Chapter Two: Hopeful Beginnings

I walked around the almost empty Diagon Alley in wonder. I had never been outside of the Burrow before, and this was almost mind blowing. I slowly approached a large white building. I took a deep breath before entering. When I walked in the first things I noticed was that all the workers were goblins. I was shocked. I walked up to what looked like the main desk where a goblin was weighing what looked to be rubies. He looked down at me. "May I help you?" The goblin asked. I gulped. "Hello, my name is Victoria Cedrella Weasley, I'm here to ask about emancipation?" I replied quietly. He looked down at me. "Very well, follow me." The goblin said. I followed after him as he lead me into a back room. "Your hand Miss Weasley." The goblin said to me. I gave him my hand and he took a knife and cut my palm, letting my blood drip on a piece of paper. Soon letters began to appear on the paper.

Name: Victoria Cedrella Weasley
Age: 10
Mother: Molly Weasley née Prewitt
Father: Arthur Weasley
Godparents: None
Magical Inheritance:
Creature: Phoenix
Magical Core: Exceeds Merlin

"Very well Miss Weasley, just sign here with this." The goblin explained, pointing to a spot on the paper and handing me a quill. I signed, wincing a bit at the pain, and as soon as I was done Ma'am and Sir's names faded off the paper, as did my last name. "You'll need to take a new last name now." The goblin explained. I thought for a minute. "I would say Prewett, but that's too close to my former mother's family. We're distantly related to the Potter family so how about Peverell?" I said. The goblin nodded. "Very well then Lady Peverell. Since they're are no remaining Peverell's at the moment you will become head of the family, which means that everything in the Peverell family vault is now yours, the Peverell manor as well." The goblin explained, summoning several things for me, such as a ring with the family crest, and the keys to the vault and the manor and a small pouch of money for me. "Thank you, what's your name by the way?" I asked. "I am Redhook." The goblin said. "Thank you for everything Redhook, I will not forget your kindness to me." I said, bowing to the gobin. He smiled and bowed back. "My pleasure Lady Peverell. Perhaps I could take charge of your finances, invest them for you." He offered. I smiled. "I would like that a lot, but for now I want to go home and rest." I thanked him again before leaving. I walked out of the bank with the small pouch and went to The Leaky Cauldron where I would stay for the night. I walked in and ordered a room, heading upstairs and falling asleep as soon as I got to my bed.
