Chapter 39
"Oh damn, we were almost so dead. I can't believe you made me do that."
"He didn't see anything chill." I said and slapped his arm while laughing.
"Ha,ha,ha, you should have seen your face."
He looked back at me, while we walked across the street together towards his house. He pushed my shoulder and I almost fell over.
"Oh really? I'm sure I looked the same as you did, when we turned around." His eyebrows furrowed and his tone became sad crossing the street.
"That was pretty messed up what we did to Bri and all. We shouldn't have done that. She's probably heart broken now that it was a prank and I didn't send those texts for real."
I stopped him next to his truck in the driveway, before we headed inside. I grabbed his hand, pulling him into me.
"Hey, its Bri. You know we mess with each other all the time. You also know I have done worse."
He still was looking away from me at his house in deep thought.
"Travis look at me please." I said, swinging his hand back and forth. I needed to make him feel better. I hated to see him sad, it tore me up inside. He finally looked me in the eyes and I put my hand on his face.
"Just text her that none of that was your idea, ok? Your with me now, right? I can't have her crushing on you anymore anyway." I winked at him.
This made his eyebrows change higher and he smiled at me. He placed his arms around my waist.
"Oh really? Jealous much now?" He smirked.
I slapped at his hard chest, that seem to not faze him one bit.
"Oh stop it. Come on, even if she had a chance, she would have to wait to get with you until she was of age. Your turning 18 in a couple weeks remember?"
The door opened to his house and his mom came out. She greeted me and asked what we were up to. Travis looked a little nervous to what to say to her. He didn't obviously want to let her know we were talking about my little sister's silly crush, that was now probably crushed for good.
"Uh, we were thinking on going to creek for a while." He said real quick and I secretly laughed to myself for him making the same excuse I did to my dad. I held it back though with a nice smile on my face as they talked.
"Well I'm going to need you home by dinner. We need to discuss an important matter tonight."
"Why what is it?" He asked her with a concerned tone.
"It's a private family matter Travis." She looked at me with a sad face. "I'm sorry Kendall-" I cut her off and put my hand up waving it.
"It's fine Andrea, don't mind me."
"No." Travis replied, looking at me and then back at his mom all annoyed. "Kendall is a part of our family too mom-" I tried to cut him off, but didn't succeed. "She can't come too?"
"Travis like I said its a private matter. Just be home for dinner!" She yelled, then turned around and headed back inside the house.
"It's fine Travis, lets just get out of here."
He huffed a breathe out and looked at me apologetic. "I'm sorry, I have no idea what the hell that was all about. I'll tell you though later, k?" His smirk reappeared instantly. "So you really DO want to go to the creek with me?" Slowing down the word (do) in the process.
The creek was a popular make out spot for all the teenagers in town. We would go a lot to together to mess with the couples all the time. It was so fun to throw sticks at the girl's hair or rocks nearby and freak them out as they groped each other.
So everytime we said we were going to the creek to our parents, they knew what we really went there for. They would hear us talking about what we would do to them. Now that we were wanting privacy together though, after our encounter in the barn, his question meant something different.
"Maybe I do." I smiled and kissed him gently on the lips.
He moaned a little on my mouth, then slowly let go and fished for his keys in his pocket. He opened the passenger door to his truck.
"Then we're off my lady." He curtsied and I busted up laughing at his gesture. He was so funny.
"Ha,ha,ha, why thank you sir." I said, getting into the truck.
