Daksh was in his room, lying on bed and was in deep thought.

'mujh se itni nafrat ho gayi tumhe ki mujhe dekh ke tum muh pher ke chali gayi. Ek baar toh mujhe apni baat kehna ka mauka do, main saari galat fehmiyan dur karna chahta hoon batana chahta hoon ki meine tumhe koi dhokha nahi diya hai.'' He takes a turn.

''Main tumse baat toh kar ke rahunga. Tumhari Misunderstanding dur karne ke saath mujhe ye bhi toh jaanna hai ki tumhe Vineet ke baare mei kaise pata chala, meine toh tumhe kabhi uske baare mei bataya hi nahi tha aur Vineet wo delhi kyun gaya, usne  aisa kyun kiya. Aaj tak main vishwas nahi kar paya ki Vineet ne aisa kiya bhi. In saare sawalo ke jawab ya toh tumhare pass hai ya Vineet ke.'' He takes a deep breath. ''Vineet toh iss haal mei nahi ki kuch bata saake par tum ho aur main tumse baat karke rahunga!'' He determined to talk to her as there are many such questions which are unsolved but he needs to know the answer.

His trail of thought was broken by the sound of the door opening. He looked up only to find Vineet who entered the room.

'Main aa gaya!” Vineet exclaims as he jumped on the bed beside him.

Daksh gazed at him,''Tu gaya hi kahan tha jo aa gaya?'Daksh asked, raising his eyebrow.

' aapne room se aaya 'Vineet replied flashing his cute smile.

' kyun??'' Daksh asked as he laid down on his back.

'wo main naa bore ho raha tha' Vineet replied making a sad face snuggling towards him.

Daksh turns his head towards him,''aacha toh tu bore ho raha hai, Par tu mere paas kyun aaya hai?''Daksh asked confusedly.

'taki hum ek game khel sakke' Vineet exclaims as he rolls over Daksh. 

Daksh makes him lay on bed,

'Mujhe nai khelna.' Daksh said and hopped out of the bed but Vineet caught his wrist and pulled him such that he fell on the bed.

'arey aise kaise chota sa game hai, Answer questions wala!Maja aayega khelte hai naa' Vineet requested, making faces like a kid.

Daksh shook his head,

'meine kaha naa mujhe nahi khelna. Mera mood nahi hai' Daksh said and again got up to leave.

This angered vineet, he laid on the bed, on his stomach.

'haan haan jao!! Sab ko apne mood ki padi hai. Koi meri baat nahi manta, main bhi nahi manunga. Main jayunga kal se office, jahan jana hai wahan jayunga' he shouts and covers his head with a pillow.

Daksh sighed 'ho gaye iske nakhre suru.' He sat on bed and called him softly. 

'Vineet' Daksh called him, but he didn't reply, instead he threw his legs and hand in the air out of anger. 

Daksh removes the pillow from his head. Vineet took another pillow and again covered his face, Daksh held his arm and turned him around. His eyes were closed and anger covered his whole face. 

'uth khalte hai!'' Daksh said and tried to make him sit. But Vineet jerks his hand.

'Mujhe nai khelna' Vineet shouted in anger and turned his face to the other side. 

Daksh sigh, his brother is really angry and he can't leave him just like that. 

'ho gaya naa aab. Chal nakhre na kar, uth' Daksh made him sit forcefully, Vineet hairs were messed, Daksh settled them with his hand running his fingers through his hairs.

'bol kya khelna hai' Daksh asked, sitting properly on the bed.

Vineet glared at him,'meine bataya tha kya khelna hai tu fir bhi puch raha hai. Matlab tune meri baat nahi suni thi. Jaa, mujhe nahi khelna tere saath.' Vineet again tried to lay down, but Daksh didn't let him. 

'yaad aa gaya..yaad aa gaya.. Question - answer game khelna hai' Daksh said,making him sit properly. 

'haan' Vineet replied angrily.

'thik hai!! Game ke rules aur prize bata de. Nahi toh fir tu bolega meine rules break kiye.''Daksh said.

'rules kuch nahi hai, bas koi question ka bina answer diye nahi jaa sakta. Aur jo jeetega usse kuch nahi milega, par jo haarega usse khana banana padega. Thik hai' Vineet states. 

'khana banane ke liye cook hai hamare ghar mei, fir?? Daksh asked. 

' cook hai nahi tha. Mom ke jaate hi chuti le ke nikal gaya 'Vineet informs.

'thik hai, start kon karega' Daksh asked.

'chillar hai' Vineet question.

'nahi.. Kyun puch raha hai' Daksh asked confusedly.

'toss karne ke liye aur kya' Vineet said and made a face.

Daksh looked at him,''Sirf puch raha hoon, Usmein aisi sakal kyun bana raha hai' Daksh asked and in reply Vineet again made a face.

'khelega ya main jau' Daksh asked and was about to stand. Vineet held his hand.

'khelte hai naa' he said, pouting.

'chal tu hi start kar le.

. Waise bhi agar main toss jeet bhi gaya fir bhi tu mujhe start toh karne nahi dega. Issliye aacha yahi hai ki tu start kar le' Daksh said, Vineet nodded smiling.

'Okay!! Toh pehla question, tune medical kyun choose kiya aur kiya bhi toh psychology kyun chuna' Vineet asked, making a weird face. 

'kyunki mera interest tha isliye' Daksh replied simply, he knows Vineet doesn't like doctors. 

'dusra sawal, tere college mei kitni ladki thi?''he asked.

Daksh gave him a look,''meine kabhi ginna nahi.''

' toh class ka hi bata de.''

' meine wo bhi dhyan nahi diya.''

' aare aankh band karke padhne jaata tha  kya 'Vineet asked irritatedly.

' main apne kam se kam rakhta tha. Aur tujhe kya karna hai jaan ke mera class mei kitni ladki thi 'Daksh asked.

' tu bhool gaya kya? Main aab tak single hoon. Socha tere class ki kissi ladki ko patta loon 'Vineet said, winking at him.

' bas, bas.. Agla sawal puch. Tera single puran nahi sunna mujhe.'Daksh said.

' thik hai, ye bata Ruhana ki koi behen hai 'he asked, in return received a deadly glare from Daksh.

' kyun?? Daksh asked, glaring at him.

'hai toh main ussi ko patta leta' Vineet replied with a smirk.

'nahi hai.. Na behen na bhai, eklauti hai' Daksh said angrily, glaring at him.

'toh ghur kyun raha hai. Nahi hai toh nahi hai. Main kissi aur ko dhundh lunga' Vineet replies. 

'agar tu aise sawal karega toh main nahi khelne wala' Daksh said, raising his both hands up.

'Arey nai nai, thik hai. Aise question na puchta,  Aab agla sawal...' He tries to say but his sentence remains incomplete as Daksh phone rings.

Daksh picks up the call as it was from the inspector who is handling vineet case. Daksh moves out of the room to talk with the inspector.

Vineet bangs his hand on the bed as he was to ask about Ruhana but misses the chance.

'raat ko bhi chen nahi hai logo ko. Kitna aacha mauka tha Ruhana ke baare mein puchne ka. Gaya haath se' he frustratedly laid down on the bed and covered himself with the blanket.

.... 

Outside.. 

'jee inspector, kuch pata challa Vineet ko kaun dawaiya de raha hai' Daksh asked.



'iska patta toh abhi nahi challa hai, par ek dusri baat pata chali hai' inspector said.

'kya pata chala hai' Daksh question.

'uss din aapka bhai akela nahi tha, Uske saath koi ladki bhi thi. Aur wo bhi shayad bahut buri tarah ghayal hogi. Hume waha pe blood ke traces aur ek earring milla hai jispe khoon laga hua hai. Aur aapke bhai ki car jo waha milli thi uske andar bhi uss ladki ka khoon mila hai. Mujhe lagta hai Vineet uss ladki ko jante the 'inspector informs. 

'Haan, shayad Vineet usse janta ho, Kyunki jab bhi usse attack aate hai, wo yahi chillata hai ki usse chor do, usse chor do. Ho sakta hai wo ussi ladki ke baare mei baat karta ho 'Daksh said, assuming. 

' agar wo ladki mil jaye toh shayad case sulajh jaaye. Dekhte hai kya hota hai. Agar aapko kuch pata challe uss ladki ke baare mein toh mujhe inform kar dijiye 'inspector says.

'okay inspector, Main koshish karta hoon, Vineet se puchne ka.'Daksh said and ended the call.

' ye ladki kon ho sakti hai, Vineet ne mujhe kabhi bataya bhi nahi. Kaise pata karu uske baare mei 'Daksh thought but his trail of thought was broken by a voice.

Their maid was calling him.

' kya hua 'Daksh asked.

' bhaiya khana laag gaya hai. Kha lijiye 'she informs. Daksh looked at her confusedly.

' khana laag gaya?? Hari kaka (cook) toh chutti pe gaye naa?'' Daksh question.

'nahi toh' she replies, Daksh sigh.

'thik hai jao, hum aate hai' Daksh said and entered the room.

He found Vineet already asleep.  He marched toward him and called him..

'Vineet chal, khana laag gaya hai' Daksh said but didn't get any reply from him. Daksh removed the blanket from his face.

Daksh nudged him,'Vineet, uth khana kha le' 

'nahi, mujhe bhookh nahi hai' Vineet said in a sleepy tone and slept in a cozy position. 

'aise kaise nahi khana. Chal uth, kha ke so jana' Daksh made him sit.

'Mujhe nahi khana hai, one de mujhe' he tried to lay down but Daksh pulled him out of the bed and made him stand.

'sona kha ke. Chal' he dragged him downstairs towards the dining table and made him sit. And himself secures his seat beside him.

The food gets served. Vineet ate very little as he was sleepy. They finished their food, Vineet left the table and headed towards his room. 

'Hari kaka' Daksh shouted.

Hari kaka came running.

'jee Daksh babu.'' He asked.

'kaka ek glass garam dudh le aaiye' Daksh said.

'beta, aap toh kabhi sone se pehle dudh nahi peete naa' hari asked. 

'dudh mere liye nahi, Vineet ke liye hai. Usne aache se khaya nahi, dudh pi lega toh thik rahega' Daksh said. Hari nodded and went to the kitchen and returned with a glass of milk. Daksh grabbed it and marched towards Vineet's room.

Daksh entered his room, Vineet was sleeping peacefully. He moved towards him and placed the glass on the table and softly called his name.

'Vineet, uth ja dudh pi le' Daksh said, lightly caressing his head.

'Mujhe nahi pina' Vineet replied in a sleepy tone.

'aise kaise.. Tune aache se khana bhi nahi khaya hai.. Chal uth' Daksh patted his cheeks and when he opened his eyes Daksh made him sit and forward the glass toward him. Vineet grabbed it and drank half.

'ho gaya' Vineet said, forwarding the glass towards Daksh.

'abhi toh aadha hi khatam hua hai. Chal pura pi' Daksh takes the glass towards his mouth. Half heartedly, Vineet drank it. Daksh took the glass from his hand and kept it on the table.

'tu hamesha apni manmani karta hai. Mujh se apni har baat manwa leta hai, lekin main kuch bolu toh manta bhi nahi, upar se dantta hai. Hmfff' Vineet complained like a kid as he kept his head on Daksh's shoulder. Daksh embraces him in his arms. 

'aab tu baccho jaisi harkat karega toh dantna toh padega hi. Itna bada ho gaya hai fir bhi baat baat pe nakhre karta hai, naraz ho jata hai.' Daksh replied, caressing his back. 

Vineet parted from the hug and looked at him,''main baccha hoon toh bacche jaisi harkat hi karunga naa' Vineet exclaims.

'tu baccha hai' Daksh asked, eyeing him. 

'aur nahi toh kya. Meri toh aab tak girl friend bhi nahi hai. Toh main baccha hi hua naa' Vineet said to which Daksh wasn't able to control his laughter.

'g..g..girlfriend nahi..nahi hai toh tu..baccha ban gaya..hahahahahaha' Daksh laugh. Vineet shot him a deadly glare, Daksh somehow managed to suppress his laughter after receiving a deadly glare from his brother. And in the very next moment burst out laughing.

Vineet throws a pillow on him which he catches.

'Okay, Okay sorry! Lekin bhale hi aapki girlfriend nahi hai par aap itne chote nahi hai vineet babu ki apna khayal khud naa rakh sakke' Daksh said pulling his cheeks. 

'tu hai na khayal rakhne ke liye kaffi hai' Vineet replied, winking at him.

'aur jo main naa raha. Fir, kaise karega' Daksh asked, caressing his cheeks.

Vineet clutched his hand tightly, 'nahi raha kya hota hai. Main tujhe kabhi kahin nahi jaane dunga.' Vineet hugged him tightly, after all he can't afford to lose him.

 Daksh patted his back and separated him from the hug. 

'main tujhe chod ke kahin nahi jaa raha. Chal raat bahut ho gayi hai, aab so jaa' Daksh said.

Vineet laid down on the bed, Daksh covered him with the blanket and himself secured his place to the other side of the bed. 

Vineet fell asleep in no time. but Daksh was awake as he had to see whether there would be any change in Vineet's behavior tonight or not.

Throughout the night, Vineet doesn't react. Daksh sighed 'hamara shaq sahi tha, gadbad iske office mei hi hai.. Aaj ye office nahi gaya toh kuch bhi nahi hua.. Aab, jab tak iske piche kaun hai uska patta nahi chal jata, tab tak ke liye Vineet ko office jaane se rokna hoga' Daksh thought and closed his eyes. 

Next morning.. 

Daksh's phone was ringing, but Daksh wasn't responding as he was in deep sleep. Vineet, who was in the washroom, came out and picked up the phone as Dr. Mathur's name was flashing on the screen. Vineet pressed the green icon and attached the phone to his ear. Before he could say anything, doctor Mathur says,

'Dr. Shergill aap aaye nahi aab tak. Dr. Agarwal aur Dr. Ruhana wait kar rahe hai. Aap kahan hai..' Dr. Mathur asked.

'wo Daksh aa raha hai thori der mein' Vineet replied..

'oo..aacha..thik hai unhe jaldi bhej dijiye' Dr. Mathur said and ended the call..

Vineet was left in deep thought.

'Ruhana yaha hai..' then a smile crept on his face,'yes..yes...aab toh unse milne ke liye Delhi nahi jaana padega. Aab ek baar Mumbai aa hi gayi hai toh aab yahi baswa dunga' Vineet grinned.

He turns to Daksh and nudges him.

'Daksh uth. Tere hospital se call aaya tha.. Uth' Daksh sits up with a jerk hearing the name of the hospital.

'time kya hua hai' he asked to vineet.

'9 baaj rahe hai' Vineet replied.

'o shit.. I'm late.. 8 baje ka time tha.' he hopped out of the bed and ran to the bathroom. 

He came out after around 10 minutes, getting ready. He found Vineet tying shoelaces, he has also dressed up.

'tu kahan chala taiyar ho ke' Daksh asked, as he wore his glasses and watch.

'tere saath hospital' Vineet replied and stood up. 

'hospital.. Kyun??? Daksh asked confusedly.

' akele ghar mei reh ke makhiyan marunga kya. Issliye socha tere saath hospital hi chala jau 'Vineet replied smiling.

' lekin 'Daksh was about to say but Vineet cut him in between.

' lekin - wekin kuch nahi. Chal jaldi late ho raha hai 'Vineet dragged him out.

.... 

Their car stopped in front of the hospital. Daksh hopped out of the car and marched in the hospital with fast steps. Vineet Park the car and enter the building. He was happy and was smiling constantly, as finally he will meet her and will convince her.

He has also dressed up like a gentleman, to impress her.

As he reached Daksh cabin, he was about to enter but didn't.

'wo log toh baatein kar rahe honge, meeting jo thi. Ek kaam karta hoon, yaha bahar mei hi wait karta hoon. Meeting khatam hone ke badh toh bahar hi aayenge, tab baat karunga. Haan yahi thik hai' he thought and started roaming here and there in the hospital.

....

Around half an hour later, he saw Daksh following a girl, Vineet too followed him.

'Ruhana.. Ruhana, meri baat suno' Daksh said following her but she was moving ahead ignoring him.

'aacha.. Toh ye Ruhana hai..' Vineet thinks increasing his pace.

Daksh took some fast steps and caught her hand. He dragged her to the side by, to the small temple of the hospital. Ruhana jerked his hand and freed her hand from his grip.

'kyun mere picche pade ho tum. Tumhe samajh nahi aa raha main tumse baat nahi karna chahti.' she shouts on him.

'main tumhari narazgi samajhta hoon, bas ek bar meri baat sun lo' Daksh almost pleads.

'kyun sunnu main tumhari baat, itna kuch hone ke badh aur kuch reh gaya hai jo aab sunnana chahte ho' she said angrily, tears formed in her eyes. 

'ek mauka, bas ek mauka do main sab thik kar dunga' Daksh said, his eyes too became watery.

'aab kuch thik nahi hoga. Sab kuch khatam ho gaya hai, tumne sab khatam kar diya' she said, crying.

Vineet, who was hiding behind the idol of god and listening to all this was getting confused.

'urgggg, kya baatein kar rahe hai ye dono' Vineet thinks 

'main sab thik kar dunga' Daksh says confidently.

Ruhana was about to say when a guy around 30 came and stood by her side. He found Ruhana crying, he cupped her face and wiped her tears.

'kya hua.. Tum ro kyun rahi ho?? He asked, worriedly.

She removed his hand from her face. 

' kuch nahi.. Tum yaha kya kar rahe ho?? She asked.

'mujhe aunty ne bataya ki tum Mumbai aayi ho, toh main bhi aa gaya. Aab main apni hone wali biwi ko aise akela toh nahi chor sakta naa' he said with a smile. 

Daksh and Vineet were left shocked. 

Tears brimmed in Daksh's eyes but he controlled and didn't let the tears flow because he didn't want to create any problem for her. But

Vineet gets angry, that how could she marry someone else so easily.

The guy then noticed Daksh and asked Ruhana.

'ye kon hai?? He asked pointing to Daksh. 

Ruhana looks at Daksh,''ye iss hospital ke head hai. Dr. Daksh Shergill!'' She introduced.

' Hello Dr. Daksh, My self Raunak Sood, Ruhana ka fiancee 'Raunak said, forwarding his hand. Daksh shook hands with him with a smile. 

' Congratulations 'Daksh said and immediately left from there as he felt he would break down in tears any time. 

Raunak was confused by his behaviour..' bara ajeeb hai.'' He thought.

' abhi tum jao, main sham ko milti hoon tum se 'Ruhana said to Raunak.

Raunak nodded and left the hospital while Ruhana moved to check her patient.

Vineet set on the floor, where he was hiding. His hand on his head.

'main bhi dekhta hoon, Daksh ko chor ke kaise shadi karti ho tum. Ye shadi toh main tod ke rahunga!'' He thought. 

In no time, he left the hospital.
