Spider-Girl was high above the ground, swinging up towards the top of the empire state building.

"Our final stop, the Empire State Building. Built from 1930-1931 and 102-stories. And designed by none other than Shreve, Lamb & Harmon and built." Spider-Girl said to herself.

'Do you have to say that on every building we land on?' Amity asked.

"Not even building. Just the historical ones, gotta show my pride in my city." Spider-Girl said as she landed on the top floor of the Empire State Building. "Plus, I had a history test yesterday. Got an A-."

'Nice to see you finally trying in school.' Amity said.

"Well, I had a good tutor. So thank you." Spider-Girl said as she gazed at the city from above.

One of the biggest cities in the world, so full of life and potential (both good and bad) all together in perfect harmony.

'This view doesn't get old, does it?' Amity asked.

"Nope, this city is always beautiful from this point." Spider-Girl said, walking to the edge and sitting down.

'Then how about we enjoy it together?' Amity thought before she separated from Luz, becoming human while sitting next to her.

The two remained silent as they looked out in awe at the city, seeing a flock of birds flying high above.

"You know, ever since I discovered my power, I haven't had time to really do something like this." Amity said, holding Luz's hand.

"I can guess. Something like that doesn't happen everyday here." Luz said.

"No, just every other day." Amity said with a grin, rolling her eyes. "Just like how guys like Shocker and Vulture don't appear every day."

"Well, we have strange lives here in New York." Luz said before pulling Amity close and kissed her cheek, making her blush. "And I wouldn't change them for anything in the world."

"Me either." Amity said as she placed her head in Luz's shoulder. "So, should we get back to swinging?"

"Nah, let's just enjoy the moment right now. It's not like anybody is looking for us right now." Luz said with a shrug.

"I'm not so sure about that." A new voice said.

Gasping in shock, Amity and Luz shot up and turned around to see Boscha was standing at the door to the roof!

'Who is she and how did she find us?!' They both thought.

"So, you're the famous Spider-Girl." Boscha said, looking at the two. "Let's see if you two are as strong as they say."

Reaching behind her, Boscha pulled out a a broken mop handle and spun it like a staff/spear.

'A nice little test to see if they have potential as a meister and weapon.' Boscha thought.

"We don't know who you are but trust me, you're making a big mistake." Luz said, putting her fists up.

"Especially with ME." Amity said, turning her hands into mauve goo and shifting them into giant hammer hands.

"Sure." Boscha said, smirking a bit.

'This will be fun.' Boscha thought.

Blitzing ahead, Boscha appeared before then ready to stab at Luz!

'She's fast!' Luz thought before jumping to the side to dodge, getting a tear in her shirt!

Seeing them, Amity quickly threw a left haymaker Boscha managed to avoid it with an expert cartwheel. Luz came over for a tackle, making Boscha stop and stab at Luz but she dodged it again!

'Too close!' Luz thought before she saw Boscha's hand then had an electric charge.

'Soul Force.' Boscha thought, before jabbing her palm into Luz's chest with explosive force!

"GUH!" Luz let out, blown away and off the roof!

"LUZ!" Amity shouted, lashing her arm out like a purple rope!

It wrapped around Luz's waist and pulled her back up!

"Come on, surely you two can do better than that." Boscha said, mocking them as she leaned against her weapon.

"Ugh! Okay, after that, I'm mad!" Luz said as Amity put her down. "Amity, it's time to spider up."

"Gladly." Amity said, fully turning into mauve goo and slithering over Luz's body.

'Finally.' Boscha thought.

Just from the Shocker fighter, Boscha could guess that whatever kind of weapon Amity was that she seemed to increase the physical abilities of her meister AKA Luz. Which explains Luz's combat skills were less than up to par.

"Here comes Spider-Girl!" She said as she sent out several tendrils at Boscha.

Boscha moved back to dodge but the tendrils followed, making her jump around the rooftop and slash at them with her weapon!

"Soul Force!" Boscha shouted with a palm thrust!

A shockwave hit the tendrils, making them fly back as Spider-Girl jumped at her!

'Sword and shield!' Luz thought to her partner.

'On it!' Amity thought as tendrils formed a sword and shield on Spider-Girl's hands.

'Interesting.' Boscha thought as Spider-Girl swung at her!

Boscha dodged attack and more as Spider-Girl pressed on, making her dodge more and block with her own weapon.

'Not bad.' Boscha thought, doding a slave that took a few strands of hair. 'They're farther along than I thought but I can tell they don't know how to do soul resonance.'

Boscha kept focusing on defense for now to study more about how Spider-Girl fights up close.

After a full minute of "fighting," Spider-Girl threw a kick and broke Boscha's weapon in half as she stumbled to the edge.

"Not bad but you still can't beat my soul force." Boscha said, dropping the broken stick.

Charging up her Soul Force again, Boscha ran at them as Spider-Girl switched to offensive defense.

"Shield! Maximum strength!" Spider-Girl said as she rushed forward with the shield!

'Trust me! That attack hits harder than Shocker!' Luz thought to Amity.

'Got it!' Amity said as she undid the sword and focused as much strength as she could into their shield arm.

"Soul Force!" Boscha shouted, throwing two charged fists into Spider-Girl's shield!

The force of the attack and the soul energy pushed through Luz and Amity, making them groan as they struggled to push Boscha back while trying to stay together!

They stayed in a stalemate for a moment, pushing back against each other in a power struggle as Boscha slowly grinned at them.

"Not bad but you two need more practice." Boscha said.

"More practice? In what?" Spider-Girl asked, pushing Boscha away as Amity/her suit stabilized.

"Working together." Boscha said as she slid to a stop. "A weapon and meister have to work as one. Not like how you two work as one."

"A weapon and meister?" Spider-Girl asked, confused.

"Yes. You, the person is the meister. And your girlfriend, the suit, is the weapon. Have you two NEVER heard of them?" Boscha asked.

"Have you never heard of New York City? This place is basically the super power hotspot of the world!" Spider-Girl said, gesturing to the city.

Boscha pinched the bridge of her nose, breathing in and out slowly.

"After this, I'm so telling Lord Death about opening schools in other parts of the country." Boscha mumbled.

As Boscha removed her hand, Amity formed her head on Luz's shoulder.

"So, what you're saying is, you know others with abilities like mine?" Amity asked.

"Yep! And trust me, pinky, you and Spidey here, have only scratched the surface of what a meister and weapon can do." Boscha said as she held up her hand, conjuring some Soul Force again. "Not to mention not even tapping into the power of your souls."

"Our souls?" Luz and Amity said, glancing at each other.

"Yes. And luckily for you, I am from a school specifically about this." Boscha said, smiling with pride. "The Death Weapon Meister Academy, DWMA for short, in Nevada."

"The DWMA?" Luz asked as the mask retracted to show her face, showing a look of recognition.

"Yes. That's it." Boscha said with a nod.

"... My stepmother says that's a dangerous place." Luz said, gaining a serious expression.

This caught Boscha off guard a bit. If Luz was telling the truth about her stepmother, then she should know the DWMA was a force for good.

But if she was saying it was dangerous place, even if it was only dangerous on very rare occasions, then only one thought could come to Boscha's mind.

'Her stepmother is a witch.' Boscha thought, gaining a mild glare.
