The Last Secret Part 1

Hornet: (narrating) 4.5 billion years ago, an astral body the size of Mars slammed into the Earth. The debris that flew from our planet became stuck in Earth's gravity and formed our moon. That's right. The moon is just a part of the Earth, separated forever, always drawn back towards us, longing to reconnect. It is said to increase fertility, create chaos and cause people to do things they would never normally do. No one knows why things get so weird when the moon is full, why it makes people act so crazy. All I know is that on this night, the one night you need to be ready for anything is a night when the moon is full.

Intro

Mr. Wolf: Yeah! I'm bad!

Mr. Snake: You're bad!

Ms. Tarantula: He's bad!

Mr. Hornet: She's bad!

Mr. Piranha: We're bad!

Mr. Shark: Who's bad?

The Bad Guys: Yeah!
We're the Bad Guys!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At the Bad Guys' hideout, tonight would be an exciting night. It's movie night! And the Bad Guys were getting ready to make themselves comfortable before watching some movies. They had to gather some good snacks that would last all night, a bunch of movies that they can possibly watch, and some pillows and blankets just in case they might fall asleep in the middle of a movie.

Wolf was popping popcorn seeds in a pan with its cover on top to prevent the popcorn from spilling out, "Alright, guys. We need a lot of popcorn for that movie night, tonight!" he announced while putting the popcorn in a large bowl

Snake groaned in exhaustion as he replaced the popcorn bowl with an empty one for Wolf to fill, "I do need a movie night, after the weird day that had happened yesterday."

Wolf snickered, "Come on, Snake. We all didn't want that to happen."

"Uh, no, you want that to happen. We know one of us didn't want that to happen."

"Oh, he'll thank me later what those two are together. Trust me, I know what I'm doing."

"Huh, the last time we trust you, or at least, HE trust you was when you bailed on us at the gala."

"Ugh, now you're sounding just like Hornet. Get over it!"

"A year is not going to let me get over it. It's not over, Wolf!"

While Wolf and Snake argued in the kitchen, Tarantula was carrying a tower of CD movies while crawling across the room, and Shark brought dozens of pillows and blankets to get ready for movie night.

Piranha, however, just standing there while holding a plate of nachos. He kept Horneting around the room; Horneting at Wolf snickering and Snake scolding; Horneting at Tarantula placing the CDs beside the CD player while wiping her forehead. Piranha's face Hornetted to sweat, and he looked dumbfounded and uncomfortable.

"Hey, Piranha," Shark's voice was heard as he was standing next to Piranha, "Whatcha doin'?"

"Shark, can I ask you something? Why are our friends acting like everything's normal?" Piranha asked.

'Cause everything's normal," Shark got himself a nacho from the plate Piranha was holding, and ate it, "Mm, you should try those. They're delicious."

"You know what? You can have it," Piranha gave Shark the plate of nachos, "I can't eat. My guts... ugh... are all... blah. You know what I mean?"

"Is this all 'cause of what happened a few days ago about the rumors on the news?" The master-of-disguise guessed.

Piranha groaned embarrassingly as that rumor was still the talk of the week, He rubbed his face and eyes roughly, "Everything's just all super weird with Hornet! I just want things to be normal."

"Things will be going back to normal, little buddy," Shark chuckled while eating some nachos, and ruffled the little fish's head fins.

"You think so?" Piranha asked worryingly.

Meanwhile, Hornet slightly opened his bedroom door to check on things. He was in his room all day, and didn't want to get close to Piranha. Things got awkward this past week. The same rumor was still discussed throughout the whole of Los Angeles, and he didn't want to show himself in public, or he'll get a lot of questions while having awkward moments with Piranha around.

So, this was the first time he came out of his room for the whole day, and this was his chance to face Piranha after trying to avoid him for days since the rumors spread. Hornet flew out of the room, trying not to get any distractions, and saw Piranha with Shark. He gasped when he saw his crush. He tried to fly away in another direction, but his mind made him stop himself.

"No!" Hornet took a deep breath, and exhaled, "Be classy," he flew towards Shark and Piranha, and exclaimed, "Hello, friends!"

"What's up, Hornet? You having fun?" Shark asked happily, wanting Hornet to feel normal tonight.

"Oh, yeah. Totally. Hmm," Hornet chuckled hysterically with one of his eyes twitching.

Shark stared at Hornet, and noticed his bug friend wasn't feeling alright. He glanced at Piranha, who started at Hornet awkwardly. Knowing these two needed some time alone to face the awkwardness, Shark excused himself while giving Piranha the plate of nachos back to him, "Why don't you two talk for a while? I better help Webs pick some movies for tonight," he waved at Piranha and Hornet before walking off.

Now that Piranha and Hornet were alone, standing face-to-face to each other, they didn't have the words to share with each other. Their words were stuck in their throats, and their mouths were still shut. Things got even more awkward when none of them started talking.

"Cool night, huh?"

"So how are you?"

Piranha and Hornet spontaneously asked each other in unison.

"Oh, sorry," Piranha apologized

"No-no-no-no, please. You go first," Hornet insisted

"What did you say?" Piranha inquired while Hornet chuckled nervously.

"Sooo..."

"Um..."

"You look well," Hornet commented. This was the first time he spoke to Piranha normally.

"Oh, heh-heh, thanks. I brushed my head fins," Piranha answered. That was the only thing he could tell Hornet.

Another silent awkward moment between them for a second while staring at each other.

"...Well, great catching up!" Hornet said smilingly.

"Yeah. See ya around..., buddy," Piranha lightly poked Hornet's shoulder as a way to playfully punch him.

Piranha stuck his fin out for a fist bump, and Hornet stuck his mitten hand up for a high-five. But seeing that they had a different hand gestures. Hornet put his open hand on top of Piranha's fist. The two forced into laughter very nervously and awkwardly.

At the moment, Piranha and Hornet released their hands from each other, and rushed away.

Hornet found himself in front of the fridge, and groaned loudly. That was completely awkward. This didn't feel usual. He couldn't help himself. Hornet wanted to feel normal again around Piranha, like how they used to. But because of the rumors, he just couldn't feel any less awkward anymore. This wasn't the first time he felt this awkward, but this one was so heavy!

If only he needed someone to talk to. He couldn't tell his friends in this group; Wolf was the reason he and Piranha had gotten into this mess; Snake wasn't into romance; Shark was already comforting Piranha, and he had enough telling Tarantula about his insecurities.

Hornet groaned as he flew back into his room, and closed the door behind him so no one would know what he was doing right now. He wore his helmet on the bed, typed a message on the screen with his wireless keyboard, and sent it to the people he could trust about his situation.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One of Hornet's co-workers, Nickel, was washing his hands while singing "Happy Birthday" until he received a notification on his phone. He quickly sang Happy Birthday in speed mode before wiping his hands with a towel, taking his phone, and rushing away.

Another one of Hornet's co-workers, Rusty, was doing an experiment in his "evil lab", and was about to pour a liquid into a test tube, when he heard his phone buzzed. When he turned the lights on, his "evil lab" was actually his basement as this was the place where he does his experiment on new kinds of food flavors for Mr. and Mrs. Gardener. He looked at his phone, and when he saw it was urgent, he quickly dropped his test tubes, and rushed up the stairs to the door.

Another co-worker, Rusty, was in the middle of watching a horror movie as he laughed at the scene. When he received a text from Hornet, he quickly pour all of his popcorn into his mouth, jumped off the couch, and rushed away.

A female co-worker, Dusk, was having a dare with a guy, until he got a text from Hornet. She quickly bailed on her dare, living the guy with the lobsters that Dusk ordered.

In her home, Mira was all alone as Mariposa was with her dad around this day of the week. She got nothing else to do but make some tea... until she heard a buzz from her phone. She took it out from her pocket, and noticed Hornet was texting her. Mira formed a smile on his face. Finally, she won't be alone tonight.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hornet and the other 5 decided to meet at the abandoned FasTogether restaurant, which was closed for renovation after the kitchen and the counter was burned, but it was still good for a hiding place. The lights and some appliances were still good, so they were good for use in the meantime.

Hornet was pacing around while his friends kept their eyes on him while he was moving around, "So now, Piranha and I can barely make eye contact because of that stupid rumor. I mean, Piranha actually thinks I have a crush on him," he laughed hysterically.

"Yeah, but, like... don't you, though?" Dusk asked.

What?! No!" Hornet answered in denial and stammered before admitting, "Okay, maybe once."

Daxton, the dumb one, gasped happily in excitement.

"But I don't anymore," Hornet said, much to Daxton's disappointment.

"I just think he's kinda cute. I think lots of things are cute. Puppies are cute, kitties are cute, Pride flags are cute—" Hornet counted the things that were cute with his fingerless hands.

Mira cut her off as she said, "Hornet, it's cool. We believe you."

All of Hornet's co-workers and Mira gathered around to comfort the little bug as Hornet leaned himself on Mira's shoulder.

"I just want things to go back to normal," Hornet then turned to Rusty while grasping his shirt, "What if they never do, Rusty? What if they never do?"

"Dude, don't freak out. Maybe you two just need some space," Rusty advised, "Like me and Jamie, we're on our third break this week.

"Come on, Hornet. Let's ditch this place and go to the party other bad people are having. I heard it's super dangerous, just like you did as a Bad Guy," Nickel suggested

"Oh! Hornet, you know what? You love danger, and you still do!" Daxton added with an exciting tone.

"That is true," Hornet admitted, feeling unsure.

"Boom! You're in! Let's go!" Mira gently grabbed Hornet by the wings with her fingers, and take him with her, and the 4 co-workers joined them.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When Mira drove Hornet and his co-workers to Boyle Heights, she parked the car on the sidewalk, and Hornet, Mira, Nickel, Rusty, Daxton, and Dusk got out of the car to see a lot of people having a party

"Wooooow!" the sixsome gaped in awe.

A lot of people were in one place where they sat down by the fireplace, playing rock music as others danced, burning alcohol bottles in a drum of fire, drinking beer, flirting with other people, and drifting cars on the street.

"Look at that! Campfire in a drum, and street takeovers! So dangerous!" Daxton screamed like he was part of the club.

"Is that legal?" Hornet inquired concerningly.

"Since when do you follow the law? I thought you were one of the Bad Guys," Nickel chuckled.

"I am a Bad Guy, and I still am, but..."

"Oh, come on, Mr. Hornet, you need to loosen up. Here. take this bottle of liquor, and throw it into the fire," Dusk took a bottle of liquor, and handed it to Hornet.

Hornet tried to carry the bottle as it was a little heavy, but he managed with just his little arms. He flew all the way into the drum with fire, and threw the bottle into it. The fire got a little bigger for a second before shrinking back to its normal size. Instead of being excited about this, Hornet didn't feel anything fun as he turned to his friends, and said, "Yeah, I don't feel anything. You guys were so awesome to bring me here, but I just don't think I'm in a party mood right now."

"No, I'm not like that," Dusk whined

"You guys stay and have fun with your controlled burn. I'll see you guys tomorrow."

Hornet was about to leave, but Mira blocked his way, "Hornet, we came here to clear your mind about Piranha. Come on. Maybe a little juice won't hurt," Mira took out a glass of colored liquid. Hornet looked at the glass worryingly, thinking it might be alcohol or beer, "It's okay, it's not alcohol," Mira assured him.

Hornet grabbed the glass with both his little arms, and took a small sip. Mira was right. It wasn't alcohol, just orange juice. He looked back at his friends, who all smiled excitedly at his decision. Hornet didn't want to join the party, but he didn't want to go back home yet, not with this awkward moment still spreading in the air. He then told his friends, "Alright, I'll stay."

Mira, Nickel, Rusty, Daxton, and Dusk cheered and yelled happily as they dragged Hornet into the party.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, back in the Bad Guys' hideout, Piranha was adding more nachos in a huge bowl for movie night, but he didn't feel motivated lately since the weird feeling with Hornet. When he was about to pour the cheese, Piranha bumped his head on the counter, and groaned loudly.

Shark then came through to check on his little brother-figure, and helped Piranha remove his face from the counter.

"Don't tell me you're still thinking about that awkward moment between you and Hornet," Shark guessed.

"Ugh, I don't know, Shark. Things just felt wrong." Piranha admitted.

"Piranha!" Wolf then cut in to see the little "muscle" of the team, "There you are! I've been looking for you if you got those nachos we needed for movie night. How are you?"

"Feelin' pretty great, Wolf," Piranha answered in deadpanned, lying that he was fine.

"Hey, where's your partner in crime?" Wolf asked.

"Who?" Piranha questioned without understanding what Wolf was asking about.

"Hornet, Piranha. I was talking about Hornet," Wolf reminded, which snapped Piranha from his train of thoughts and awkward thoughts about Hornet. Now Piranha remembered about Hornet being his partner-in-crime, "You know, Hornet is a tough criminal, just like you. I haven't heard any reports from him Is he okay?" The leader asked.

Piranha groaned annoyingly, "Thanks to you, things are a bit weird between us right now."

"What could be weird? Two guys who had a thing for each other while sharing a home? There's nothing weird with that," Wolf chuckled as he ruffled Piranha's headfins, If things are weird, it's always good to talk it out. I feel great talking right now, and I don't even have a problem."

"Thanks, Wolf, but I don't want to talk about it because you caused this whole mess!"

"De nada!" Wolf just felt proud of himself as he took the large bowl of nachos, and walked off.

Piranha whined as he slouched on the counter while Shark patted his back to comfort him.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Back at the street takeover, Hornet was actually driving a car where he held the wheel, and kept it turned to the left, and the car was drifting in circles. Due to Hornet being so small to drive the car, he only stayed on the wheel while a piece of brick was placed on the accelerator. The car caused a lot of screeching sounds and big smokes blowing by the wind.

A lot of people and Hornet's friends were cheering for him. They never saw the smallest member of the Bad Guys who would do crazy tricks with a car before. For Hornet, he never knew he would do this. It was so fun to do activities on his own once in a while, even though they were a bit dangerous, even for him.

Hornet finally stopped the car, almost hitting other people and his friends. The screeching still echoes in the area, and the smoke was still thick. Everyone yelled, screamed, and cheered for Hornet for his amazing trick. It was only a simple circle drifting trick, but for a small bug, he was pretty impressive.

The car door opened, and Hornet flew out of the car with the brick off the accelerator. The little bug felt a little dizzy as he flew in circles like a fly, and his eyes went all rolling.

"Whoo! I got the dizzies!" Hornet said as he tried to fly towards his friends, who were cheering for him.

Dusk held him lightly, which snapped his vision back to normal, "You did great, Hornet!"

"I never knew you can drive like that," Rusty added.

"Well, Wolf had been teaching, and I put a brick on the pedals when I want to move the car," Hornet explained, "You know, guys, I usually do trouble stuff with my friends..., especially Piranha."

"Oh no. Not the Mr. Piranha thoughts again," Daxton whispered worryingly.

"I mean, he is the toughest and funniest guy around, especially when he kicks butt!" Hornet sighed dreamingly, "That's what I like about him."

Mira, Nickel, Rusty, Daxton, and Dusk looked at Hornet with concern. They thought making Hornet leave home for a moment while doing fun and "illegal" activities would take his mind off of Piranha, but they made it worst. All of these illegal rough activities made Hornet remind him of his crush. They never thought of this through, Piranha is the toughest member of the Bad Guys, and all of these activities matched Piranha's characteristics that made Hornet think of him.

Mira sighed as she knew this plan would never make Hornet forget his feelings for Piranha as he wanted to tell her friends, "Umm, Hornet?"

Hornet looked at Mira, waiting for her to say something to him.

Before the journalist could finish, the sound of the police siren was heard as few police cars arrived on the streets. All of the people who participated in these rowdy activities gasped at the sight of police cars.

Chief Luggins came out of her car, and shouted through the megaphone, "This is the police! There has been a noise complaint around here."

"Everybody, run for it!" One of the people shouted as everyone else started to run.

Some police ran out of their cars to chase after them.

Hornet, Mira, Nickel, Rusty, Daxton, and Dusk managed to escape from the police when they got into the car quickly with Hornet in the passenger seat, Mira at the driver seat, and the 4 co-workers in the back seat. Mira turned the car on, and drive away. The six sighed in relief that they came out alright.

"Wow, is it me or I just ran away from the authorities?" Nickel looked nervous. He escaped from the authorities for the first time. Now he became a criminal!

"That was the best time of my life. Whoo!" Daxton screamed happily as Hornet, Mira, Rusty, and Dusk chuckled

"Gotta hand it to you, Hornet. Being around you, you totally livened up our lives!" Dusk commented on her tiny co-worker.

Hornet felt flattered, "I... I do?"

"We thought you're a small but dangerous and murderous monster, but... you weren't so bad," Rusty complimented.

"Yeah, we should hang out sometimes while the restaurant was still under renovation," Daxton suggested as Hornet formed a warm smile.

"Yeah, maybe we should. Maybe this won't be so bad after all," Nickel admitted

"We're off to a pretty great start on this friendship already!" Dusk exclaimed.

Hornet's co-workers used to be afraid of him before, just like everyone who used to be afraid of all the Bad guys, but then, they gave themselves a chance to know Hornet pretty well since they met him at FasTogether, but everything turned out great.

Hopefully, it'll turn out pretty great for Hornet with Piranha around, despite the rumors that happened lately, "Yeah. I guess there's just one thing to take care of."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Later, Hornet went home to the Bad Guys' hideout. He took the window of his bedroom so no one would wonder where I had been.

When Hornet came out of the room, the first thing laid his eyes on was Piranha, who was with the other Bad Guys, trying to pick a movie from Tarantula's CD collection.

All right, Hornet, let's get awkward," Hornet told himself.

While Piranha was waiting for his friends to choose a movie, he could hear Hornet's voice behind him, "Hey, Piranha, you got a sec?"

"Hornet?" Piranha walked towards him without letting the other Bad Guys know what was going on.

"I have to tell you something."

"We need to talk."

Once again, Piranha and Hornet told each other in unison as they chuckled nervously for another awkward moment for speaking in unison.

"Let's go somewhere more quiet," Hornet grabbed Piranh's hand, and dragged him towards the stairs between Sake's room and another vault. They both sat on the steps, and now they were alone.

"Okay..." Hornet inhaled deeply, "Piranha, I know things have been 'different'."

"Definitely 'different'," Piranha agreed.

"I wanted to talk to you after the rumors, but I feel like we've been avoiding each other."

"Oh, I've definitely been avoiding you."

"Yeah, me, too," Hornet said sadly, "I guess I just got scared that everything would change and that you didn't want to be friends anymore, and I miss the way things used to be, and, and...!"

"Hornet." Piranha laid a fin on Hornet's back. "I miss the way things used to be, too."

Hornet gaped, "You do?"

"Yeah. You're my best friend. But... but do you have a crush on me?" Piranha asked. He wanted to make sure of that because he was expecting something from Hornet that Piranha didn't want to pressure him about.

"Uhhh..." Hornet wanted to speak the truth, but all he wanted was to avoid tension between him and Piranha as he answered. "No. I don't.

Piranha felt a little heartbroken right there, "But the rumors..."

"Piranha, you're my friend, and I just want to have an awesome time with my friend," It might hurt a bit that Hornet was lying to his best friend, but this was the only way to save their friendship.

Well, that was it. I guess their relationship would be saved if they were just friends. Piranha accepted it. If Hornet wanted to be just friends, then it'll be like this from now on. "Friend?"

"Friend," Hornet said as the two shared a hug.

Behind each other's backs, Piranha felt distraught, but he felt that things were not meant to be like he expected, but he had to put on a brave face for Hornet. Hornet almost shed a tear, but he wiped it out with a spare hand as he didn't want to show Piranha that he was sad about this decision, but he still had to keep his feelings to remain best friends with his crush as long as possible.

After the hug, the only face they saw from each other was smiles. Guess it was worth it.

"Well, maybe let's just forget the rumors ever happened," Piranha said.

"What rumor?! I never heard of it!" Hornet pretended he never heard of the rumor, just like how they agreed.

Piranha chuckled, "You know, I think we deserve a lot of time together as best friends."

"That sounds great," Hornet agreed.

Piranha smiled back as he clicked his tongue while pointing his mitten hand at Hornet and winking at him before walking away to join the others to get ready for movie night.

When Piranha looked away, Hornet could finally drop the smiley face, and whispered sadly, "Great."

Hornet went back to his room as quietly as possible so he won't draw any attention from his friends. When he closed the door, he kept staring at it, and felt disappointed in himself for lying to Piranha and bottling his feelings for him. Beings friends was better than being a lover of a different species than him. It was for the best.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Unbeknownst to him, there was someone else in his bedroom. In his bed, a figure came out from the shadow, revealing to be Professor Marmalade, who was still wearing his prison uniform

"Well, that talk went backfired," the guinea pig spoke loudly.

Hornet was startled as he turned around to see the guinea pig who almost destroyed his family,

"Professor Marmalade?!"

"Hello, Mr. Hornet," Marmalade greeted politely.

"What are you doing here? How did you get here? And I thought you were in prison," Hornet glared at him.

"I got my own way to escape. I can't go to jail without finishing my important project," Marmalade confessed.

"I'm telling my friends, and we'll throw you back to jail where you belong!" Hornet held the doorknob, ready to twist it to open the door to report to his friends about the escape.

"Go ahead! Tell them I'm here, and I'll tell them your big secret," the guinea pig said.

This made Hornet stop. He knew he had more secrets that he didn't tell his friends, but Marmalade has no proof of it. He never told that guinea pig his secrets, "What secret? I had enough of keeping secrets from my friends for a long time. I never kept any secrets from them anymore."

"Really? What about when you were some kind of experiment?" Marmalade mentioned.

"How did you–?" Hornet was about to ask him how he would know about that kind of secret. But with the smirk on Marmalade's face, Hornet could read what was in his mind, "Wait," He put the pieces of the puzzle together, and figured the truth, "It... it was you? You owned that lab I was captured in?"

"Not just any lab. The lab that you and your friends broke into last year, the lab I assigned you to do a good deed," Marmalade recalled about last year's heist at the Sunnyside Lab.

"You owned the Sunnyside Lab all along? But why? Why would you own a lab that would experiment with animals?" Hornet then placed a hand on his chest, feeling the life gem on his metallic thorax, "And... you knew about the life gem? Why would you make something like this? And how come I've never seen you before?"

"I was making money, Mr. Hornet. I was also doing something good for nature and other animals. I didn't do all the dirty work. I hired a lot of scientists to do the work for me, and once I made a lot of profit, I paid them to keep their work a secret."

"What about the life gem? Why did you make them?"

"That's part of the good deeds I want to do. I want to maintain my image as a good Samaritan. Still, I can't tell the whole world it was I who invented the life gem, but I like to take credit for saving other animals' lives by making their lifespan longer. And someday, when the animal life gem project is a success, then it'll be humans next."

"You know this is illegal, right?

"I won't get caught as long as nobody knows the truth. That's why I invented the life gem in secret, Mr. Hornet. Once the government finds the life gems are too dangerous, then I would declare to destroy them, but they'll never know that I intend to keep them by not just giving them to any living creatures, but to myself! They'll declare me a hero when I fool them into destroying those life gems while I still continue my work!" Marmalade turned to the window why chuckling sinisterly.

Hornet gaped horrifyingly, "Wow, you're not just a hypocrite, you're insane! I better tell my friends, and I don't care if you tell them about my life gem or the worst experience of my life in that lab!" He turned around, and grabbed the doorknob again.

"Sure. I'll let you tell your friends. It made me wonder what would they think when they realize you had been keeping that secret for a long long time," Marmalade mentioned, making Hornet turn to him with a glare, "What would they think that they were friends with a test subject? I don't think they want to stay friends with an odd test subject like you."

Hornet suddenly looked down, imagining what would his friends react to this.

Marmalade gasped dramatically as he mentioned this, "What Mr. Piranha would say too?"

Now this worried Hornet. He finally fixed things with Piranha, but now things would get worse between the two if Piranha finds out about another one of Hornet's secrets. Marmalade was right; what would his friends say about the life gem? What would Piranha say? Hornet let his hand drop from the knob. He didn't want the only family he got to disown him when they learn about his secret as an experiment, and this life gem would make him more or less immortal. He would be like a freak or a weirdo to the team. Most importantly, he kept this a secret from them. He already kept a lot of secrets, and didn't want to ruin his friends' trust in him for keeping another secret. But then again, he kept another one that is too important and too serious for him.

Marmalade continued, "Face it, Mr. Hornet. You already lose everything. I don't think there's anything for you here. Your purpose now is to continue to be my test subject, 22."

That was the name that he had never been called for 4 years, "I will never be your test subject again," Hornet glared sharply at the guinea pig.

Marmalade growled. Hornet was too strong to think about his friend's opinion. He would accept being disowned, but he would never want to be a test subject again, "Well, if you don't care what your friends think, I guess I'll hurt them instead."

"Don't you dare touch my friends!" Hornet screamed angrily, flying towards Marmalade's face, and pointed his stinger at him, "I remember what you did to us and Snake. I won't let you do that again!"

"I don't need to, as long as you come with me, and complete my experiment," Marmalade suggested, "Your choice, 22."

Hornet thought about it, and he thought he had a choice. But if he won't go with this crazy guinea pig, he would hurt his friends for real, and he was serious with his words. Hornet could tell by Marmalade's smirk.

Hornet sighed in defeat, and laid his stinger down, "I need two minutes."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hornet headed outside of his room, and shut the door behind him. There, he saw the other Bad Guys finally pick a movie for them to watch.

Without waiting time, he has to tell someone something. Someone like Piranha. He hesitated a bit, but he didn't have enough time left to hesitate. "Piranha!" Hornet shouted out loud

The other Bad Guys gasped in shock at how loud Hornet shouted like that.

"Ooh, loud," Tarantula commented.

Piranh turned around as Hornet got his attention, "Hornet"

"Piranha, we need to talk. Just one last time," Hornet said.

"Is everything okay? You shouted pretty loud. Everybody's just staring at us," Piranha stated while pointing out that Wolf, snake, Shark, and Tarantula were staring at them right now, and it was very uncomfortable.

"Yeah, I know. But some stuff just came up, and I've only got a little time."

"What? Why? We have a lot of time to ourselves together."

"Piranha, I don't know how to tell you this, because you're my best friend..."

"Hornet?"

"...and that makes this super weird because..."

"What's wrong?"

"...because I..." Hornet started to stammer as he stared at Piranha, who had that concerned look on his face. Hornet then looked at the rest of his friends, who were waiting for what he was about to say, "I..." Hornet couldn't hold it anymore as he finally confessed, "I do have a crush on you."

Piranha and the rest of the Bad Guys gasped.

But Wolf already knew that, "Who called it?! I called it!"

Shark was seen to be shocked by this scene as he fainted.

"I called it," Wolf added.

Hornet continued to explain, I didn't want to admit it because I know you don't feel the same way, and I thought if I just pretended the feelings weren't there, they'd go away. But they haven't. I have to leave, probably forever, and I couldn't go without telling you the truth."

Piranha was so speechless to say anything. He wanted to say something because this was what he had wanted to hear, but it was his turn to be nervous and feeling hesitant to tell Hornet his feelings about this confession, "Uh... I, uh..."

But then, Hornet had other thoughts. He thought Piranha was speechless because he didn't feel the same way Hornet was feeling for him, and he was scared of rejection. Hornet didn't need to hear this. He didn't want to hear it from Piranha. He has to go before he had to hear this.

"Goodbye! Goodbye, everyone!" Hornet cried as he flew back into his room, and closed the door.

"Hornet!" Piranha rushed to follow Hornet, "Hey! What do you mean—?" When he opened the door, Piranha noticed that Hornet was nowhere to be seen in his room. All of his stuff was there, but no Hornet.

"Hornet?"

Oooh, I finished this chapter with a cliffhanger! And a big plot twist here too!

Special thanks to TU4QU0I53T4IAN6L3 for helping me with this chapter.

Most parts of the chapter were referenced to Star vs The Forces of Evil: Starcrushed.

The opening where Hornet narrated about the moon was a reference to 9-1-1: Full Moon (Creepy AF).

FasTogether was seen and mentioned since "The Bad Blog" as it was shown to be closed for renovation, but Hornet, Mira, and his 4 co-workers snuck inside for a private meeting.

Nickel, Rusty, Daxton, and Dusk were based on the quadruplets in Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. The 4 were co-workers/friends instead of siblings.

I hope you like this chapter. The next chapter will be out either tomorrow or the day after that. See you soon!
