After lots of researching, I decided to take things in my own matters and go ask Dream about her own history herself. I tried to reach her through the number she had texted me with before but to no avail. It seemed as if she had cut me off once more and I was left defeated, sitting there and moping. The boss decided to give me a break on the case after I told him I was making little progress for the meantime and gave me several other cases of theft and pick pocketing to follow up on.

Speckles of vivid white light blurred her vision as Dream woke up, head throbbing horribly. Her back ached and so did her hands which seemed to be tied up tightly at the moment, the rope scorching as it rubbed into her skin leaving thick red lines that would last for some time. She groaned, trying to get a clear vision of her current surroundings.

"Good morning, Jae."

The voice echoed in her ears as she let out a soft chuckle, "D.O., what is the meaning of this?" she muttered out, "Can't we have an actual talk?"

Footsteps closed in on her as a familiar face came into view, the dark gaze of the man hidden behind those scrutinizing monolids, back hunched ever so slightly as his pitch black hair hid his left eye, red and puffy. He looked absolutely awful, downcast and depressed. A pang of guilt hit her but she reminded herself that everything was but an accident. Still, she had not kept her word. Donning a simple outfit of a black short-sleeved shirt and jeans, the regal D.O. that usually wore a suit was nowhere to be found, the tattoos on his right arm now clearly visible and creating a rather neat-looking sleeve of doodles and the name, Irene, printed on it.

The man produced a bitter laugh, emotionless and dry, "We have nothing to talk about. You killed my wife, whom you promised to release. And then you proceed to kill Taeyong, my friend and ally whom I have known since I was a little child. So tell me, what more is there to talk?" he asked in a mocking tone, circling the chair that sat in the middle of the dark room.

Blinking a few more times, she craned her neck towards the wall that sat on her right. The room was very dark except for several spotlights that were connected at either corner of the four-walled area. The floors were a little wet and it took some time for Dream to realize that there was a flowing water at her back, the liquid sloshing around. Her ears perked up, hearing the little ripples echoing around her. The air smelled odd, humid and uncomfortable. She was glad that her current attire consisted of a ragged pair of grey jeans and a simple white t-shirt, although that was currently stained grey at several spots for several reasons.

"Kyung-soo," she whispered out, her throat feeling a little hoarse at the lack of moisture. The use of the man's real name brought his attention, his features softening ever so slightly, "We were both born of underworld backgrounds. We grew up knowing each other and formed different groups. You know how I am," she pleaded desperately, "I won't just break a promise. Irene," the man whipped his head around, eyes now blazing with fury, "her death was a mistake and I know that is no excuse," she muttered out, "so if you want to kill me, kill me now. But, leave my boys alone."

A flash of emotion streaked across D.O.'s features as he just stood there, glaring at the girl intensely. After what felt like forever, he finally spoke, "I do believe that what you are speaking is the truth," he muttered out in a low and throaty voice, "but Irene's death and Taeyong's death. They must be avenged. And your life alone will not make up for it," his gaze turned steely, fists clenching by his sides, "Danger must be destroyed. Thoroughly."

Dream felt something bubble inside her at those words, a new fury unleashing itself as she gritted her teeth, biting down on her bottom lip so hard that it bled, the crimson tainting her teeth a little as she held back the upcoming rush of tears, "You....I gave you a choice. And you are such a heartless...monster," she finally finished, trying to control her emotions.

D.O. didn't move, frozen at his place. Footsteps sounded from behind her as two figures appeared at either side of her chair. Dream's eyes widened, shocked at how she didn't notice the breathing of two men behind her. Maybe the water was affecting her hearing.

"You recognise Ji Yong over here," D.O. muttered, lifting a hand as Dream turned her face slightly. Indeed, it was the solo hitman, full of vigour and mischievousness. His gaze was cheeky as usual, hand flinging a knife back and forth, dressed in a simple black leather jacket and ripped black jeans. His hair was dyed a new shade of crimson red, fitting his aura perfectly at the moment, "After Taeyong and Irene, I decided to meet with him personally and we struck a deal," the man coughed out, "if he helped me destroy Danger, I would make him the leader of Enigma and step down."

The girl stared at him incredulously, mouth forming a little pout in complete surprise.

D.O. hung his head low, looking defeated, "and the man on your left," he continued after some time, "is somebody you should know all too well. He was the one who followed you and gave me the information regarding your whereabouts at both the hotel and the motel."

Filled to the brim with curiosity, Dream slowly craned her neck towards her left, heart beating rapidly in her chest. Her eyes widened when she caught sight of those familiar features, filled with guilt and a tinge of sadness yet hardened with maturity.
