Chapter 37

About two weeks later, we open to the farther lands to see a large sum of the Demon Army and a portal to the Demon realm.

In middle where the portal is, we see the Demon Army Main General sitting on a makeshift throne.

"Report," his voice echoed through the desolate landscape, tinged with a hint of boredom that sent a shiver down the spines of both the male and female generals, who stood nervously awaiting his command.

The male general stepped forward, his voice quivering slightly as he delivered the dire news. "Main General, our forces have suffered significant losses in the recent engagements with the allied troops. Our numbers have dwindled, and our stronghold is at risk. The portal to the Demon realm is under constant threat of being breached by the opposing forces."

The female general, her expression reflecting a mix of apprehension and concern, added, "We lack the resources and reinforcements to mount a substantial defense. The allied troops are relentless, and their unity poses a formidable challenge."

The Main General, though visibly weary, maintained an air of authority as he contemplated the grim situation. His expression hardened, a glint of determination flickering in his eyes despite the overwhelming odds stacked against them.

"Prepare what forces remain. Strengthen the defenses around the portal. We cannot afford to let it fall into their hands," he commanded, his voice resonating with a newfound resolve. "Send word to our allies in the neighboring realms. We need their support now more than ever. We must stall the allied troops until reinforcements arrive."

The generals, though apprehensive, nodded in acknowledgment of the Main General's orders. With a sense of urgency, they hurriedly departed to carry out his directives, leaving the Main General alone with his thoughts.

Sitting upon his makeshift throne, the Main General contemplated the grim reality of their situation. The imminent threat posed by the allied troops and the dwindling forces of the Demon Army weighed heavily on his mind. Yet, a glimmer of determination remained, a flickering ember of hope amidst the encroaching darkness.

In the farthest lands, amidst the turmoil and impending confrontation, the fate of the Demon Army hung in the balance, poised for a final stand against the relentless onslaught of the allied forces.

The scene unfolds rapidly as a fleet of F-22s, F-35s, MiGs, and dragons soar through the skies, hurtling toward the location where the beleaguered Demon Army stands. Amidst the aerial display, a voice crackles through the comms, resonating with determination and resolve.

"This be the final push against the Demon Army! Let's do this!" proclaimed the Ukrainian air force pilot, his voice carrying a fervent call to action as the aircraft thundered toward their target.

A dragon, distinguished by a specialized headset enabling communication with the pilots, interjected with a strategic plan, his voice resounding amidst the rush of air and thunderous engines.

"This bombing and fireball run will cripple their defenses and force some to retreat into the portal," articulated the dragon, his words echoing across the skies, outlining the calculated strategy poised to disrupt the Demon Army's defenses and potentially scatter their forces into disarray.

As the aircraft and dragons closed in on their target, a palpable tension filled the air, a sense of anticipation for the decisive moment when the combined might of aerial bombardment and draconic firepower would unleash upon the beleaguered Demon Army, tipping the balance of the battle in favor of the allied forces. The impending clash between magic, military technology, and ancient power surged closer, heralding the culmination of a fierce confrontation between realms.

Suddenly, the skies erupted into a cacophony of thundering engines and roaring flames as the combined aerial assault commenced upon the Demon Army's stronghold. Explosions echoed across the landscape, painting the horizon with bursts of fiery destruction.

F-22s and F-35s unleashed a barrage of precision strikes, their munitions honed to target the Demon Army's strategic positions. The deafening roar of their engines accompanied the onslaught, delivering devastating payloads with pinpoint accuracy, tearing through the demonic defenses and causing havoc among their ranks.

In concert with the modern aircraft, dragons soared gracefully, their majestic forms casting shadows over the battleground. With a powerful flap of their wings, they released torrents of fireballs that streaked through the sky, converging upon the Demon Army's strongholds. The searing infernos blazed upon impact, engulfing the enemy's fortifications in a blaze of destruction.

The orchestrated chaos unleashed by the combined assault sent shockwaves through the Demon Army's dwindling forces. Chaos and pandemonium ensued as the demons scrambled to defend against the relentless barrage, some driven into disarray and forced to retreat towards the damaged portal.

As explosions continued to rock the battlefield and fireballs soared through the air, the Demon Army's defenses began to falter under the overwhelming might of the allied forces. The strategic precision of the assault disrupted their formations and shattered their once-firm resolve, compelling some to retreat hastily toward the damaged portal in a desperate bid to escape the onslaught.

Amidst the chaos and destruction, the rallying cry of the allied troops grew louder, their determination bolstered by the sight of the Demon Army's weakening defenses. With resolute determination, they pressed forward, capitalizing on the momentary advantage gained by the devastating aerial assault.

The skies, once filled with the tumultuous clash of magic and technology, gradually began to clear as the allied forces seized the momentum, driving the Demon Army back and closing in on the damaged portal that stood as the gateway to the demon realm.

The combined efforts of modern airpower and ancient dragon fire had turned the tide decisively in favor of the allied forces, pushing the beleaguered Demon Army to the brink of defeat as they struggled to hold their ground amidst the relentless onslaught. Victory hung in the balance as the allies surged forward, poised to deliver the final blow against the retreating demonic adversaries.

With the Demon Army's defenses significantly compromised and their forces in disarray, the fighters and dragons, having dealt a decisive blow, began to pull away from the battleground. The thunderous roar of engines and the majestic flapping of dragon wings echoed across the sky as the allied forces swiftly maneuvered away from the war-torn zone.

The F-22s, F-35s, MiGs, and dragons soared through the atmosphere, gradually veering away from the site of the conflict. The aircraft executed deft aerial maneuvers, regrouping and maintaining a strategic distance from the chaotic battleground, their mission accomplished for the time being.

The dragons, having unleashed their fiery onslaught upon the Demon Army's stronghold, banked gracefully in the sky, their majestic forms illuminated by the fading sunlight. With a coordinated display of aerial prowess, they veered away from the battlefield, their powerful wings propelling them toward a distant horizon.

As the allied forces withdrew, a sense of accomplishment and relief permeated the air. The pilots and dragon riders communicated in hushed tones over their comms, acknowledging the success of their coordinated assault while remaining vigilant for any potential counterattacks from the retreating demon forces.

The battleground below gradually receded into the distance, the chaos giving way to an eerie calmness as the allied forces distanced themselves from the aftermath of the fierce confrontation. Smoke billowed from the scorched earth, remnants of the fiery assault that had battered the Demon Army's defenses.

The fighters and dragons maintained a disciplined retreat, their departure signaling the end of the immediate conflict. However, amidst the departure, a cautious readiness remained, recognizing that the battle against the Demon Army might not be entirely concluded.

With the skies gradually clearing and the landscape below fading from view, the allied forces made their strategic exit, leaving behind a battlefield shrouded in the echoes of their decisive victory. The retreating forces regrouped, ensuring readiness for any potential resurgence of the demonic threat, as they ventured forth, their mission accomplished for the moment.

In the distance, the US submarine launched the tactical nuclear ballistic missile, its trajectory piercing through the skies with a purposeful determination, aimed directly at the location housing the remnants of the Demon Army and the compromised portal.

Lieutenant General Cole, positioned strategically far from the blast radius, observed the launch with a discerning gaze. As the missile soared through the atmosphere toward its intended target, a sense of resolution and finality filled the air.

"Score two for the allies," Cole remarked, his voice tinged with a hint of grim satisfaction, acknowledging the decisive actions taken to neutralize the lingering threat posed by the Demon Army and their access point to the demon realm.

With deliberate precision, Cole adorned a pair of specialized sunglasses, their purpose known only to him. The scene was steeped in an aura of calculated finality as the missile continued its trajectory toward the targeted location, poised to eliminate the lingering remnants of the demonic threat.

The atmosphere crackled with a subdued tension, a moment frozen in time, the outcome hinged upon the imminent impact of the nuclear missile upon the designated area.

Suddenly, the missile reached its apex, poised at the pinnacle of its trajectory, before beginning its descent towards the intended target with unwavering determination.

The detonation occurred in a brilliant flash of blinding light, the skies illuminated momentarily by the intense burst of energy as the nuclear missile made contact with its mark. An ear-splitting roar accompanied the explosion, followed by an overwhelming shockwave that reverberated across the distant horizon.

The aftermath of the detonation sent shockwaves rippling through the air, the force of the explosion obliterating the location that harbored the last vestiges of the Demon Army and the compromised portal. The skies were momentarily engulfed in a brilliant display of destructive power, casting a radiant inferno upon the desolate landscape.

The blast obliterated everything within its vicinity, leaving behind a barren expanse where once stood the stronghold of the demon forces. Smoke billowed into the sky, a haunting testament to the obliteration of the lingering threat posed by the Demon Army.

Lieutenant General Cole, shielded from the blinding brightness by his specialized sunglasses, observed the aftermath with a sense of somber finality. His expression remained stoic, betraying little emotion as he witnessed the resolution of the conflict that had threatened the realms.

The landscape, now transformed into a scorched and desolate terrain, stood as a silent testament to the annihilation of the Demon Army's stronghold and the closure of the portal to the demon realm. The echoes of battle faded into the distant horizon, replaced by an eerie quietude that settled over the aftermath of the nuclear detonation.

With the destruction of the Demon Army's last stronghold and the sealed portal, the threat they posed had been decisively eradicated, ensuring the safety and security of the realms against their malevolent influence.

As the dust settled and the remnants of smoke dissipated into the air, a profound silence enveloped the scene, marking the end of a conflict that had raged across lands and realms. The combined efforts of the allied forces had culminated in the vanquishment of the demonic threat, bringing a sense of closure to the tumultuous struggle that had unfolded.

Amidst the desolate aftermath, Lieutenant General Cole, a figure cloaked in resolve and determination, turned away from the scene. With a solemn nod, he signaled the completion of the mission, acknowledging the finality of the decisive action taken to ensure the eradication of the Demon Army's presence.

As he made his departure from the desolate landscape, the echoes of the conflict slowly faded into the annals of history, marking the end of a chapter fraught with battles and sacrifices, and heralding a new era of peace and stability across the realms.

A while later, a smiling Sook as she is sitting behind a wall.

Then she checks her watch then a look of confusion is on her face. It cuts to Chris who does the same.

"Where's our pickup?" She said as Chris grabs his canteen with a worried look on his face, "Shit."

It then cuts to the both of them walking in the desert with only them and distance fires in the background.

Suddenly, the sound of something roaring by causes Sook and Chris to immediately go to prone a position as they heard the noise.

Sook began speaking in fear, "Fucking Demon, Chris. Motherfuck, it's gotten the base."

Chris trying to stay calm spoke, "We don't know that. They could be friendly."

"You ever hear friendly fire like that?"

More of the sound roaring by.

"Fuck!"

It then cuts to the both of them running up a berm with multiple footprints and tire tracks.

It was then they hear the sounds of multiple people screaming.

Sook still in fear spoke, "Jesus, you hear that? What is that?"

Chris now in fear spoke, "Screaming." He said and now worried about his brothers on the base.

"Demon Army, Chris, over this berm."

Chris starts putting a fresh magazine in his M27 and loading a round.

Sook begins getting confident, "Ready? Are you ready? Let's fucking get those motherfuckers. I'll cover you." Both of them started running up the berm, "GO! GO! GO! GO! GO! GO! GO!"

The screaming is still heard as it then cuts to the top of the berm where two shovels dug in with helmets on top of them as the screaming intensified when the duo is sneaking up as they look at helmets that also have gas mask on them.

Let's just say, they're scared shitless.

The kept on sneaking up with a look of fear. As they got to the top.

It wasn't screaming it was cheering as they see their brothers & sisters in arms throwing their jackets and/or stuff in a big fire pit. The duo however, has now a look of confusion, relief, surprise, shock and bewilderment.

Chris was the first to speak, "Ayo, what the fuck?!"

Sook was still confused, "What? I don't? What?"

"I have so many questions."

Fight the power by Public Enemy was heard playing on the base loudspeakers.

The duo slowly walked down the berm as the music intensified.

"Oh shit!?" It cuts to a view of a shirtless Anthony with a cigar & clipboard, a muthafuckin smile on his face, "You motherfuckers were still out there?" He turns to Sook while putting the cigar in his mouth, "Sarge? You didn't get memo, did you?" Both of them shook their heads, "Having a little party, you're little overdressed."

He points at their dusty dirty combat gear.

Anthony still smiling spoke with a whole lot of enthusiasm, "The shit is over muthafuckas, you didn't die." He offers a cigar to his brother Chris, "Have a cigar lil bro." Chris takes it, "It won't kill you. Whoo!!! Party on!"

Artem comes up behind the two smiling and drunk, "Hey motherfuckers," he grabs both of their shoulders. "did get fucking kill!? Huh? Did get fucking kill, Sook?"

Sook was still confused but a little sad, "No."

"Oh, shit." He let's go of both of them, "But fuck it. This fucked up rodeo is over! We're going home!" He laughs in joy, "Whoo!"

Stepan is then shown taking off his boonie hat, "Get those old camies guys & gals." He points at his, "I'm burning all these. We don't need 'em anymore." He said as he throws them in the fire.

Kuribayashi and another Japanese marine are seen cheering, "Whoo! Yeah!! We killed those demons, guys!! THERE'RE FUCKING HISTORY!!!" She tosses her helmet and kicks it, "YEAH, THEY'RE FUCKING HISTORY!!!"

David is seen taking off his undershirt, "We never have to come back to this shithole, ever again!" He throws his undershirt in the fire as the allies cheered.

It then cuts to the duo with a calm but saddened look.

Sook looked at the M40A4 Remington sniper rifle she was just issued with a saddened expression, "I never shot my rifle."

Chris looks at her. He then looks like he's thinking then turns to look back at to Sook, "You can do it now."

Sook then looks at the sky, points her sniper rifle up in the air, turns the safety off, and fires her sniper.

As that happened, everyone else does the same with their firearms including Chris.

It cuts to David firing a M249 SAW with one hand and a smile on his face. Then it cuts to Kuribayashi who's shooting a Type 20, Vincent unbutton shirt and shooting a M18 Pistol and Artem shooting a PKM. All three of them had a smile on their faces.

It then cuts to a view of Anthony with a cigar in his mouth and shooting a M240B as he yells with a cigar in his mouth, "OORAH!!!!"

Then cuts to a view of URK Army Scout Underofficer 3rd Class shooting an M60E1 one handed.

A URK Army Scout Underofficer 3rd Class is the equivalent of a Sergeant.

It then cuts back to David shooting the M249 but, with both hands this time. The view then changes to show almost everyone shooting a gun in the air.

It then cuts back to the Scout Underofficer 3rd Class finishing shooting his M60E1. As he breathes in relief. As it cuts back to Vincent with his arms raised M18 still in hand and falls to his knees yelling inaudible battle cry as in the background we see Jacob is shooting a M4A1 with not a care in the world.

It then cuts back to the duo with happy looks on their faces as Sook takes off her boonie hat and Chris lowers his M27.

The two look around their fellow brothers & sisters in arms celebrating their victory. Showing that everyone is celebrating and having a great time.

The two look up to the night sky.

The night sky stretched above them, a canvas painted with stars twinkling in the darkness, casting a serene glow over the celebratory scene below. The sound of laughter and cheers echoed amidst the camaraderie of soldiers and marines, united in their triumph and relieved to have emerged victorious from the harrowing conflict.

Sook and Chris stood amidst their comrades, the weight of the recent battles momentarily lifted from their shoulders. They exchanged a glance, a silent acknowledgment of the trials they had faced together and the bond forged through adversity.

The night air carried with it a sense of peace, a respite from the turmoil that had consumed their days. The celebrations continued, a testament to the resilience and courage displayed by those who had fought valiantly against the forces of darkness.

As the festivities unfolded, Sook and Chris found themselves drawn into the jubilant atmosphere, joining in the revelry with their fellow warriors. Amidst the laughter and jubilation, a sense of unity prevailed, binding them together in the shared triumph over a formidable adversary.

The night wore on, the celebrations persisting into the early hours, a collective release of tension and a celebration of life amidst the chaos of war. The distant fires illuminated the faces of the soldiers and marines, each expression reflecting a mix of relief, joy, and gratitude for the victory attained.

With the night sky as their witness, Sook and Chris stood side by side, a silent testament to their unwavering resolve and steadfast dedication to their comrades. The stars above seemed to shine brighter, casting their ethereal glow upon the scene below, where warriors celebrated a hard-fought triumph, united in their shared purpose.

Amidst the celebrations and the exuberant revelry, a sense of camaraderie enveloped them, transcending the boundaries of nations and races, forged through the trials of battle and the triumph of victory. The night echoed with the laughter and cheers of soldiers and marines, bound by a common purpose and an unbreakable spirit.

As the night drew to a close, the soldiers and marines gradually began to disperse, their celebrations tapering into the gentle embrace of dawn. The distant fires flickered in the darkness, a lingering testament to the fervor of their victory, while the stars above bore witness to the unity and resilience of those who had stood together in the face of adversity.

Sook and Chris stood for a moment longer, gazing up at the tranquil night sky, their hearts filled with a sense of accomplishment and a deep appreciation for the camaraderie forged amidst the trials of battle. With a final glance at each other, they nodded in silent understanding before joining their comrades in the remnants of the celebrations, marking the end of a chapter in their shared history, and the dawn of a new era of peace and unity among allies.
