Bellamy muttered as he sauntered over to Nathan.

"Listen, thanks for being there for my sister. But some old wounds have resurfaced and she's finding things difficult. That's all I'll say." Bellamy watched Nathan carefully.

"Of course. I'm here for Gretchen, I want you to know that." Nathan nodded in respect. Bellamy nodded in agreement and turned and walked away.

"Time to get you home." He smiled down at me.
