Just warning you this chapter jumps POV's a lot.

You'll know what this place is in the middle of the story.

Xander's POV

I was sitting in the living room trying not to eavesdrop as Winter told her parents about her powers, stupid werewolf hearing.
"I think we need to visit Grams and Gramps" I hear Jess say to Winter.
"Ya, she'll know what to do. Your grandmother on your mom's side is a fox, she has your powers and more" her dad says.
"Ok lets go then" Winter says walking into the living room.
"We're going to go visit my grandparents. Would you like to go with us?" Winter asks as she sits next to me on the couch.
"No. I think I'm going to go and see Eduardo. He should be awake by now" I lie he woke up during the middle of the night my wolf sensed it.
"Ok. Well we are going to leave now so. I love you" she says and thank God she believed it.
"I love you, too" I say giving her a kiss on the lips.
She gets up and walks out along with her parents.

Winter's POV

We get in the car and make the 10 minute ride to my grandparents house.
We get out of the car and walk inside.
"Grams! Gramps!" I say jumping into their arms.
"Hi sweety" they say in unison hugging me back.
I step away with a big smile plastered on my face as we sat down in the living room.

Xander's POV

I wasn't going to Eduardo's I already took care of him when Winter was sleeping.
I was preparing for my birthday which is in 6 days not including today which is Sunday.
I called Max, Dan and their mates to help me set up the proposing plan I have to propose to Winter.

Winter's POV

"Mom, Winter has the fox gene. She has some powers too. We need to know if she can get anymore and what they are or can be" my mom asks my grams.
"Winter, what powers do you have now?" She asked me with kind eyes.
"I can control peoples minds and talk to animals" I say.
"Those are the more powerful powers. I got those two last" she says eyes filled with curiosity.
"Then why did I get them first?" I ask curiosity coursing through my body.
"My book-" she starts but I cut her off.
"You have a book about us?" I ask incredibly.
"Yes-" she starts again but I cut her off.
"Did you know about this?" I turn to face my mom who has a horrorstruck look on her face.
"Yes" she sighs quietly putting her head down ashamed.
Furious at my mother I huff but continue asking questions "Can I read the book?"
"It's in Latin" she says and I sigh.
"That's out. If I got those powers first does that mean my future powers will be even stronger?"
"Yes it is very possible. It's almost not possible for you to get weaker ones" she replies softly.
"What are the weaker ones?" I ask.
"Controlling nature. Trust me it's not as good as it seems. All you can really do is have plants grow out of anywhere, instantly. Watch" she says and looks at a pot so I look at too.
Out of no where a tiny flower pops up.
"Cute" I squeak out.
"Some other ones are weather, jumping higher than usual, and shrinking. I have all of these and it's still possible you might gain them" she says taking her eyes off the pot.
"When did you gain your last power?" I ask.
"When I turned 25" she says.
I didn't know how to answer so I just hummed.

Xander's POV

"No! Put it over there" I shouted getting frustrated with Max.
"Dude you are completely overthinking things" he said hanging up the last of the Christmas lights in the tree.
"This has to be perfect for her" I whispered getting me more and more angry.
"Xan she'll love it. No matter how you propose she'll say yes. Not even if it's on the car ride over here" Lily said glaring playfully at Max.
"You asked her on the way over here?" I asked him with raised eyebrows, obviously amused.
"Maybe" he said quietly blushing and putting his head down.
"Don't worry I said yes" Lily said excitedly.
"Where are Quinn and Dan?" Max asked looking around.
"Probably behind a tree making out" I suggested and we all burst out laughing. That's when Dan and Quinn walked up both their lips swollen.
We laughed even harder, Max fell on the ground pulling Lily with him which made me laugh even harder than I already was making me lose my breath.
Dan and Lily just stood there with confused faces before leaving again.

Winter's POV

"We should get going it's almost dark" my mom says getting up.
"It was good to see you again, grand and gramps" I say pulling them in a hug.
"You too sweety" they said in unison and I chuckle.
They are so cute.
My parents both hugged them before we left.

My parents dropped me off at my house before driving back to theirs, cause they picked me up at the pack house.
I noticed Xander wasn't here so I mind linked him.
' Babe? Where are you?' I asked him.
' Oh um I'm at the pack house' I could totally hear through his lie so I decided to see where he really was at.
' I'm at the pack house. You don't seem to be here ' I lied.
' Fine I'm at the store ' he said.
Why would he want to keep that from me?
' What store?' I asked.
' That's not your concern. I'll be at our house in 25 minutes. Love you ' he hurried then blocked me out.
Damn it.

Xander's POV

Damn it.
I need to get better at lying. She can't know I'm at the ring store or whatever girls call it.
I chose the perfect ring for Winter.
The two bands were completely increasted with small diamonds. They swirled around each other and in the middle lay a square diamond that was at least ten times bigger than the smaller ones.
I really hope she likes it.

Winter's POV

Damn him.
He should tell me the truth always.
Why his he keeping this secret.
What is the secret
