3rd POV

"How you all got separated....... Heh....."

Kyoko looks up and closes her eyes and takes a deep breath.

"A long time ago... Me and Honoka's father were married. And we had Honoka. But soon things didn't work out. And so we got a divorce."

She looks over at Yume and Brec.

"I already knew your father. We were friends. And he was there for me."

She looks down.

"But... During y'alls birth..... Something went wrong...
"Honoka... When you were born you were a perfectly healthy baby girl... But when Yume and Brec were born...."

Kyoko looks at the ceiling and takes a deep breath. Then looks at the girls.

"When you were born Brec. We knew something was wrong. That's why we opened the shop. To have enough money to pay both our bills and hospital bills. But soon.... It wasn't enough.... What with also trying to raise 3 kids. 1 child and 2 toddlers. So.... We called your father Honoka... And my best friend.... Mimi...."
"That's mom... Or my "adoptive" mother."
Brec says while doing quotation marks with her hands.

Yume looks at her confused. She turns to her mother.

"Mom what does Brec mean by that?"
Yume says rather quickly and worriedly.

Kyoko takes another deep breath.

"Mimi.... Never legally adopted Brec.... You see........"

A young Kyoko opens the door to Mimi. Mimi's short pinkish and redish hair swaying from the slight wind. Her husband, Ryuji standing next to her. And a small Shiro stands behind Mimi. Gripping onto his mothers blue skirt.

"Kyoko? What's wrong?"

Mimi asks. Her voice worried from seeing her best friend looking down sad.

She looks up. Her eyes begging for something.

"I need your help...."

The 3 couples sit around in a booth. Yume and Brec were put down for a nap. While Honoka and Shiro are playing in Honoka's room.

"WHAT!?!?"

The 4 shout. Kyoko staring down at her legs.

She looks up with a serious face.

"Seiji, I need you to take Honoka...."
"Kyoko!--"

Kyoko holds up her hand.

"And Mimi, I need you to take Brec."

Mimi's eyes widen.

"Wait! Are you suggesting to separate them!"
"There's no other choice..... We don't have enough money.... We don't have a choice.... And if there is a better.... Smarter option....... I can't think of it....."

She looks up to Mimi with a sad face.

"I'm sorry for having to give you Brec.... I would word it differently but.... I don't wanna sound rude.....
"You do know she has AIDs.... Right?"

Mimi sadly and slowly nods her head.

"Yes....."

"Mommy?"

Kyoko looks at 4 year old Honoka. She picks her up and sits her on her lap.

"Honoka sweetie..... I know you might not like this but... You're gonna live with your father for awhile..."
"Nu-nu, I wanna stay with mommy."

Kyoko hugs Honoka tight.
"I know.... I want you to stay with me too but.... You can't....."

Kyoko carries a two year old Brec in her hands. Her hair short and barley even reaching her chin. As Kyoko talks to her, her voice cracks and tears slowly fall down her face.

"I know you can't understand me baby..... But you're gonna stay with my best friend in the whole world. Her name is Mimi. And she has a son Honoka's age. His name is Shiro...... His mother and father are gonna take good care of you....."

She sniffs.

"I love you..... So much..... Please don't forget your mother.... Okay?"

As she turns around she hands Brec to Mimi. As Mimi carefully takes her into her arms. She bends down and places Brec next to Shiro.

"Shiro... This is Brec. She's gonna be your sister for awhile..... So.... I need you to watch her..... Protect her.... Be there for her when she cries... When she falls...... You need to be her big brother.... Okay?"

He nods.

"Okey...."

He grabs Brec's hand and gives his mother his brave face.

"I would like them not to know..... At least until they're 13...."

They all nod their heads.

"Wait so! You just let them take them!"
"Yume we didn't have any other choice.... And if there was a better one.... I couldn't think of it in time...."
"Wait but...."

Yume looks down. Confusion in her face.

"How come you didn't tell me when I turned 13?"

Kyoko looks down.

"That's because..... You were the hospital... Remember? Yume you had just found you were sick.... We couldn't just tell you out of the blue....."

She looks at Honoka. Who nods her head.

"Yume..... You meeting Honoka at the Valentine's festival wasn't conscience. At a certain point, Honoka took matters into her own hands. Since she already knew Brec, she didn't have to search for her. But you....
"All Honoka knew was the your name was Yume. Along with Nijino obviously..... So when she looked you up... The first thing that popped up was you and your friends Christmas performance...."

Honoka quickly types on her computer.

"Nijino.... Yume....."
She says quietly to herself.

"Huh?"

(Quick authors note. Anybody remember when this episode came out? I do. I remember staying up SUPER LATE just to watch the ep and by the end I was losing it and jumping on my bed trying to stay quiet cuz it was like 5 am and I had school. Luckily it got canceled for reasons that I don't remember. Anyway back to the story!)

Honoka's eyes widen as a huge smile took place on her face.

"SHE'S A SCHOOL IDOL!"

Yume laughs at Honoka re-calling her memory.

Honoka soon turns to Brec.

"So! What gender is the baby!?"

Brec smiles.

"I'm pretty sure it's a girl."

Honoka gasps in happiness.
"Well shoot me in the ribs and call me Alexander Hamilton!"
Honoka yells.

Brec makes a face like she's hurt and says in a cracking voice.

"NoW wHo GaVe YoU tHe RiGhT--"

Yume laughs at her sisters and smiles.

'I hope things will always stay like this....'
She thinks.

But she looks at Brec and can't help but to frown.

'But I know they won't......'
