Chapter 44
A month later after the incident Novac and it's forest were in ally hands and the skies were clear of any threats.
It was also thanks to the Kitsune Empire and the few royal knights from King Alexander IV's kingdom.
However. It was just the a little bit to easy.
Because after Novac is the country called Codsworth.
Codsworth is Pro-Theocracy. Or in what the UNE calls them, war-criminals, pro-slavers, and false priests. And the priests talks about their vision of god that demi-humans and non-humans(Yes, even elves) are demons and that humans are the supreme master race. More or less, the priests were brainwashing people for their beliefs and the corrupt priests use it to gain more followers.
They were also attending assassinations on leaders of demi-humans, Coups and terrorist activities in other kingdoms.
Including, having the once-mighty dragon-man that attacked any UNE personal or their allies a month prior. In other words, Codsworth is responsible for the deaths UNE and URK troops that were killed by him.
Unbeknownst to Codsworth, the dragon-man had met his end in the skies above the ocean, thanks to the collaborative efforts of UNE military personnel and mystical allies.
As Codsworth remained oblivious to the dragon-man's demise, the world outside continued to brace itself for the impending conflict with this theocratic threat. The alliance forged in Novac Forest now faced the challenge of extending their reach to confront the oppressive forces of Codsworth, unraveling the dark web of deceit and hatred woven by the false priests.
The nations and leaders involved in the Novac Forest incident now found themselves united once again, this time against a common enemy that sought to impose its twisted ideology on the world. The echoes of the past battle lingered, serving as a reminder of the resilience required to face the ever-evolving challenges in a world where the lines between magic and technology, ancient powers and modern warfare, blurred in the pursuit of a harmonious existence.
Feline Empire joined in as they had some losses or people missing.
The lush and challenging jungle environment of Codsworth posed a unique set of challenges, reminiscent of the historic conflicts in Vietnam and the Philippines. The Feline Empire, with their natural affinity for jungle environments, became a crucial asset, navigating the dense foliage with agility and keen senses.
The UNE's contribution of Marines from various nations—United States, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, and Australia—brought a wealth of military expertise. Their combined forces, honed through diverse training and experiences, presented a formidable front against the oppressive regime in Codsworth.
The coalition, now strengthened and unified, embarked on a mission to dismantle the false theocratic rule that had plagued the region. The jungle became a battleground where the skills of the Feline Empire's warriors, the precision of the UNE Marines, and the combined might of mystical allies from Novac Forest converged.
As the coalition advanced deeper into Codsworth, they faced not only the physical challenges of the environment but also the ideological warfare waged by the false priests. The intricate dance between modern military tactics and the mystical arts showcased the diversity and adaptability of the coalition forces.
The campaign unfolded as a multifaceted struggle, blending traditional warfare with the complexities of battling an entrenched theocracy. The collaboration between the Feline Empire, UNE Marines, and mystical allies forged an alliance that transcended borders, united by the common goal of bringing an end to oppression and injustice.
The jungle, once a silent witness to the atrocities committed by Codsworth's rulers, now echoed with the determined footsteps of the coalition forces. The battle for Codsworth had just begun, and the outcome rested on the shoulders of those who stood united against the darkness that threatened to engulf the land.
In one of the few Forward Operating Bases that is between the borders of the Feline Empire and Kitsune Empire is about a hundred of military vehicles, equipment, and gear.
The base housed about 12,000 marines, 100 kitsunes, and 200 Feline Empire knights.
In one of the many tents of the base is USMC Captain Anthony Towson who was on a tablet checking off stuff. Until...
"Excuse me!" Yelled a prideful and slight annoying voice from a Feline Empire knight. Anthony sighed silently in annoyance as he looked up at the woman.

She was a tall, probably the same height as him and looked at him like he was just a private.
"What is it?" He said with narrowing eyes.
She still looked at him like a private, "I'm looking for the American marine of the rank of captain and titled Viscount named Anthony Towson! Where must I find him!" She continued to yell.
Anthony's eyebrow twitched in complete annoyance, "Your looking and yelling at him."
The Feline Empire knight paled now realizing her fuck up.
Captain Towson raised an eyebrow at the Feline Empire knight's sudden realization. He continued to observe her with a mix of amusement and impatience.
"Well, you found him. What do you want?" he asked, keeping his tone steady despite the irritation he felt.
The Feline knight, recovering from her embarrassment, straightened her posture and tried to regain some composure. "My apologies, Captain Towson. I am Sylveria of the Feline Empire, and I've been instructed to work with you and your unit in the upcoming operations against the Codsworth regime."
Anthony sighed internally. It seemed like this partnership was starting on a slightly rocky note. He glanced down at his tablet, then back at Sylveria. "Alright, Sylveria. Welcome aboard. We've got a lot to coordinate, so let's keep it efficient. Any particular skills or preferences you bring to the table that I should be aware of?"
Sylveria, now more composed, nodded. "I am proficient in both traditional combat and the mystical arts. My skills include reconnaissance, stealth, and close-quarters combat. Additionally, I can harness elemental magic, specializing in fire and wind."
Anthony nodded. "Good. We'll find a way to integrate your abilities into our strategies. Now, let's get down to business. We have a theocracy to dismantle, and I don't want to waste any more time."
As they delved into the operational details, the tension eased, and a sense of purpose filled the tent. The alliance between the Feline Empire, Kitsune Empire, and the UNE Marines became a force to be reckoned with, poised to bring justice to Codsworth.
As Anthony and Sylveria delved into the operational details, a gentle rustle interrupted their conversation. The tent flap lifted, and a female kitsune, adorned in elegant attire, gracefully entered.
"Captain Anthony Towson," she spoke with a respectful bow, her nine tails swaying behind her. "I am Kohana, emissary of the Kitsune Empire. His Majesty, King Vincent Towson, sends his regards and wishes to express his gratitude for your collaboration in these crucial times."
Anthony acknowledged Kohana with a nod, appreciating the diplomatic formality. "Tell my brother I appreciate the sentiment. We're here to work together and ensure the success of our joint efforts."
Kohana's eyes glinted with a mixture of curiosity and determination. "King Vincent also wanted to inform you that, should you require any assistance from the Kitsune Empire or have specific requests, we are at your disposal. Our magical abilities and knowledge of the region may prove valuable in our shared mission."
Anthony considered this information. "I appreciate the offer, Kohana. We'll keep it in mind. Right now, our focus is on dismantling Codsworth's regime and bringing an end to their atrocities."
Kohana nodded in understanding. "May our alliance be fruitful and lead to the liberation of these lands from the forces of darkness. If there's anything else you require, Captain Towson, do not hesitate to let us know."
With that, Kohana gracefully exited the tent, leaving Anthony and Sylveria to resume their strategic discussions. The collaboration between the Feline Empire, Kitsune Empire, and the UNE Marines continued to solidify, creating a united front against the looming threat of Codsworth's oppressive regime.
In another part of the FOB in the armory, the quartermaster(a Japanese Marine) was checking the innovatory when a two Australian and Korean marines walked up to him.
"Oi, mate, got a minute?" the Australian marine inquired, his accent cutting through the air.
The quartermaster nodded, "Yeah, what's up?"
The Korean marine spoke up, "We were wondering if there are any advanced recon gear available. We'll be going deep into the jungle, and having some cutting-edge equipment could make a difference."
The quartermaster leaned back, considering their request. "Advanced recon gear, huh? Let me check what we've got in stock." He began to type on his computer, pulling up the inventory database.
The Australian marine raised an eyebrow, "Anything with thermal imaging would be a bonus. Those jungles can get pretty dense, and it's a pain spotting threats."
The quartermaster nodded, "Understood. We've got a few sets of advanced recon goggles with thermal imaging capabilities. They're designed for stealth and jungle environments. Give me a moment."
As he continued to search the inventory, the Australian marine slapped his Korean companion on the back. "Mate, imagine spotting those Codsworth blokes before they even know we're there."
The Korean marine chuckled, "Yeah, that'd be the day. Let's hope the quartermaster works his magic."
After a brief search, the quartermaster grinned, "Lucky for you, we've got a couple of sets left. Here you go, mates." He handed over two sets of advanced recon goggles with thermal imaging to the Australian and Korean marines.
The Australian marine clapped the quartermaster on the shoulder, "Cheers, mate! This will come in handy. Ready to give those Codsworth bastards a surprise they won't forget."
The Korean marine nodded, "Thanks a lot. This gear might be the edge we need."
As the marines left the armory with their new equipment, the quartermaster returned to his inventory check, ensuring that every piece of advanced gear was allocated to the right hands for the upcoming mission into the heart of Codsworth territory.
As the quartermaster delved back into his inventory duties, Private First Class Hanako Matsuda, a young Japanese Marine, entered the armory. She approached the quartermaster with a respectful salute.
"Permission to speak, sir?" she asked.
The quartermaster returned the salute and nodded, "Granted. What can I do for you, PFC Matsuda?"
Hanako hesitated for a moment before explaining, "I've heard there might be some specialized equipment for close-quarters combat. I'm part of the recon team, but there might be situations where we get up close and personal with the enemy. I was wondering if there's anything that might help in those situations."
The quartermaster considered her request, understanding the need for versatile gear. "Close-quarters combat, huh? Let me check what we've got." He went back to the inventory database, typing away to find suitable equipment.
While he searched, Hanako glanced around the armory, taking in the array of weapons and gear neatly organized on the shelves. The sounds of Marines preparing echoed in the background.
After a brief moment, the quartermaster looked up and grinned, "I've got just the thing for you, PFC Matsuda." He reached for a compartment and pulled out a compact, collapsible combat knife with a serrated edge. "This here is a specialized combat knife. It's designed for close-quarters situations and has a durable serrated edge for versatile use. It's lightweight and easy to carry. Perfect for recon teams getting into tight spots."
Hanako's eyes lit up with appreciation as she took the combat knife in her hands. She inspected the blade with a nod of approval, "Thank you, sir. This will definitely come in handy."
The quartermaster saluted, "Stay sharp out there, Marine. If you need anything else, you know where to find me."
Hanako returned the salute, "Will do, sir. Thank you again." She exited the armory, ready to join her fellow Marines in the upcoming mission with her new close-quarters combat tool.
