The best relationship is that which is built on trust, understanding, and respect. If a relationship lacks this, then there will be a lot of circumstances which the two will face and that will give room to their foes to intervene in there life's.

Tehzeeb woke up today happily and energetic. She just doesn't know why she feels happy and at ease after her discussion with her parents and the outcome of it. She's super happy and can't wait to see Khady to tell her about the good news, but there's no lecture today so she decided that she will visit Khady since it's been long she visited her and atleast she will get to know about the work maybe there's a vacancy for her to fit in.

She walks out of her room to do her morning chores and to great her parents. She said Salam in front of her parents' room and waited for their response.

"Walaikum Salam. Tehzeeb, you can come in, " answered her Umma.

"Good morning, Umma," she said to her mother before she turned to her father. "Good morning, Baba."

"Good morning, daughter," they replied at the same time

"Hope you have a beautiful night's rest, and the headache has subside," asked Umma

"Yes Umma Alhamdulillah,"

"Good to hear that."

"Let me get going so that I won't be late," Baba said, standing up

"Baba, what of your breakfast?" Tehzeeb asked her father

"Don't worry, dear. I will come back soon. "

"I will bring it for you. You can't start your day on an empty stomach, " Tehzeeb said, concerned

"As you wish my daughter," Baba said, smiling

"All the best. May Allah bring more customers. " she prayed for her father

"Ameen, my dear. Till I come back"

"Adawo lafiya," Umma answered. Tehzeeb gets up from her seating position "Umma let me go and sweep the compound and prepare the breakfast."

"No, just sweep the compound. I will come out now and prepare the breakfast myself, " and she left the room to the kitchen to arrange it first before her mother came out. When she was through with the kitchen, she swept the compound and entered her parents' room to arrange it before going to her own to arrange it. When she was done with the room, she went to the toilet to wash it before she bathed and dressed up.

"Umma, I am done. Where's Baba's food?" She asked her mother, adjusting her hijab

"Here it is. But you should eat first before you take your father's own to him. "

"No, Umma. Let me quickly go and give him, then I will come and take mine. "

"As you wish, but please be careful."

"In Sha Allah I will Umma" without much hesitation, she walks out of the compound and walks straight to her father's shop, where he sells food ingredients. The walk to her father's shop was not up to twenty minutes' walk, so she arrived quickly.

"Diyata. Hope you have eaten before you brought mine, " Baba asked

"Baba, let me arrive first before you start interrogating me," she whined

"I know you have not, so no need of pretending."

"Okay. Have not, but don't worry, I will do that immediately. I reach home, so now you eat yours and I will wait for you to finish eating before I leave. "

"No, let's eat together."

"No, Baba, that's yours. I will eat mine when I reach home. Let me be selling and you should eat. That way, no one will distract you from eating"

"Humm. Okay, as you wished, Ma, " He said, saluting her while she started laughing and seeing what her father was doing. She always finds happiness whenever she sees her father like this. It melts her heart, which makes her feel at peace. Tehzeeb was busy helping her father to sell things while he eats his food. Immediately he was through, he arranged the food flask inside the bag and handed it over to her. "Come and start going. You know you have not eaten, and the sun is already setting, " Baba said

"Ouch. That's hurt a lot, seeing my own father chasing me out of his shop, " she said, holding onto her chest, which made Baba laugh

"You're not serious, Tehzeeb. You better get going before your Umma sue me. "

"Don't worry, she won't. Bye Baba"

"Bye dear. Be careful on your way back, please. "

"Don't worry, Baba, I will. In Sha Allah," She left and quickly went back home.

Before she could say Salam Umma spoke, "Weldone Tehzeeb. It's now that you feel like coming back when you know you have not eaten your breakfast. Do you want to have an ulcer?" Umma complained while Tehzeeb used her right hand to hit her forehead a little. She expected this from Umma

"Am sorry, Umma. I just wanted Baba to eat before I come back so that I could assist him with his customers before he finished eating"

"Weldone Baba's nanny. You better go and eat. Look, " she said, pointing at the sky."The sun is already setting, and you have not eaten your breakfast. " Umma continues to complain. Tehzeeb quietly took her breakfast and began to eat because she knew Umma would continue to complain about her not coming back on time.

She finished cooking lunch before she went to meet her mother in the room.

"Umma, I want to go and check on Khady,"

"Can't you see there's sun. And moreover, your father is not around, so wait till he comes back. You're not going anywhere, " Umma said without giving Tehzeeb room to argue. Tehzeeb was about to talk when she heard Khady's voice. She hurriedly walked out to check if she was the one, or maybe she was daydreaming.

"Khady, is that you?" She asked, looking at her

"Hum hum it's you. Since you're blind now with your stupid question, " Khady replies

"Hold your horses. I was just planning to come to your place. "

"As usual, that's what you always say. Where is Umma abeg"

"She's inside," Tehzeeb reply smiling she knows she didn't visit Khady much, but still yet she still visited her. Khady, great Umma before they move to Tehzeeb's room

"So how far. Did Baba agree about your decision? " Khady asked, giving her full concentration to Tehzeeb, who, in return, changed her face to that of pity own

"Humm," Khady sighed. "I am sorry. I thought as much that Baba would not allow you and have already confirmed which the Hajiya said there's a vacancy for one person. But it's okay. Allah knows the best, and I know Baba wants the best for you. Cheer up, this is not the end of the world, " Khady said, petting Tehzeeb on her lap. Tehzeeb burst into fist of laughter, which Khady got confused

"Oh my God! Khady, I never knew you loved me this much. Was just pulling your legs to see your reaction Baba agreed." Tehzeeb said, still laughing but stopped when she saw that Khady was not laughing. "Babe, I am sorry. Was just joking with you. "

"You think this is a joke. After I finish lamenting everything to you, "

"Geez. Am sorry Khady okay"

"That is it. I am sorry, Khady. okay?. That's good and nice of you. You know what, I am out of here, " Khady said and was about to leave before Tehzeeb blocked her path. She knows Khady very well she easily gets angry and cools down easily at the same time, so she has to apologize to her again. " Am sorry, Khady. I didn't plan to say such an expensive joke with you. Forgive me please, and I promise not to do that again, " she said, holding her ears with her hand, but Khady didn't look at her until she started making her puppy face before Khady smiled

"It's okay, but please, next time, don't say such expensive joke. You got me hard. I was even worried for a while. "

"I won't do such a thing again. Am sorry. "

"It's okay. The owner of the shop said you can start tomorrow. So I think you need to tell Baba and Umma about it. I will be going. I told Ammi I won't be long, "

"Thank you for always being there for me. You're truly a germ, " Tehzeeb said, hugging Khady before they walk out to Umma's room for Khady to bid her farewell. Tehzeeb escorted her and returned home after Khady left.

She went straight to Umma's room since Baba was back for lunch

"Umma, Baba. Khady got the job for me, " she said, waiting for her parents' reply

"Alhamdulillah Tehzeeb. I pray this the best way, and may the Almighty Allah be with you always, " Baba prayed

"Ameen Baba"

"It's shall be well. I have trust in you and believe Allah will always be with you, " Umma said

"Thank you. Umma, " and she left to her room feeling excited about her work. She promised herself not to disappoint her parents nor disappointed the person who did not give her the opportunity to work in her shop even before seeing her. She's glad Khady was able to get the job for her.
