Chapter 2

Dean Winchester never exactly thought much about the forest, sure he and his brother had fought things that go bump in the night. But Dean wanted his little brother to have a normal life, or at least as normal as it can get. Dean had gone into the forest to search for something to kill, unaware that the forest he had been in a forest of skin walkers. As Dean walked through the forest, he heard howling coming from somewhere in the distance. Dean cocked his gun and walked further into the forest. Suddenly, as if on cue, a wolf attacked him. Upon instinct, Dean quickly fought back and shot at the wolf. It hit the wolf's head on but didn't slow it down. Dean cursed under his breath while he backed away. The wolf howled immediately as an entire pack of them approached Dean. Outnumbered four to one.

"Shit," Dean said instantly. "Skin walkers," he had regretted going into the forest without silver, which should have been the first thing he grabbed. "Next time I'm going to make sure that I come prepared," The skin walkers growled, and now that Dean knew what kind of creature he was dealing with he had to take off running since he didn't have the right gun nor the right bullets. The skin walkers chased after Dean, the older Winchester ran in fear, which was not normal for him. Dean hadn't seen a root sticking up from the ground and tripped over it. He had rolled down the hill and landed in the creek with a groan. The skin walkers stopped at the top of the hill and snorted, seeing that their prey had fallen into cold rushing waters.

"Son of a bitch!" Dean yelled as the wolves turned and took off in the opposite direction. Now cold and wet, Dean pulled himself out of the water and continued walking through the forest. He wasn't sure how far from civilization he had run, but from the way the sky looked, it had already gotten dark. Clouds were also forming on the horizon. Dean followed the river until he stumbled across a bridge, already freezing and worried he was about to get hypothermia, he walked across the bridge and noticed a rustic cottage, there was a light on the inside so he figured maybe it was a good place for him to stay for the time being. He'd travel back to his house in the morning. Dean walked toward the cottage and knocked on the door. "Hello?" he called out, his voice hoarse from the cold. "Can someone help me?" when no one answered, he tried the door only to find that it had been locked. He thought it would be a good idea to knock the door in, but immediately changed his mind. Pulling out his lock pick set, he began picking the lock until he heard a click and pushed the door open.

The cottage door creaked open as Dean walked through. He closed the door behind him and walked through the cottage. There was a fire in the fireplace, so someone must have been there. The small fire had warmed the cottage up and now that he felt slightly warmer, Dean walked up the stairs, which creaked like no one had walked on it in years.

"Anyone here?!" Dean called out yet again. He just hadn't noticed that a hideous creature was watching him from the shadows. Dean walked into one room and decided that it was best to take a shower. He changed out of his clothes and allowed them to dry off before taking a shower. Hot water poured over his entire body, as he now didn't feel like he was going to catch hypothermia. After Dean finished cleaning himself, he pulled on his now dried clothes and went to go crash on the bed. The older Winchester hadn't slept not over ten minutes before he heard someone speak.

"Who are you?!" yelled the stranger. Dean bolted awake to find a woman standing in front of him. Only she had veins popping out of every part of her body and had no hair what so ever. "I asked you a question!"

"Look um.. lady," Dean said, instantly getting out of the bed. "I don't mean to barge in here, but the door was wide open," Dean reached for a blade that he was hiding, however, the woman somehow figured out what he was planning to do and grabbed Dean by the arm, using a lot of her strength she threw Dean against the wall. The girl's strength had been strong enough to knock Dean out. Sarah couldn't believe what she had witnessed. A stranger had come waltzing into her house thinking that she was going to house him. That wasn't the case. She had lived in isolation for the last ten years and allowed no one to enter except for her friend Lena. Sarah dragged Dean down to the basement and tossed him in. Making sure that he was still unconscious, Sarah walked out of the basement and locked the door.

Back at the farmhouse, Sam was taking care of a couple of chickens and the horses, making sure that every animal was fed. While he took care of the farm animals, Becky had arrived at the house determined to get Sam interested in her. He had been holding back on his feelings for her, and she would not give up. Becky arrived at the house and looked for Sam, only to find him coming back from the stables. She ducked inside and sat at the table, waiting for Sam to enter. Sam stepped through the door and saw Becky sitting at the kitchen table.

"Becky..." Sam said worriedly. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to talk to you," Becky responded. "I don't see why you won't return my affections," she continued. "I mean, I'm the only one who hasn't talked about you behind your back." Becky got up and flicked her hair off her shoulder. She wasn't about to give up either she was going to have Sam's hand in marriage.

"Look Becky," Sam said. "You seem like a sweet girl, but I don't really see us together,"

"What?!" yelled Becky as she approached Sam and shoved him against the wall. "How could you say something like that?!"

"Do you want the full truth?" Sam answered as he took Becky's hand. For a moment, Becky seemed to forget what she was going to say. She had also been completely unaware that Sam was leading her directly to the front door. "You are sweet, and I admire the fact that you learned a lot about me and even tried to get into what I'm interested in." Sam used his free hand to open the door and let Becky out. "But you and me, we're never going to happen," Becky was about to protest when Sam slammed the door in her face and locked it. Becky frowned at the sight of what Sam had done. It angered her he didn't even want to get into her. Turning on her heels, she stormed away from the farmhouse and made her way back to town. Sam watched from the window as she got into her car and drove off. Sam scoffed and pulled the door open.

"I can't believe she would ever attempt to talk to me like I'm in love with her," Sam said in annoyance and tossed some seeds in front of the chickens and stormed away onto an open field. He needed some air and the only way was to walk away from the town while he still could. Sam sat underneath a tree he had found and mulled over everything that had gone down. In thinking, he pulled out his phone and attempted to call his brother, but it had gone straight to voicemail. Then a thought occurred to him, how come his brother hadn't sent him a text or even tried to call him. In fact, Dean should have been back by now, so what was the holdup. Now worried for his brother's sake, Sam called the telephone company and asked them to activate the tracking device on Dean's phone.

Once the phone company activated it, Sam got up from the ground and raced back to the farmhouse, where he pulled out the laptop and started tracking Dean's phone. After Sam hit enter, the computer pinpointed where Dean last was. The computer had also given Sam the address, where he jotted it down and placed it in his pocket. Packing what he needed, he walked out of the farmhouse and made his way toward the forest, which had been where Dean had last been. Sam stopped in front of the forest's entrance and took a deep breath.

"Don't worry Dean, wherever you are, I'm going to find you," Sam said. "No way am I going to lose you." Gathering up all the courage he possessed, Sam entered the forest in search of his brother.
