Chapter 1
It's funny how taking your saved money and jumping on a bus can make you exhilarated.
It was 10:35 PM and I was lounging on a bench in the middle of a bus station.
I looked over my shoulder and saw a girl with long red hair huddling by another bench, covered in blanket's.
I sweep my dark brown curls from my shoulder and focused on making my light blue eyes seem soft and comforting.
I walked to where she sat and dropped down both her on the cold gravel. She watched as I sat and brushing her straight hair with her fingers.
"Why are you here?" I asked quietly, seeing we were at a bus station with a bunch of people. "I'm finding my parents." She said.
A small smile lit across her face as she said that. It made me feel guilty that I was leaving mine for who knows how long.
"Where are you going?" I asked. "Wisconsin." She replied. "That's a long way considering we are in Delaware." I said sighing.
"Where are you going?" She asked getting slightly more comfortable. "I'm heading to Rhone Island to see my best friend." I said.
She nodded slightly confused. "My name is Millie." She said and stood up. "I'm Alexa." I now noticed the slight smell of gas and the loud sound of the breaks hitting the concrete.
I stood up, grabbed my bags and boarded the bus. I sat in a secluded spot in the front and pressed my cheek to fog the window.
Just a quick trip to Rhond Island. It brought me to my main question. Why am I doing this? I didn't know exactly why.
I think it had to to do with me wanting to say a proper goodbye. I sighed making the windows glass fog even more.
It was about 10:00 when the bus arrived at the airport. I got off with Millie and walked in the quiet but busy building.
I went to a ticket machine and typed in my parents code. How did I know this you ask? My parents told me.
After I printed out a ticket to Rhode Island, I was about to walk out but I noticed Millie getting rejected by a clerk.
I thought quickly but decided on going up there. "Millie! Come on, Moms waiting." I smiled and placed a hand on her shoulder.
She looked confused but quickly caught on. "Sorry big sister." Millie said and smiled convincingly. "Sorry, it's always been her dream to go to Wisconsin." I said laughing.
The oblivious woman smiled. "Maybe someday, when your older." She said and returned her to focus on her computer.
I dragged Millie to the ticket stand. "Do you have a ticket?" I asked. She nodded. "I have the numbers to get one." She said.
Soon she got her ticket and we headed to the plane gate. "See you around." She said happily and hugged me.
Then she turned and entered the plane. I plopped down on a free seat and waited.

Okay I was bored. I brought out my notebook and started sketching. After about ten minutes, I felt a tap on my shoulder after a little while and glared at the person who disturbed me.
"A-Are you waiting to board ma'am?" I young man gulped. I nodded and stood up. "Enjoy your flight." He said cheerfully.
"Thanks." I muttered.
