A SHADOW LOOMED ACROSS THE WORLD AND NO ONE KNEW ABOUT IT. Qetsiyah did though, because she was a part of that shadow. The League of Assassins lurked in the corners and kept the world in balance for so long — killing people who they believed deserved to die. She had been amongst them since she was born and was raised to be the perfect weapon to their cause.

Her birth mother was discovered by the League when she was in a dire state. Sara Lance vanished in a ship wreck, lost to the world, but the League rescued her. Unbeknownst to her, she was pregnant at the time and months later, gave birth to a healthy baby girl.

With his daughter taken to the new arrival and her child, Ra's Al Ghul saw no alternative than to accept them as well. And quickly, young Qestiyah had a family. A strange family that were the leaders of a secret band of assassins, but a family, nonetheless.

And he became exceptionally fond of her after the incident.

When Qetsiyah was but a child, she was transported across the country like a relay baton for a reason she didn't know. And one of those pit stops happened to be Smallville, Kansas. On the day the meteors hit.

Her guide was killed and when Qetsiyah returned to Nanda Parbat, it was discovered she didn't come home empty-handed. For the meteor shower in Smallville had bestowed upon her the gift of umbrakinesis: the ability to manipulate the shadows.

She became their mascot, their weapon. She was Ra's' pride and joy and he was more than willing to accept her legitimacy as his granddaughter once she returned with abilities beyond his wildest dreams. But Nyssa Al Ghul did not like that. She knew her father was caring for the child she loved because he could shape said child to his will.

But there was nothing she could do.

So, for years, the Demon's Head trained Qetsiyah Al Ghul to use her abilities — to see what she was truly capable of. And it became harder to hold him back when Sara disappeared. No one knew where she went, she had vanished into the night without as much as a goodbye. Both Nyssa and Qetsiyah knew something was wrong but there was nothing they could do. Ra's promised he had sent out his people to look, but nothing was reported back. It was like Sara Lance had disappeared off the face of the Earth.

With one less person holding him back, he pushed Qetsiyah harder than he ever had done before. He drew out the animal in her, feeding it, fuelling the beast within. It was non-stop. But then Nyssa had enough.

Going against her father was the stupidest thing she ever could have done. But she wouldn't have changed it for the world. She managed to smuggle Qetsiyah out of Nanda Parbat and to someone loyal to her. But she knew she'd have to stay behind. And that was what happened.

With one mother missing and the other imprisoned, Qetsiyah had no one. She had no idea what to do. But then she remembered the small town in Kansas where she obtained her powers in the first place: Smallville. So, that was where she went.

And as Qetsiyah stumbled through the corn fields surrounding the quaint town, she ended up tripping onto the doorstep of one Lana Lang. Lana, being the kind and generous girl that she was, could not let Qetsiyah continue on her own. Then it was decided that she was to stay with the cheerleader and reclaimed a name she had left behind long ago: Qetsiyah Lance.

But Smallville wasn't your ordinary town and fortunately for it, Qetsiyah was not your ordinary teen. And by attempting to write the wrongs of her past, Qetsiyah meets the one and only Clark Kent. It ended up that she wasn't the only one with secrets to hide and that the young farm boy across the road was in fact a lot more super than previously let on.

- Sara is 'Mum' and Nyssa is 'Ommi' which is an Arabic name for Mother. Sara and Nyssa in this are heavily inspired by the arrowverse.

- She often goes by 'Qetsi' as a nickname.

- Qesti was there during the first meteor shower. She was just travelling with the league and her passing through Smallville coincided with the meteor shower, giving her powers.

- POWERS: She's umbrakinetic. Her powers allow her to manipulate the shadows. She can make them solid and use them to fight. She can travel through shadows - it's how she keeps up with Clark - and can extend them to cover a room if she wishes. Hero name: SHADE

- Lana and Qetsi are besties.

- Qesti, having been born and raised within the League of Assassins, she has INSANE fighting skills. She likes weapons and always proves that you don't need to use powers to fight. 

- In this universe, Sara Lance is Dinah's Aunt. 

- After Qetsiyah got away, Ra's kept his daughter under lock and key and has continuously sent men out to try and find her. After all, she is their ultimate weapon and fighter.

- Qetsi discovers Clark's hiding something first but doesn't realise how big of a secret it is. And he realises she's hiding something too. Takes a little while for them both to admit they're secretly saving people in their town.

- Sara vanished because, like she did in Arrow, she went off with the Legends. Time travel gets tricky and her leaving causes a fixed event as it makes Qetsiyah go to Smallville. She can't change it. Sara turns up as League assassins arrive as they find Qetsiyah. Then Qetsiyah takes a brief break from Smallville to her Mother rescue her Ommi.

- Not too long after Nyssa and Sara go on the run after they rescue the former, she kills her father and becomes the new Demon's Head, making Qetsiyah the heir.

- Nyssa and Sara are being domestic for once after Ra's is gone. 

- Oliver is such a big brother to Qetsi.

- Dinah and Qetsi meeting is super cool. Dinah thought her aunt had died so they're reunited.

- Very far into the show, Nyssa renounces her title as Demon's head making Qetsi the leader of the League of assassins who she then dedicates to saving innocent people.

- Clark and Qetsi are so cute and work so well together. There's an animal inside her, fed by her grandfather, and Clark's the one who calms her, who brings her back to reality.

- A big thing for them is Qetsi controlling her inner killer. When she turned up at Smallville at age 14, she had killed before. Clark helps her with this. After all, she can't hurt him with ordinary blades so if she lashes out, he'll be fine.

- When she's heir to the Demon's head it allows her to summon the league at will and it means they're loyal to her.
