Demolition Man

Not one you'd expect to see here, and to be honest I was hard-pressed to find something that fits. But this one kinda does.

Crime has been eradicated. Except suddenly it hasn't—when a crime lord and a supercop both cryogenically frozen in 1996 are thawed-out in 2032. Crime lord does bad. Supercop does good.

Excellent movie.

Star Trek

Yeah, Star Trek—the whole thing, really. You see, the whole idea with Star Trek is that it features a human race who've successfully overcome World War III and another eugenics crisis to basically be "allowed" by the Vulcans to continue with a Warp program and enter the galaxy as a space-chasing species.

Society itself, as suggested in The Next Generation, is free of all past problems. There's some sort of UBI in effect and food shortage is a thing of the past. 

Generally speaking, Star Trek is about hippies in space.
