Y/N: I promised Mark today I would help him volunteer at the soup kitchen today

"And my phone is at thirty percent!?" I exclaim, plugging my phone to the cord. I stretch my arms as I get off the bed and slide the window curtains, letting the sun enter.

Mark: Hey, is it ok if I pick you up in thirty minutes

Y/N: I just got out of bed

Mark: Y/N!

Y/N: I know......I'll be quick

Mark: Ok, hurry up

Y/N: 🙃

"See, I told you." I said to Mark, hopping onto the back seat of his bike. Mark starts to peddle right away. "If we get there quickly, then we'll be there just in time."

"We have to be there right on time?" I hold onto the back of his shirt because of how fast he's going. "You know how my aunt doesn't like it when anyone runs late."

Mark's aunt owns a soup kitchen in Seoul that's about twenty minutes away from my place. Mark and I usually volunteer there sometimes (mostly Mark) and today I promised him I would volunteer with him.

His aunt hates it when people are running late on her.

"You're going so fast, slow down a little." I say, tightening my grip. Mark slows down but still going pretty fast.

"Auntie told me that it's going to be really busy tonight since she's doing two dollars off on all meals." Mark chuckles. I roll my eyes. "It's gonna be a long night then."

"Be careful it's hot." I warn the little boy reaching for the bowl of soup from my hands. "Ok!" He says in a high voice taking the bowl and moving down the line.

It's been two hours since Mark and I arrived and it's been hectic. We still have another hour until closing time but honestly I'm already exhausted.

The next person in line came up, his bangs covering his forehead and a black face mask hiding his mouth. "Which soup would you like sir?" I ask him, grabbing a bowl from under. I watch him, waiting patiently for him to choose.

His eyes move across the different soups, observing them closely. "I recommend the chicken vegetable soup, with a side of white rice, it's my favorite." I say so he doesn't hold up the line. He looks up at me and smiles through the face mask.

"Then I'll have a serving of that please." He said. "Ahh you're going to love it." I say while pouring the soup in the bowl.

"Careful, it's hot." I warn, handing him the bowl. He takes it and what he said, I was totally not expecting:

"Hot like you."

He winks at me and moves on down the line for a serving of rice. I just froze silently, a blush swimming across my cheeks, my mouth hung slightly open.

"Can I get my soup?"
"Excuse me I'm waiting!"

I shake my head and unfreeze, giving my attention to the next person. "I'm sorry sir, which one would you like?"

WONHO P.O.V

"Where were you?" Minhyuk asks, taking of his fake glasses. "At the soup kitchen." I pour myself a glass of water and sit with him in the living room.

"The soup kitchen? That's so unlike you."
"Mmm, I wanted to go for a change."

Minhyuk shakes his head. "You're weird, I'm going to my room." He walks to his room slowly and disappears.

Lee Hoseok: You tired?

Y/N: Always

Lee Hoseok: Yeah, volunteering can be tiring

Y/N: Hmm, always is

Y/N: But I actually had fun today

This made me grin, lean my back against the couch and bring the phone closer to my eyes.

Lee Hoseok: Really?

Y/N: Yeah, I'm even blushing just thinking about it

Lee Hoseok: What, was Wonho there?

Y/N: I wish, but no he wasn't

Y/N: Someone calmed me 'hot' and I just got super shy

Lee Hoseok: I mean you are, he's not lying

Y/N: Pfft, I've never been called 'hot'

Y/N: You've never seen my face, you don't know what I look like

Lee Hoseok: Yes I have
