Late Night Dives

We went out late at night

To frolic around in the pool;

There's something to be said

About blending in with the dark.

You no longer feel vulnerable

In your bathing suit.

The cold chill of the pool water

Energizes you.

J and E said "Let's all jump in. One, two, three!

I jumped in and surfaced to them

Laughing,

Still standing on the concrete.

"We got you!"

"You guys stink!" I laugh back.

They tricked me into getting wet first.
