Chapter 17: Blood
Alissa's heavy eyelids made it difficult to see where she was. Her throat was dry as if she hadn't had waters for days. She moved her head and heard a clinking noise, finally waking up. The coldness of the metal collar froze her fingertips as she grazed it, confused as to what was going on. Part of her wanted to fight and leave, but the other part of her knew she had lost, and it was finally time to give up.
Soon enough, she heard footsteps coming down from the stairs; the small opening shining the bright light that was in the upper story of their home. Alissa shut her eyes, becoming irritated with the incoming migraine she was about to get.
"Oh good, you're finally up." Wyatt came around to check on her, dropping the folded blankets beneath her.
Alissa looked up, squinting and attempting to make out the face, hoping it wouldn't be who she expected. To her dismay, is was.
"W-Where is Celare?" Alissa cried out, looking at her surroundings with the palm of her hand, not letting the steel collar restrict her.
"Trust me, he's safe. Here." Wyatt threw a steel bowl in her lap. "Pump in there and let me know when you're done."
"W-Wyatt, please let me see him..."
Wyatt gave out an airy chuckle, shaking his head in disbelief as to how stupid she was being. He went back upstairs, leaving Alissa to cry while she was chained up against the water pipe of the basement.
———
"Yeah, we fucked maybe...once or twice." Andrew chuckled, leaning back against his bean bag chair as he snorted his fifth line of that day.
"Wow, is she that easy?" Lily rolled her eyes, a judgmental look plastering her face.
"Doesn't mean she's easy, just means she's good at it." He shrugged.
Hey, let's have lunch! Come by mine? Wyatt won't be home so we'll have the house to ourselves. - Al
Andrew looks down at the message notification from Alissa. Once he read it, he immediately rubbed the cocaine on his teeth, rushing to get ready.
"Why are you in such a hurry?"
"I'll drop you home on the way." Andrew grinned, hastily putting on his jeans.
Lily got up, sighing as she sipped the rest of her strawberry açaí refresher, before discarding it in the bin.
———
"Ugh! It's so dirty here, no wonder her socially anxious ass would live here." Lily took her steps carefully, trying not to get the dirt and grass in her Hermes sandals.
"We're almost there - well, until we find a house we'll be there."
Come in through the back door, you don't anybody seeing you okay? - Al
Andrew looked down at the last text message he'd receive, right before his phone started to lose signal.
"Andrew! There's no signal here, this always happens in a scary movie - let's go." Lily turned around, almost walking away before Andrew grabbed her wrist.
———
Alissa sat in the dark, cold basement all by herself, no other company besides a bunch of plastic androids that were in the next door room. Although it had been six hours since she was locked up, she felt her mind beginning to slide into insanity. She was desperate to talk to someone, anyone - but she couldn't handle it anymore. The need to get out got stronger with every thought that attempted it avoid the option.
She stood up on her knees, gulping as the collar began to tighten around her. Alissa slowly walked on her knees, trying to reach the tool box that lied on the shelf adjacent to her. Her collar began to tighten as she continued walking forward, taking in every breath she could. Until, the collar had locked around her neck firmly, letting her only reach a meter away from the shelf.
Alissa continued to reach her hand out, slightly tightening the steel restraint. Eventually, she couldn't take anymore and just went back, finally breathing as she mentally scolded herself. She tried the whole routine but this time with her foot - it still didn't work.
———
"How long are we going to wait for her? Give it up dude, she's in love with her psycho boyfriend and not you." Lily stated, sitting down near the lake, sighing as she somewhat sunbathed.
"This is so weird, we're always at each other's back door's, it's so weird she didn't open the door yet - or maybe she's waiting for me to come inside." Andrew shrugged, not wanting to believe she was blowing him off.
Andrew wandered around, finally finding a small tool shed located a little far off the back yard area. Curiously, he walked towards it, wanting to kill time until Alissa was done playing mind games with him. He opened the door, to his surprise - it was open.
"Who even leaves their tool shed open?"
Andrew looked inside, finally blood and eye balls surrounding the small space, in the corner, he found a gun. He picked it up; examining it. Unlike the rest of the space, this gun was the only clean thing inside. Just to experiment his rusty shooting skills, Andrew checked to see if it was loaded.
"Hey, look what I found." Andrew hollered to Lily, to which she ignored him.
He walked towards the girl, excited to show off his expertise. Andrew stood behind Lily, trying to figure out how to work the gun, until he accidentally pulled the trigger, impaling the back of Lily's head with the bullet.
"L-Lily?" Andrew cried out, leaning over to see if she was okay.
I was so exhausted today but ya girl managed to write one more chapter & I left this one short because the next chapter will have probably the biggest plot twist (hopefully you guys are shook)
What did you guys think of this chapter? Does Andrew need rehab? Is Lily just a bitter bitch? Also, how do you think Alissa will escape this situation? I'd love to hear your theories in the comments below!
Thank you for all the reads, votes, comments & feedbacks! x
