We sit together each holding a mug of hot tea as we look out the window at the slow rain. We have been here the whole day now, the two of us.

 We haven't said a word, as the majestic rain is so captivating we are speechless. I grab my phone for the first time in hours and put on a soft lofi mix that I found a few weeks ago. It blends nicely with the rain as we cuddle closer.

Another forty five minutes go by when you pause the music on my phone. "Grab your rain coat and shoes, you are probably going to want to come with me."

 I rush around trying to find everything I need as you blankly pull on your shoes and coat. When I'm finally ready you open the door for me and we make our descent into the city.

We don't get an taxi like I thought we would, instead you and I walk for a while side by side in the slowly increasing pace of rain. Eventually we stop at a park I've never been to. You lead me to the back area that looks out over the river.

"woah...."

The river was beautiful today. The low haze of fog hung just above the horizon, making the skyline of our city invisible.

 After staring at the view in awe for quite a while, you embarrassingly ask me to dance. 

Flustered, of course I say yes. 

Together, we dance the rest of the afternoon away to no sound except the steady beating of our hearts and the kind drizzle around us.
