Aurelia braked so hard she almost went flying over the handlebars. Somehow, she hadn't seen the large tree trunk obstructing the floor until too late. By the time Monty had caught up with his slow driving, she was already on her feet and moving towards the object. Confusion swirled her thoughts as her eyes inspected the bottom of the trunk. The tree hadn't just fallen by itself. It had been cut.
Her eyes frantically scanned the area as she inched backwards towards the passenger side door of the rover, slowly pulling her bow off her back. Her back pressed against the metal door as she continued to look around, making sure that nothing can sneak up from behind her.
"The tree was cut." She whispers, still not turning around to face the others. The rover rocked slightly as the others moved around inside, and Aura turned to find Bellamy sticking the upper half of his body out the top hatch. The slow creaking of a tree attracts their gaze, and they watch as the entire structure manages to crash hard onto the floor, completely obstructing the rover from reversing away.
That brief distraction is all it took for the girl to go off guard. A hand moves quickly from behind her, a dagger clutched in their hand, glinting under the sunlight filtering through the trees. The other arm quickly wrapped around her body, restricting her from moving her arms to defend herself.
"Well shit then." The girl muttered out as she watched more and more cloaked figures emerge from the trees, surrounding the rover in order to take control of the rest of them.
"Everybody out or the girl dies." A deep voice spoke, as Aurelia tried to lean away from the sharp blade pressed against her neck.
"Okay!" Kane shouts, "okay we'll come out! Don't hurt her!" One by one Monty, Kane, Bellamy and Indra tumbled out the back door, roughly handled by the other figures. Most of them get forcefully shoved to the floor, with Aurelia's shoulder roughly colliding with hard ground.
"Bastards," she grunted out in pain, looking up and finding Monty still on his feet, being held tightly as the flashing beacon gets plucked from him.
"Hey, that's mine! Give it back!" Monty screams, trying to worm his way out of their grip.
"Monty! Just leave it!" Bellamy yells from his position on the floor.
"Monty?" Another female voice speaks up in surprise. Aurelia couldn't even see anymore due to her head being held down aggressively.
"Mom?"
"Mom? What do you mean mom?" Aurelia questions in confusion, still annoyed at how she couldn't even turn her head anymore.
"Farm station, stand down." As Aura felt the pressure easy off her back, she lifted her upper body to get up. A snap caused the girl to freeze, looking down to realise her necklace had been caught under the farm station guard's foot. An uncontrollable anger flooded through her veins as she stared at the broken chain in shock. She leapt to her feet and lunged towards the guy, forcefully shoving him back and almost sending him flying to the floor.
"You absolute prick." She thundered, moving forward to hit the man again. Before she could, an arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her away, only making the girl angrier.
"Aurelia. Aurelia! Calm down." She tried to lunge again for a few moments, but eventually the anger she felt was replaced by defeat, her heart sinking as her eyes fell on the necklace lying on the floor. She pulled out of Bellamy's arms and bent down to pick it up, her hands trembling as she slowly thumbed over the tag.
"I- I don't know what came over me. I- He broke it and.." she couldn't bring herself to finish her sentence, her words getting caught in her throat. She didn't realise how attached she was to that necklace until that moment, and she doesn't know why it invoked such a strong emotion from within her.
Bellamy's large hands held onto her shaking ones, steadying them slightly. "Hey, it's okay. We can still get it fixed okay?" The girl nodded softly, still not able to take her gaze off the broken chain. The boy gently pried the necklace from the girl, realising the sight of it wasn't helping. "I'll hold onto it okay? I'll give it to Raven and she can fix it as good as new." He places it into one of his pockets before pulling the girl into a short hug and placing a kiss on
her temple.
Aurelia pulls away from the boy and turns towards the man she had shoved harshly. "Sorry." She apologised softly, before turning towards the other male who had removed his mask.
"Aurelia McKinley? Is that my star student." Aura gaped her mouth, only just recognising the man standing in front of her.
"It's nice to see you sir." She says softly, not knowing if her outburst had given a negative impression. Who was she kidding, she just went rogue and started beating someone up. They probably thought she was a psycho.
“How many of you are there?” Kane questions the former teacher, eyeing Aura warily to see if she was okay now.
“Sixty-three. The rest are camped in the mountains north of here. Grounder killers one and all. Am I right?!” Pike suddenly exclaims, getting cheers in response. Aurelia and Bellamy gave each other a strange look, not having expected this kind of negative atmosphere from Pike of all people.
“I hate to cut this short,” Bellamy interrupted, attracting the attention of the two leaders. “We've got to find Clarke.”
“Clarke Griffin?” Pike asks with a surprised look. “If only all of my Earth skills students were as good as her and Miss McKinley here.” Aura gave him an awkward smile, not really knowing how to respond.
After moving the tree out of the way, Aurelia walked back towards the rover, picking up her abandoned bow and slinging it back over her shoulder. The girl let out a sigh as she rested her elbows against the hood of the rover and put her face in her hands, her thoughts running several miles an hour in her head.
A hand on her shoulder pulled her out of her thoughts as she looked up, and found concerned eyes staring at her. “You okay?” Bellamy questioned, wrapping one arm around the girl’s shoulders. The girl shrugged slightly in response, instead choosing to lean into the boy and laying her head against his chest. He gently threaded his fingers through her hair as a display of comfort, whilst thinking what to say to the girl. “You should take the others back to Arkadia while we go after Clarke.” Aurelia quickly pulled away and looked at him like he was crazy.
“What? No, I'm coming with you.”
“Aurelia,” Bellamy took her face in his hands and looked into her eyes. “I can see you’re not okay. I have no doubt that you can kick ass but you’re not in the right space of mind for a mission.”
“But Bell, this is Ice Nation-”
“We’ll be fine Bambi, I promise. We have plenty of people and guns to take them out if we need. Plus, I’m sure Jasper needs you more.” Aurelia stared at him, contemplating whether she should fight against him or not. After a few moments, she nodded at him in agreement.
“Fine,” she mumbled, one hand reaching up to clasp onto Bellamy’s. “Just for Jasper though.” Bellamy smiled at her in adoration as he pushed back a strand of her hair, leaning in to place a short kiss to her lips which she eagerly responded to with closed eyes.
“I’ll see you soon okay?”
She nodded as he slowly walked away backwards. “Stay safe Bubba,”
“I will Bambi.” She waited a few moments before walking over to her bike, preparing to direct the rest of the farm station towards their new home.

The familiar walls of Mount Weather made Aurelia feel on edge. She knew there was no longer any threat from within the mountain, but it still made her skin crawl.
“He’s waking up.” Both Lincoln and Aura looked up to find Abby hovering beside them. While Lincoln went to greet his friend, Aurelia started making her way towards the exit of the medical room, not particularly wanting to be here anymore.
As she walked out the door she accidentally bumped into a short girl, who was making her way inside the room.
“Oh, Tavia, have you seen Jasper?” The younger girl shook her head in regret.
“I tried looking but I couldn’t find him anywhere.”
“That’s okay, i’ll have a look.” As she strolled past the younger Blake and down the many abandoned corridors, a distant sound of crashing objects caught her attention. She broke into a sprint towards the noise, but before she got to the room the crashing ceased into silence again. She pushed open a familiar steel door, and found the boy she had been looking for.
“Jas?” She questioned, her eyes taking in the various cracked wooden frames and smashed statues in a mess all over the floor. As she walked closer to the dejected boy, she realised he was staring at a large painting propped against the opposite shelf. She felt her heart clench as she looked at the boy, noticing the broken look in his eyes, and the tears threatening to spill over any second. She gently sat down next to the boy, making sure to not startle the boy. “Hey.”
“I’m fine.” The two fell into a deafening silence as they stared at the painting together. “This was her favourite.” The painting itself wasn’t anything like the other paintings Aurelia had seen. This had much more violent undertones compared to the others, which were more ethereal and optimistic. “It represents the second circle of hell. Pretty ironic if you think about it.” Aurelia listened as the boy talked, this being the most that Jasper had spoken about Maya Vie since the tragic incident. “I told her I liked it but- I don’t know.” His voice cracked slightly as he spoke, the pain still feeling as fresh as it had initially felt. “I miss her.” Aurelia allowed him to place his head in the crook of her neck, and in turn, she rested her head against his whilst one arm rubbed his back in comfort.
“It’ll get better.” she reassures gently, trying to steady her voice to stay strong for the boy. “It may take a few more weeks, or a few more months. Maybe even a few more years, but it will get better. And i’ll be here every step of the way to help you piece your heart back together.” She felt Jasper shake as he cried into her, his muffled sobs eventually causing the girl to let out her own tears.
As much as this hurt Aurelia, she was also happy. Jasper had finally opened up to the girl and expressed his true emotions in a sober manner, and she only hoped that this wouldn’t be the last time.

Her road to recovery isn't gonna be linear, which is why I thought it was important to include a scene where she didn't feel so okay.
