Lyn Storm

*beep* *beep*

I groaned as I flipped over to my side and grabbed the alarm clock.
"You spoilt my sleep...now die." I growled as I threw the alarm clock towards the door and dug my head inside the soft pillows.
"Wake up miss! You are going to be late." A girl with a soft voice told me while knocking on my door. "Hmm...five minutes later Nancy." I said with a sleepy voice. She just chuckled and took off my comforter. I glared at her for spoiling my sleep, but she just showed an innocent smile.

"So what's the time?" I asked her while rubbing the sleep off my eyes.
"Miss nearly 6:30." She replied. I stopped what I was doing and rushed inside the bathroom.
"Why didn't you wake me up earlier??" I yelled at her from inside the bathroom while brushing my teeth.

I rushed downstairs after wearing a simple stripped shirt with jeans and sneakers. I saw mom having breakfast and reading newspaper.
"Good morning mom." I greeted her as I took a piece of bread and my backpack.
"Morning sweetie..." She greeted back with a smile.
"OK bye I'm gonna be late for school." I quickly turned towards the door while my mom stopped me.
"Wait Lyn..." She said. "What now mom?" I asked her, looking at my wrist watch again and again.

"Look dear, I've sent the car to repair centre to get it repaired so take the train today." She said. I just nodded in agreement.
Heading to the nearest subway station. I took my earphones out of my backpack and plugged it with my phone to listen to some music. Nothing's more heavenly than walking on beats.

Being the daughter of  a single parent was hard. My dad left us when he found out that my mom was pregnant. Her own parents threw her out of the house. She didn't abort me and my twin as she felt like we were her only family left. But what did I ever did, only let her down.

I started walking faster as it takes nearly a hour to reach school from here. And as I started crossing the road I looked at both my sides before crossing and took my ear buds out. When I was in the middle a car from nowhere came with full speed towards me. I just stood there, numb, in my spot. The car was only metre away when I felt a soft hand pulling me closer.

I fell on top of a hard chested man as he tightly gripped my arms. I was shocked with the sudden incident and I couldn't help looking at him with wide eyes. He was handsome his black hair fell on top of his brown eyes. He stood up then extended his hands for me to grab on and stand up, which I accepted thankfully. His hands were soft not like other men.
He looked at me with a worried expression on his handsome face to see if I was hurt or not.

"Oh..miss are you alright? Why did you just stand there frozen did you want to die?" He flooded me with his questions while I only thanked him. As I was thanking him I saw that his elbow was bleeding. Maybe because of me, I felt somewhat guilty.
"You are hurt...there." I asked him pointing at his wound.
"Its nothing just a slight cut." He replied after looking at it. I just sighed.

"Nothing! You got hurt because of me. Let's go to the doctor's...you have to get a checkup or else it will inflect your wound." I told him as I grabbed his hand and walked towards the hospital emergency room. He was startled with my sudden action but let me drag him.

Soon we were in the nearby hospital and the guy was now getting bandaged. "Its nothing serious only a slight cut...but you did a good thing ma'am. Your boyfriend is a lucky boy." The doctor said as she looked at him then at me with a smile on her face. He blushed while I sat there expressionless.
I stood up and thanked the doctor then went outside the hospital with that boy.

"OK now you're all fine....and thank you once again for saving my life." I said before turning around and started walking.
"Thanks to you too. Hope to see you again." He replied. I only nodded not looking at him. I looked at my watch and saw I was twenty minutes late. Great now I'm late again.

I walked inside the school building towards my locker to get the books for the first class. Only ten minutes left for the bell to ring. I let out a relieved sigh and closed my locker when I saw a tall shadow in front of me. A boy was standing in front of me giving me his toothy smile. I pointed my finger at me "Are you talking to me?" I asked to confirm.

"Who else is here?" He replied looking around. I just nodded thinking what a fool I'm to ask that type of question.
"We met again." He said. I looked at him.
"Where have I met you?" I asked him as I don't remember where. He looked at me astonished.

He then pointed at his elbow which was bandaged "You took me to the doctor remember a week ago... and I saved you from the accident. Remember?" He said.
I looked at him but still couldn't remember. I have a very bad memory.
"Sorry but I can't remember." I said as the bell started ringing I walked out from that awkward boy to my classroom.
He was standing there frozen as if his heart is gonna break into pieces.

I started walking when I realized who he was. He was the same guy I met that morning, the one who saved me and got hurt because of me. How can I forget? I looked behind me where he was standing a moment ago but he was gone.
What is he doing here? I asked myself.
