WHEN MARCI ROBERTS LOST HER MOTHER, TWO LIVES WERE ENDED. 

Marci tried to carry on despite her grief, but it was too much. It didn't help that she was forced to leave her home and was sent to live with people she had never met. Everything that happened after losing her mother just crushed her spirit more. And so Marci Roberts lost herself in her grief. She lost the ability to make sound decisions, she just did anything to run away from the pain inside her. 

She fell in with the wrong crowd. Her suffering made her vulnerable so creeps and criminals could pull her amongst their midst. She vandalised, she stole, she did anything they asked hoping the pain would dull. It did not. Even the person she was seeing did not lighten her heart nor help her grief. He did, however, get her pregnant.

With child at fifteen wasn't somewhere Marci Roberts saw herself six months ago, when her mother was still alive. But now that she was, she wasn't about to let go of the only family she now had left. That was something her boyfriend didn't like. It turned out he had lied about his age and now Marci found herself being threatened to either lose the child or lose her life. Marci, not wanting either, fled into the night.

Being chased by a criminal ex-boyfriend was not fun and Marci feared he would never stop. She feared him catching her wasn't a matter of if but a matter of when. 

She was right.

But Marci wouldn't have to go through this alone for Harold Finch's miraculous machine pulled out her number, sending an operative to save Marci before it was too late. None one - except perhaps the machine - knew in that very moment that the man sent after he was actually her father. 

Pregnant and scared, Marci Roberts meets the man she discovers is her father and then the two must continue to live from the shadows and become the family neither of them had had in a long time.

- Marci Roberts is the daughter of John Reese. He didn't know about her until her number came up. 

- Basically, Marci's mum was killed in a pedestrian hit and run. She was placed into the foster system and was in a dark place. She was vulnerable and depressed and allowed herself to be swept up into a bad crowd. She met this guy, he said he was 18 and 15 year-old Marci believed him. After six months of her mother's death, Marci discovers she's pregnant. Turns out, the boyfriend lied and he was 24. He wanted her to have an abortion but despite her circumstances, Marci did not believe it was right for her. And so she fled.

- Marci's number comes up as the ex-boyfriend (you can decide on name) is hunting her and he gets closer to locating her. At the time of her meeting John Reese, she's five months pregnant. The violent ex wanted her to abort as the foetus is evidence of his crime. 

- As John protects Marci, more info on her comes up and he realises he knew her mother, nine months before Marci was born. 

- John's rescue of her happens in the second half of season one (you can decide when) and her and Harold take her in and help her through the last four months of her pregnancy

- Imagine John not telling his cop friends about Marci until Harold calls to tell him he had to take her to the hospital because she's in labour so he's desperate to wrap the case up to go to her (the birth has to be around episode 8 or 9 of season 2)

- She has a son that she names Robin Reese. She named him Robin because Robin is a bird like Finch and Finch helped save her life.

- She goes undercover with Finch at the High School with Caleb and they keep in touch after. Caleb is SO GOOD with little Robin. Dad that stepped up. Just imagining him, when he becomes rich and big, just walking into meetings with Robin as Marci is busy with her Dad and the team

- MAKE CALEB A RECURRING CHARACTER!!! He doesn't know about what Finch and John do, but he knows it's important and he cares about Marci a lot. Also a good babysitter for Robin.

- John obviously teaches his daughter how to defend herself and how to fight.

- Marci is smart. Harold helps her to do an online degree so that she can stay in the shadows, raise her son and still get an education.

- John was not aware of Marci so he tries to make up for all the time lost and sometimes puts that onto Robin. He just wishes he could have raised his daughter but he wasn't able to so he'll help her raise her son.

- Caleb proposes to Marci literally like the last episode, she accepts but doesn't get the chance to tell her dad before he dies. Seriously still annoyed with that ending. Just imagining John getting buried under his cop alias and therefore receiving respect for his service. But, at some point, Marci sneaks into the cemetery and adds 'The Man in the Suit' on the headstone and then someone sees it and it goes viral. He's dead under an alias, he doesn't need to hide all he's done any more.
