BABYSOUL's POV

Days went on.

Tomorrow is already Infinite's comeback. And prior to that, which is today, is their showcase. So we're all busy preparing their stuffs and organizing everything at the backstage. All the staffs haven't rested much at all.

I went inside their waiting room, to drop some stuffs and foods. The other members like Sungkyu, L and Sungjong are getting their hair and make-up done while the others are playing around at the corner. Sungyeol and Woohyun are playing a video game. . As I went in, I gave a bow to everyone .

"Yoh! Babysoul!" Dongwoo greeted. The others also greet me. Hoya came to me. "What brought you here?" he immediately asked.

"I'm here to drop this," I said as I show him the things I'm carrying.

"Oh, I thought you came to see me," Hoya acted sad.

"Ei!" Sungyeol complained. "Stop acting like that. You're making me shiver." Then he did his own body gags.

The others laughed and of course Dongwoo's laugh was heard the most. I just laughed along with them.

"Fighting on later's stage!" I held my fists high and encourage them. They all shouted thanks. "B-bye," I smiled and said goodbye to everyone.

When I glanced at the mirror, I saw Sungkyu looking. I gave him a meek smile and a nod when our eyes met. He nodded in response and then I went out of the room.

I smiled.

After our conversation previously, he is no longer treating me like a complete stranger. I was so thankful when accepted my hand that day. I thought he won't but he did. Even with no words, atleast now, he is treating me like an acquaintance, that I'm someone he knows.

Yes, just usual acquaintances exchanging nods and small greetings. Just that.

But atleast, rather than being ignored and treated like a ghost or a wind, this is way better.

As usual, it rained hard today coincidentally with Infinite's showcase. Everyone calls this phenomena 'Inbinite'. (Bi means rain) It's just that whenever Infinite has a special schedule, it rains.

Anyways, the showcase was a success! Even with the heavy rain, a lot of fans came and filled the hall. Infinite also showed their new song and its choreography. Everyone was wowed!

Even I was amazed.

We're just on standby at the back and we can hear the loud cheers from the fans. It was fluttering even though I'm just part of the staff team. I feel proud of Infinite. If I'm not a staff right now, I'm probably one with the audience right now.

The showcase ended and all of the members are now coming back from the stage to their dressing room to change their clothes. Some staffs waited at the backstage and gave the applause and greeted them a job well done.

And I think I should do the same.

"Good job!" I greeted to the person coming in and raised my hand for a high five. But I was stopped just the same, with my hand still hanged in the air. Because it was Sungkyu coming in, he gave me a glance and then accepted my high five. The other members gave me high five too though I was like petrified there with my hands still hanged for a high five.

"Babysoul!" Hoya came last. But instead of giving me a high five. He hugged me!

After hugging me, he pinched my cheeks.

"You heard our new song?" He asked smiling. I felt embarrassed with what he did. I think everyone is watching! "What do you think of it?" he continued.

"Ahmmm... I- I..." I stammered because of his sudden gestures. I tried to composed myself. "I love your new song!" Finally, I answered well. "Actually, I can't wait to watch the MV!"

"That's great! I assure you, you'll love the MV," he said.

"I'm getting really excited!" I exclaimed.

"Miss Lee Sujeong!" Someone called me from behind. "What are you doing there slacking?" Miss Soyu scolded. I immediately ran to her to prevent further anger. I wasn't even able to say goodbye to Hoya.

"You start packing up! Hurry! Gosh!"

"Yes ma'am!" I immediately fixed the things there. I felt my cheeks heating up because I got scolded infront of a lot of people!

The whole day the next day was cloudy with a huge chance of raining. And just the same, we kept on doing our job and all. Even today's schedule is full packed. This morning, Infinite went on a radio show. After lunch, they went on a recording for a variety show. And now that it's getting dark, they just came back to practice because tomorrow is the official start of their performances on the different Music Charts.

Well for us, we are fixing lots of papers, their costumes, fan gifts, answering phone calls, etc. And seriously, we are lacking staffs so the loads of work are piled on us.

It was late afternoon when heavy rain suddenly poured. Luckily, our job now is not offsite.

"Ommo! Sujeong-shi!" Miss Hyejin called my attention while I'm on my table. "Would you please go fetch Sungkyu at the convenient store?"

"Huh? That's weird. What is he doing there?" I asked. He is supposed to be at the practice room.

"Exactly! But I don't know what that guy is doing there either. He must have gotten stranded because of the sudden rain."

"Ow. I..." I wanted to complain and tell her not me and just pick someone else to do that but...

"He's asking for someone to fetch him and no one is available. You better hurry up before he throws a fit! It's just 3 blocks away from here."

I have no choice but to follow orders. "Yes eonnie," I immediately stood from my chair and grabbed the umbrella I saw at the corner and then I went out of the building.

Why do I have to be the only one available at this moment! What would Sungkyu say if he sees me!

The rain is really pouring hard. I can feel the water getting inside my shoes. I wished I've worn boots!

I walk through the wet street and counted the blocks I'm passing through until I saw the store. Then I saw Sungkyu standing outside, his hands inside the pocket of his long black coat. It seems he is waiting impatiently.

He looked at my direction and our eyes locked.

Is he angry that it took long for someone to get here? Is he angry that it's me?

And then suddenly I remembered I only brought one umbrella! I should have brought 2 so I could just give him the other one!

I'm such a.... argh!!! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! I scolded myself.

I went near Sungkyu. He frowned just immediately when he noticed I brought only one umbrella.

"I'm sorry. This is the only available umbrella," I just reasoned. He just crossed his arms and went inside the umbrella with me. I'm thankful he's not nagging nor angry with me.

We walked together through the rain. I moved the umbrella so he could be at the center of it. I also made distance from him so he won't get annoyed. I made sure he gets fully protected from the rain because he is not allowed to get sick, especially now that they're in the midst of promotions.

"Hey. You're getting wet," he said. "Move closer."

"No. It's okay," I just said. Though I can feel the droplets of rain in my head. And I'm really shivering now.

He didn't speak after that. But what surprised me is that he suddenly held my shoulder and pulled me closer to him! Then he took the umbrella from me. I stopped walking with what he did.

"What are you doing? Walk!" he ordered.

He started walking and I just walked along. Thought its cold, I can feel my face heating up and my heart beating faster than usual.

He didn't remove his arms around my shoulder. We just walked so close together under that umbrella. We're equally protected from the rain. But because I'm too aware with his closeness, I can't walk properly so I nearly tripped.

"Watch out!" he yelled.

"asdfgh@#$%!" I heard him mumble to himself but I didn't catch what he said.

"Huh?" I asked.

He didn't answer me. He just pulled me tighter this time. My heart is really- intractably-beating weirdly. And what's weirder is that the feeling seemed so new. Is it still familiarity? Or something else?

After a few moments of walking, the Woollim building came into view. There is a stubborn part of me wishing the road was longer, so we could walk like this longer.

Wait- What am I thinking! My gosh! I want to reach the building already and end this drama!

And so we reached the building. Sungkyu closed the umbrella and handed it back to me.

"Thanks," he muttered before going. I nodded at him.

"Hey! Sungkyu!" Later did I know, Miss Soyu was there! Like waiting for him. "What are you thinking going at the store alone!" she scolded.

"I just have to buy something. I'm hungry. Anyway, I ask permission from hyung," he reasoned. I just stood there listening to them.

"You should have still brought a manager. Or ask someone to do that for you!" she defended. Then she suddenly looked at me.

"What are you still doing here? There are lot's of things to do inside!" she told me. "And Sungkyu, go change your clothes, eo?" she said and went ahead. She looked back and gave me a glare before completely going in.

Sungkyu followed and I was to follow too but he turned back to me, threw something on my head and then he said. "You should immediately change your clothes. You might get sick if you don't," he flatly said and then he walked his way inside the building. I removed that thing in my head, it's a hanky.

I looked at the hanky and then at his back.

Then I held my chest and my stubborn heart.

<A/N> How are you everyone!! It's been months! Haha! I'm really sorry! I had a writer's block on this story. It took a while for me to get inspired...ㅜㅜ ㅜㅜBut anyway, I'm back!!! Yey!
