Day 37

I awoke the next morning, and looked out the window. It's a beautiful day out there, bird singing as they flew by, new flowers blooming, it felt like one of those days where people like me should get to work outside. I smiled and sat up, stretching. I was about to get out of bed and leave my room to start my rounds, when my door shattered, Jade rushing in. "HOLY MOTHER OF SAPPHIRE!!! JADE!?!?!?!? WHAT THE HECK!?" I screeched. She looked at me, and I could tell something was wrong. "Cyrissa there's something wrong..." she said. "Say no more, let me get dressed and we'll be off." I said, she nodded, cleaning up the door fragments, and putting a large blanket over the door way. I sighed, and got dressed, then walked out. "I wanted to put a new door there anyways." I joked, Jade chuckled slightly, but then her face went serious again. "So where are we going?" I asked, as Jade led the way. "We're going to the guard house.... there's something up with Garrick, and he has locked himself in his room." She said. "Hmm..... maybe he just needs to talk." I said, as we continued on our way.

Once we arrived at the guard house I went straight to Garrick's room. I knocked twice. "Garrick? Are you there?" No response, so I knocked again with a good idea. "Knock knock." I said, I heard shuffling in the room, then a faint voice. "who's there?" He asked, I smirked. "Old lady." I said. "Old lady who?" He asked, sounding happier. "Oh wow, I didn't know you could yodel!" I said laughing, and then he started laughing as well. I smiled. "May I come in Garrick?" I asked. "Yes, of course m'lady." Garrick said, sounding faint. I opened the door and walked in, Garrick was standing in front of his window, looking out. I then closed the door and walked up to him. "How are you?" I asked. "I'm.... fine... I'm more worried about the village..." he said. "Oh? And whys that?" I asked sitting on his table looking at him. "Donovan...." he said. "Huh? What about him?" I tilted my head to the side looking at him. "He's..... my brother..... but that's not all..." he said, sitting down besides me on the table. "He seen me without my helm on, which means he'll stop at nothing to bring me back home.... which includes destroying the village." I looked at him shocked. "A-are you serious? But.... but he seemed so nice last night...." I said. "What!?" Garrick yelled at me. "Well, he asked me to dance with him so I did.... I mean... you have to be a nice person to your guests.... don't you?" I asked. He sighed. "Yes I suppose you do, but don't believe he's nice even for a second! It's just a front to hide his pure evilness..." he said, I sat there beside him, disappointed in myself that I didn't believe Jade sooner, no correction, that I didn't want to believe her, in my mind, anyone can be good, so long as they tried. But this time, I was wrong. "Hey, Cyrissa, are you okay?" Garrick asked, I shook my head. "I'm just a dumb girl... lost in my mind saying that anyone could be good, if they just tried..... I'm just so stupid that I didn't want to believe the warning Jade gave me about your brother...." I said, trying not to show how stupid I felt. Then Garrick hugged me. "Your not stupid, if anything, your one of the nicest, and smartest people I know." I slowly hugged him back. "Thank you, it's just....... I trust to easily, and I try not to believe that people can be cruel..... but I'm just living in my own little Fantasy." I said, we broke the hug, and hopped down off of the table. "Hey I know how to cheer you up." He said smiling with glee. "Oh?" I asked. "The only thing that I could ever love, is this table!" He exclaimed, hugging one of the legs of the table. I began to laugh. "No! You cannot love the table! For I am engaged to it!" I yelled back. "Oh no your not! It's my table!" We began to laugh harder, falling to the ground for how hard we were laughing. "N-No!! My table!!" I gasped in between laughs, as I clung to the table, in a make shift hug. Jade then broke into the his room, once again breaking another door. "HEY! MY DOOR!!" Garrick yelled. "NO ONE CAN LOVE THIS TABLE ANYMORE!!" Jade yelled picking it up and running away with it. "FOR THE TABLE IS MINE!!" We all laughed as we chased after Jade.

Soon after wards, we lost Jade, and the table. "NO!! My table is gone!" He yelled. I lugged at him. "Don't worry, in sure Jade will return it." I said patting him on the back. He laughed. "Well even if she dose she didn't get the actual table, I have the real one back in my room." He said, I laughed at him. "Well okay then, Mr.Table-Lover. I have to go on my rounds, I'll see you around." I said, Garrick nodded and we parted ways, but as I was leaving Garrick yelled back at me. "Remember what I told you, don't trust the front!" "Got it!!" I yelled back, as I ran back to the roads and began my rounds.

I finished my rounds, once again feeling glum. "Hello M'Lady... er I mean, Cyrissa." I heard Donovan say. I grimiest and put a fake smile on my face. "Hello Donovan, how are you?" I asked, pausing for him to catch up to me. "I'm doing quiet well actually, and you?" He asked. "I'm good." I said. "Well I'm glad, now if you do not mind me saying, you are a very talented dancer if I do say so myself." He said, smiling. "Thank you, your not to bad yourself." I said picking up my pace slightly to end this encounter quicker. "Well, I have something I must speak to you about, in private." He said. "Umm... alright..." I said, feeling uneasy. "Would my house be alright?" I asked, he nodded. "Yes that'll be perfect." I nodded and we walked to my house, I felt butterflies begin to build in my stomach. This isn't going to end well.... is it? I thought, but I shook it off as we went to my house.

When me and Donovan got back to my place, we talked about when he was departing. "So I would like to barrow some of your workers time for a boat. If that wouldn't be much trouble." He said. "No! No not at all, we'll begin work as soon as tomorrow." I said, he got up and began to leave"Thank you Cyrissa, oh and one last thing." He said as he stopped to look at me. I felt the butterflies build up again. "Good night." He said leaving. I slouched back into my chair, and sighed in relief. The last thing I wanted was any trouble. I got up, went upstairs, and climbed into my bed snuggling into my sheets. "Today.... was not a good day.... it was a flipping stressful one...." I said, soon after that I drifted off into sleep. Knowing that tomorrow was only going to be worse.
